hi, i want to make this for my design class, but i can't figure out how to make the thing twirl smoothly and quickly. any advice on the materials used, direction of the string how to tie the string etc? please help. i m in a bit of a hurry .

hahaha that's my boyfriend's jazz band havinng practice a long time ago. They were jamming the song "My Blue Heaven"
