  • Sounds sweet..

  • 586...it's blue....686 is stainless.

  • I find that if you reach through the open cylinder area and grip the cylinder to prevent it from rotating it works much better with the speedloaders. You did just fine with the wadcutters, those are a pain to load with speedloaders.

  • I want to get a revolver for home defense. Will this gun be to powerful in the sense that it might go through the bad guys n hit my neighbor next door??

  • @Roddykm77 Use hollow points and you will be fine

  • Where did you get that pisol grip

  • Nice. I noticed that your time was faster when reloading with the fast reloader instead of putting every bullet in one by one. I'm definitely interested in buying a Revolver for myself. I'm interested in target shooting and would like to one day start. This video helped convince me to get a Revolver. I think they're nicer than the automatic Pistols.

  • does revolvers have surpressors

  • where did you get those grips? need some for my 585 and those are hot

  • hmmm.... speed reloader, grip and rapid fire, little early black ops tips? :D

  • You have every reason to love your 586. I love my 586.

I also prefer revolvers to automatic handguns.

  • No not really. I live in Australia and we have very limited access to loaded pistol ammo. Most people reload their own, or even buy virgin brass and make custom loads. In OZ we can't own guns for self defense, only sport, unless your in police force, or security. Most people here load Wadcutters in revolvers and lead round nose for autoloaders. Some clubs even ban jacketed ammo.

  • what's the point of wadcutters?

  • @SiegfriedZ Wadcutters cut a neat hole in paper targets which helps when scoring matches. The soft point and hollow points tend to leave a star shaped hole with a fuzzy black smudge around it witch can be hard to scorefairly and evenly. A wadcutter makes it much eaier to score, or harder for competitors to argue their scores up. There is also a semi weadcutter the has a button type shape on the top which improves ballistic performance yet still cuts a nice sharp edged hole. Hope this helps.

  • @YosheetaBoneeta Thanks for replying. Also are they any good for self defense?

  • Is that a 4" barrel?

  • you need two of those so u can wear a cowboy hat and shoot them both up in the air at once...plz make this vid?

  • Lol Jeff, you shoulda kept this and carried it rather than the G36 =P

  • I have been reloading for about 5 years now and I have never seen anyone press the bullet down to the neck of the case. Is there a reason your friend reloads that way?

  • @Keithd303 Those loads are using wadcutter projectiles

  • i'll blow a nigga head wit that 38

  • there is more smoke because youre using a cast lead bullet lubed with a wax base lube. Some lubes when used with smokeless loads will smoke almost as bad as a BP load.

  • Lol speed loader = Sleight Of Hand?

  • cool

    vid.

im stuck buying S&W air pistols because you're not really allowed to own guns over here like in the states.

i mean you can buy them. but you have to keep them locked up unless you go to a lisenced range.

can't just got out and shoot in the fields unfortunately.

    u lucky fucker

    lol

  • you should have done a close up of you loading the gun. then some close ups of the target being shot. that would have been cool

  • is it aa 686 or 586 cause u say 686 but the video titles sat 586?

  • 586, when the video was made I thoiught it was a 686, but I foudn out the blued version is the 586, I changed the titel, but cant change the video...

  • I love those aftermarket grips their real nice...

  • I am always sute of my backstop, Im shootign a barrel downhill with ground behind it, beyond that is a hill that climbs over 150 feet...beyond that is about 4 miles of woods...

  • @cutlerylover Besides the fact he is in the middle of nowhere and is surrounded by forest he is clearly keeping the muzzle pointed low at the ground.

  • what is a wod cutter?

  • A wad cutter bullet has a flat front end. It makes nice round holes when punching paper targets. Wad cutter ammunition would be a cartridge loaded with a wad cutter bullet.

  • a little big huh? i love smith and wesson revolver.

  • would if you accidently shot some kid watching by where you were shooting

  • I woujkldnt because I check the whole area before shooting, I even drive behind the woods with ym ATV to be sure no one is on the property...

  • good thing you check

  • @blackchidori527 Why do people worry about shit like that? Obviously responsible shooters are very safe.

  • @blackchidori527 You are a retard.

  • How much do you buy ur guns for?

  • yeah Jeff :D

  • i confused i thought those were blank rounds but you said you hit your target.

  • thats a really nice gun jeff sweet vid 5/5 and fav

  • dude dont empty the casings on the dead grass it could catch fire

  • Grass doesnt burn very well.

  • wisconsin ag has clarified open carry woohoo!

  • hey jeff can you explain what wad cutters are for me? thanks

  • Wad cutters are slugs with flat noses.

I.E. A fmj bullet comes to a round nose, a hollow point almost reaches a nose, but basically has the nose cut off and a hole in the front of the bullet. A wad cutter is just entirely flat.

Not sure if that's a good explanation or not.

  • That's pretty damn loud o_O Wish i lived in the states...

  • can u bumpfire?

  • never tried it, right now I only have pistols and pump actions shotguns and a 22 rifle so nothing appropriate to do that with, even though I cna with say my glock I never tried...

  • whats that?

  • what do thoes rounds do if ur shooting a target?

  • Hey cutlery, that Maxpedition hat your wearing is the bill kinda long on it? i want one but dont like the bill to long.

  • its the same size as all my other hats, average size, not extra long or anything...

  • DIRTY HARRY, reloads are scary. I wouldn't recommend, especially in the GLOCK.

  • I've watched a lot of your videos Jeff but let me ask you something. Why does a fellow your size have such an obsession with owning and carrying so many weapons ? God knows you look big enough to snap the avrage sized man half without a weapon. I mean don't get me wrong I'm a gun owner too , I have a 12 GA shotgun for turkey , a 35 whelan bolt action rifle for deer and a 45 auto the sheriffs dept issued me , and a 12 GA SxS Coach for home defense , why would anyone need anything more ?

  • Its grown to be a hobby, thats all...guns are just fun!

  • Well I guess it could just be me. After 21 years in the Marines and the war in Afghanistan I've seen all machine guns and bayonets I care to see and it's out of my system LOL.

  • hey jeff i am sorry for telling u this but i am not that into guns anymore.

i cant tell u the reason now but if u give me ur email we can talk about it in private

  • sorry i knows its not my buisness but what ever happened sounds scary but try to get back into guns =]

  • and for most people in america, their family didn't even go to america until wayyy later, when everything was established, cities and all... wasn't my ancestors that did it.

  • dude that was tight

  • ☻/ Monkey Spanker

  • hey boewhatever, if ur sooooo proud of germany, why do u wear a NY yankees hat in ur video?

  • Haha ,True.

  • You "rised like a pheonix"? How about fell like a pheonix. Germany slaughtered over 11 Million men woman and children. And then the U.S.A. put a stop to it. So you should be thanking us for saving your country instead of criticizing our gun laws and talking about stupid shit like boobs on t.v. when 90% of the worlds child pornography comes out of Germany.

  • the diffrence between our two countrys is america has always been free. Your country has always been under dictator control. Your are the puppet. Im free. Your not. Have fun being controlled.

  • right, I would never shoot a cat, promise...I dont have anythign against hunters, but I personal dont hunt so I wont be shooting any animals...

  • You didnt have all those morals and values when you burnt all those jews now did you?

  • I do beleive havign the right to own and carry a weapon is a freedom, but not the definition of freedom, but you cant argue the fact that having the right to decide for yourself is less free than if your goverment decides for you, of course the government doesnt want you to own weapons then they cant have control over you...

  • listen man Im not here to argue, you are german and I am american, but that doesnt mean we as individuals represnt our countries, and Im not here to say your wrong and Im right, thats not my purpose, its just different thats all...

  • so because you saw a video of me shootign a gun you have more values than I do? your a starnge person to assume that...Im ahlf German by blood, but I know nothing about Germany as far as culture and I have nothgin against your government or laws, but I live here in the US and yes I am proud we have more rights than you as far as weapons are concerned...whether dumjb people participate or not at least we have more freedom to make the choice for ourselfe without the goverment doign it for us...

  • my last living grandfather passed away a year ago, the gun is mine, I use a tripod, you need to watch my other videos...and yes I traded a william henry folder ($650 knife) for this gun used...I ahve a video on the knife I traded as well...I se your from German, here in the US we are allowd to buy and own guns at 21 yars of age and in my state of PA its very easy to buy them and or in this case trade for one...

  • This is my gun I traded a knife for, not my grandfathers...

  • Nice gun.Just want to point out that you probably have a 586.Smith & Wesson introduced the Model 686 in 1980. It is the stainless steel version of the 586, which was a blued steel finish. It was chambered for .357 Magnum and .38 S&W Special +P calibers. They are available ported and unported with a choice of 6 or 7 round cylinders.Cut from wiki.

  • u should try to do the old west rapid shooting lol

  • Whats the difference between a revolver-type gun and a normal magazine handgun?? I never really knew the differences other than the obvious ones.

(I don't know much about guns, I'm just interested about them)

  • well thats the biggest difference really...is how they feed the ammo to shoot...

  • I meant like would a revolver type gun be more powerful than the others?

  • Wow i really like how that gun looks. Very Clean

  • i've heard 2 things; 1. .38Specials can were down the barrel (and gun itself) and 2. they are a cheap alternative.

    idk which is true.

  • If anythgin the more powerfull 357 magnum w0udl wear down the barrel more, but your talkign like thousands and thousands of rounds before you woudl even notice anything...and yes 38s are alot cheaper than 357's, I think what you hard is that lead bullets will clog up the rifling on the barrel faster which is true...just needs to be cleaned more often thats all...

  • have you ever thought about trying "moon rings/clip". that would cut down on the spaceing. keep making the kool vid's. Hamm336

  • what are reloads?

  • Reloads are used up shells that have new powder asnd bullets in them Im pretty sure someone correct me if im wrong

  • ok THANKS!!!!

  • they also have new primers in them its alot cheeper than just buying shells after the initial costs

  • hey in thinking of unsubscribing to you becuse u never do any zippo videos any more and if you dont use or even like ur zippos then u should do some give aways like come on man

  • Dude somehow I doubt he cares if your going to unsubscribe, he's a human and he doesn't work for you and your zippo needs. I dont mean to be an asshole but really, he doesn't have to give his shit to some random guy on youtube just because you think he doesn't use his zippos anymore, unless of course you know him in real life.

  • well i actually talk to this guy sometimes lol threw youtube of corse lol im just saying he should do some more youtube vids on zippos

  • there is just not enough tiem in the day I love my zippos but its not my 1st hobby knives and now guns come before zippso for me, I will have new zippo videos just not all the time...

  • oh lol yeah i just like love zippos do u everdo any give aways becuse like i have a zippo but its a knock off and cost me 10 bucks and i see the real ones for 30 bucks man thats alot for a kid who just loves fire

  • r u for real

i dont use or even like guns really (just no intrest ya there cool and i like shooting but im not going to buy any and colect like jeff) point is i still watch

jeff i think your pretty god at spreding out the intrests NOW I NEED MORE KNIFE VID HAHA jk

  • sweet hot baby!! nice vid

  • all the vids were cool

  • did smith start making blued revolvers again or is that an older gun..686 would indicate its stainless..or at least its suppose to....

  • This is an older gun...

  • I heard some Ducks...

  • Jeff please show in your review up close how the speedloader works, there are no good movies of that on youtube nice vid and I love that country site of yours awesome!

  • Dude, nice S&W!!!

  • Loving the Grips... but I see what you mean about the reload LOL

  • Loving the gun,

Anyone here from cali?? Im moving there and wish to know how hard is it to get your gun license

  • I like the S&W....

Love it actually, a little romantic so I have a thing for revolvers and 1911's.

  • i have thing for 1911's

have you seen the Kimber Super Match II 1911? (it's freaking awesome!)

  • Yea it does look awesome, and I am sure it fires nice too, but it also has an awesome price tag...lol :P

  • yeah :( ...that's an issue

  • a lot of 1911's are massively overpriced IMO, it goes to that whole romantic thing and how famous they are. You can get good ones for cheap dont get me wrong, but if you want a real Colt, you better bend over.

  • i just can't get over on how they look and holding it's amazing, the slim profile and the weight etc etc for it's worth it for me.

  • Yeah...I dont like them Smith and Wesson revolvers. I perfer the blowbacks and hammer pictols like my p89 ruger and my glock 23(.40) which is bigger than the .380s. he shoots and a lot nicer. I plan on getting the glock 27 subcompact soon :D

  • fair enough, each to their own.

the only thing that i can't get over is the whole polymer thing with a glock but i won't say more on that until i fire one.

  • agreed. Capacity isnt as large as more modern designs, but man, they are so damn sexy, and the pretty unike beaver tail safety feels pretty nice in the hand.

  • i think capacity is nice but the double stack magazines make the guns such as the glock 17 thicker in the hand.

also the 1911 makes up for the lack of modern capacity with general accuracy, durability and reliability not to mention the .45 round it uses.

and there is no questioning of a revolvers reliability compared to modern pistols.

  • I will def take a 1911 over a Glock 36 anyday!

Hell, the 1911 has a better capacity than the 36 as well!

  • Loudest .38 wad cutters I've ever heard!

  • right on man lovin the new gun

  • Nice gun!

  • very nice gun

cant wait till the tabletop review

    5/5

  • what are reloaded bullets? i googled it and i came up with a bunch of forums talking about them, but doesn't really tell me what it is.

  • they are spent cartridges that have been reloaded so it's pretty much recycled bullets

  • yes herobubba1960 is right, its where you take an empty shell and reload new powder, primer, and bullet into it so you cna shoot it again...

  • You just Dirty Harried that barrels ass!

  • Hey, do you do any paper target shooting?

I would like to see how accurate is your Glock 17.

  • when I 1st got ym glock I did a few vids on paper target shooting, but keep in midn it was literally the 1st time I ever shot it so its more accurate than the vid shows, I will revisit that for sure over the summer when I spend all day al my grandfathers and cna relax and take my time and put up a popper target...

  • Thanks I cant wait to see that, I love the Glock 17 and I like to see how people shoot it.

Just love every single of your videos, knifes and guns reviews, shooting videos ... everything, plus you do some good video quality work.

Also like that sometimes you talk about your non US viewers (like me) from all around the world.

Keep on the good work! Thanks again.

  • itsw actually quite accurate

  • get a desert eagle?

  • Sure, he just went out to buy a 1500dollar gun while he needs his money to erhm... LIVE right now? specially since he has his eye injury and cant do his normal job and no paid sick hours etc >_>

  • nice ;] u should make a vid on how to make reloads lol

  • what knife do you have in your pocket.

  • Hey,

I was just wondering if maybe you could do another collection video but on all your guns like you did with your Zippo collection (showing them all together or in one video)

    just a suggestion.

    thanks, James.

  • great v id

  • i could probably come up with question all day but im sure ull get to them in ur review. BUT just one more cuz im not sure if ull get to in ur review ... What do you mean by shooting reloads?

    im new to guns

  • thats ok you can fidn anythgin out unless you ask, reloads are reloading ammo, meanign after the original bullet was fired you take the empty brass casing and put new powder in it and a new bullet and a new primer on the back so you cna shoot it again, its cheaper to make your own rounds then to buy thenm already made and often times a good reloader cna make even more accurate ammo...

  • im pretty sure that there the brass cases that have been reprimed with primers (what goes off when the firing pin hits them) and ether blanks or bullets.

not 100% sure im no expert

PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG

  • were u hiting somehting because i thought i had heard a rusty hinge

  • yes I was shooting a old burn barrel about 30 yards away...

  • lol some of them sounded louder that others?! i reload 38s all the time lol its alot of work!!!!!!!! cool vid. though

  • yeah slight difference in powder amount...

  • Cool video man! I love the 686!!

    Five Stars!!

  • that revolver had a big kick for a revolver

  • Agreed

  • thsi was nothgin watch my other vids usign regular 38 specials OR when I shoot 357 magnums in it!

  • yep definatly coolness. cant wait for the review. i always thought revolvers were cool for some reason. maybe from watching westerns idk.

some people r probably gonna think im slow but i gotta ask: What did u mean they were aftermarket grips?

  • the wood grips on this are hoguie custom wood grips, this gun comes with a black rubber grip when new...

  • were did you get the speed loader, and how does it work? never seen one for a revolver... well i have just not in action

  • You are cool. =)

  • Coolness

  • you aleays rock

  • nice gunn but i would like some new balisong vids instructionals

  • I have a new one I want to do soon, might use the kimura or the trainer, or maybe the 42, I still have it, the trade never worked out sicne I never heard back from the guy?

  • I dont like the trainor u got. I have the same one and was dissapointed when i got it.. How do you feal about it??

  • the ronin gear balisong trainer? wrong vid man, lol but its ok, Ill hav a review soon, but cheap is well chap, lol, Ill talk more in the review...

  • The one with all the holes on the blade and says CANNOT BE CHARPENED... Its bad.

  • wrong vid dude

  • Well, who wants a charp blade anyways :P

  • Yea thats what I have. First time practice bali buyer I personally think its good.
