Ah pois é, mal informado e preconceituoso.

E coisas maravilhosas u.u

  • I'm sorry, bue Rio de Janeiro is not the most dangerous city. I may agree the favelas are the most dangerous place, but is not the whole city.

  • The New Elite Squad: The Enemy Within comes out in the US this fall/winter.

  • @swarden you ignorant cunt, all the cities in the us and the cities in europe dont compare to what happens in brazil i live in the us and new york and la are a joke compared to the violence in brazil dude, dont talk if you dont know what the fuck youre talking about.

  • this movie goes on my all time favorite list and in the top five. it was no tonly an excellent and intelligent story line but the action and acting was superb. if you enjoy gritty, real life stories about life like most dont see, then this is for you. Cant wait until the 2nd film is released in the US. Netflix carries the first one but hasnt announced a release date for the second.

if you dig the movie and want some more of this director then check out "City of God" another excellent flick

  • i hated this movie. it doesnt suck, but i really hated it.

  • è sim , é tudo brasileiro rsrrs.

  • deve ser msm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! essas porra

  • Esse é simplesmente o melhor filme nacional!

  • o trailer americano é fodastico

  • Great movie! Truly insipiring, nice for me coz I will became police officer and soon to be join in S.W.A.T.

  • So Are you the student ? Do you know how to fly ,student?

  • Bullshit, everyone knows that Tokyo is the world's most dangerous city. Where else gets attacked by giant atomic fire breathing monsters on a regular basis? Criminals and corrupt cops ain't got shit on 100 meter tall lizards.

  • I´m so proud that it´s a brazilian movie... Elite Squad 2 - Much better!

  • "In the world's most dangerous city"??? Accordingly to IBGE, Rio isn't even Brazil's most dangerous city! There hundreds and hundreds of more dangerous cities around the globe. This is just cheap sensationalism to catch the audience.

  • @franciscoslade You are Right!!!!! I doubt that favelas are more dangerous that the streets in Baltimore, Chicago or Northeast DC...Cheap and pure sensationalism.

  • @alnbarros Yep... Pure sensationalism.

  • The world's most dangerous city????????

  • horrible trailer that doesnt do service to the movie, making it look like your generic action flic when it is so much more

  • 2nd year...my car got broken into twice...to make it short, my car got broken into 5 times in 5 years, and I was robbed at a gun point once, so, shut up, stop criticizing, and start taking care of your country in stead of mine. I love America! but I hate some americans!

  • It bothers me a lot how many people who are commenting here have never even been in Brazil...so since I know very well both sides, for I lived the past 7 years in the USA, let make this a little clearer...1st of all, USA is very dangerous, of course, I'm not gonna say it is as much as Brazil, but it dangerous enough for all of you to shut up. I lived 16 years in Brazil, and I was never robbed, in my first month living in USA my house got broken into, my brother was robbed at a gun point...

  • Awesome movie!

  • Not dangerous? I guess 6650 cases of first degree murder a year says otherwise. Of course, if you're rich, you don't see any of that. But the majority of the people there isn't rich. And yes, I've been there.

  • Eles deram o enfoque errado...

  • @flamepeace mostraram a polícia comum, problemática e corrupta sim.

  • @fezao91 vai c fuder o prof de gramatica do you tube

    baitola

  • Why is Rio de Janeiro the most dangerous city of the world?? and Bagdha? i think some people outside this country that i live think that all we are a joke, but the most part of the politics here are fucking lier, but some people in the US and UK i dunno whatever the country think that brazil only has dangerous people and things like that.

  • Man, foreigners don't have a frikkin' idea from what is going on in this shitty country. Some people are saying: "this movie gave us a bad reputation", BUT IS THE THE TRUTH, it's impossible do deny it

  • aposto q é tudo brasileiro comentano em ingles

    kkk

  • @temponnis Péla-saquisse sem tamanho, né?

  • @temponnis you bet (pode crer)

  • American trailers suck.

  • "FAVELA" is a Hell

  • The movie is great yet this trailer stinks.

Yet I am sure word of mouth will make this movie a hit.

The same thing happened with Death Race - critics despised the movie yet everybody I know who have seen it had fun watching it.

    Power to the people.

  • they managed to turn an amazing movie into a dumb generic holywood action flic with just a trailer :(

  • Horrible trailer. Does not follow the spirit of the movie at all.

  • Rio, the most dangerous city in the world??? WTF?

What about any city in middle-east?

I live in Rio and I've never been even robbed.. that's just ridiculous to say that our city is the most dangerous.,

  • HAEIUHIUAUIAEH

they grew up in the worlds most dangerous city.

there's something to have fun about. brazil is so insignificant to the US guys, that they tell that rio de janeiro is the most dangerous city, only to make mercandise.

    c00l

  • Brazil Rulezz !!!

  • Rio is the fake people happy place, they all has some dirty, unnoble behind of their smiles.

  • @jayronsoares Oh, is that it? And how are people there where you live??? And what do you know of Rio and Brazilians? Besides, this is just dumb and irresponsible generalization. And prejudice.

  • Traduzindo

PORRA!

L.A, RIO, SÃO PAULO, NOVA IORQUE, GUADALAJARA, LONDRES, BERLIN, CURITIBA, OSLO, TOKIO, ATÉ MESMO CIDADES PEQUENAS NA SUÉCIA TEM PROBLEMAS COM DROGAS, VIOLÊNCIA E CRIMES!

    Acordem, pelo amor de deus

  • Are you guys really comparing statistics to know which cities are most dangerous? And then what? The most dangerous will win some kind of prize?

I can´t believe, instead of discuss a solution everybody is trying to say, "my city is safer than yours, ha ha ha, you´re fucked and i´m not!" BULLSHIT!

L.A, RIO, SÃO PAULO, NEW YORK, GUADALAJARA, LONDON, BERLIN, CURITIBA, OSLO, TOKYO, EVEN SMALL TOWNS IN SWEDEN HAVE ALL VIOLENCE AND DRUG PROBLEMS! CRIME AND ALL!

    Wake up, please!

  • @swarden curitiba is not even close to the others cities, dude. escolheu mal o exemplo

  • @swarden Rome, Naples????

  • You got that right @swarden

Look at Vancouver: Most liveable city in the world, AND Canada's Gang capitol.

As well as Denmark, I went there for a biz. trip and DAMN...do not walk around after a certain hour man...THEY EVEN HAVE THE HELL'S ANGELS MC! In Scandinavia...I had NO idea!

  • @swarden LMAO

  • @3o5Miami lol

  • @swarden Man, according to ONU, Curitiba is the 3rd best city to live. You can't talk about things you don't know about.

  • Well, i was born in a favela and it isn't dangerous like that. At least where i lived.

  • just like noobs going to afgan!! idiots~

  • @DjRicCoFlaVaSP Actually not dude Brazil has a lot of corruption economies the number of corruption has fallen more than enough thank god the problem of corruption all countries have it

  • Vc conhece o paraguay????

  • @DjRicCoFlaVaSP at least we know how deep our hole is. you?

  • That is the best brazilian movie ever. And yes Brazil is a dangerous place, compared to any north american standard. We have to admit the reality of crime , in order to change it!

  • rio is a terrible place, ugly and dirty people.....

  • The Brazilian trailer is better because it has a lot of Capitain Nascimento speechs, which is the trademark of the movie. This one shows the action scenes, it is a more Hollywood style.

About Rio, is like other metropolis around the world. If you live in noble towns, like Tijuca, Ipanema and Copacabana, you are safe. If you can't pay a flat in front of the beach, you peril.

    sorry for the englsh :(

  • These Americans only talk shit, they see an action movie and leave commenting filth and lies about a country that they probably do not know.

The film is based on real events, but shows a very exaggerated and distorted vision of reality (remembering what was done for entertainment.) Brazil is the best place to live in the world. You were talking about the police that crap to you are effective. at least here, we do not have millions of serial killers, terrorists, and racist bastards.

  • I too lived in rio and I knew many middle-class residents who were robbed or kidnapped, had their apartments invaded, had their car hijacked--the probability of that happening in Brazil is much higher than in the US or Europe.

  • Amazing film. I love it!

  • Epic movie

  • Shit trailer compared to the Brazilian one. It's like every God damn trailer in USA needs to have such a boring narration and some sort of stupid HD effects.

  • é nois na fita

  • Damn... This is the WORST trailer i've ever seen. In USA they realy dunno how to make a trailer =)... just look to the brazilian trailer and you will understand.

  • Really good movie

  • City of god was a nice movie too

  • i'll tell you the truth in rio the violence is a big problem i live in slum, the same this film were made, in turano here i don't see so dangerous as it is in the others

the thing is if snitch neighter you die or you you'll be verywell punished with a lot of pain

if you stay quiet in the slum you survive ;)

  • thnks some of the us people just see the worse think

  • Why ? Because the 'gringo' comes here and be happy with drugs givin money for the trafic, and never finish .

  • I'm live in Rio de Janeiro, and it is not a dangerous place. u guys have to ready more about that. here live the best people of the world, u cam go on the streets and see people allways happy. only the "favelas" are dangerous. if u don't go to a "Favela" or don't have drugs, u can live happy here forever! and u can see it in this movie, the war is only in the "favela" not in the city.

  • emmm, I rather not

its looks like every second of your life is full with pain and misery and the only thing you do is trying to survive there

    I will never go there

  • just the slums are dangerous ],

    the rest is beautiful

  • Slums? what are slums?

  • when the dealers live

  • and they live almost everywhere, no?! except the Rich Neighborhoods,

and why the police does not destroying this Slums?

  • cause there are good people who don't have too much money

    and there are dealers too

    X...(

  • because police does not have a war tank

  • @jaguar4u2 No, there are many slums in Rio, but they are a minority. Most of the city is beautiful and rich. But the fact that the slums can be seen side by side with the rich neighborhoods makes everyone think that the entire city is one big violent slum.

  • @jaguar4u2 Rio is a big city...it has over 6.000.000 people in the city and about 12.000.000 in the metropolitan area. So you can live peacefully in the city, you will find wealth and prosperity but you can also find misery and poverty in it. The HDI of the city is 0,840 (high). So, come to think, can the city be the nightmare that you're thinking?

  • @jaguar4u2 Hmm, that's a way simplistic view. Care to look more about Rio. The slums are really a minority. You think they'd choose it to host the Olympic Games for no reason? Rio is one of the most beautiful and fun cities in the world, i can assure you that. Those slums make the city look bad, and they can't simply be wiped out, because honest poor people also live there. And that's what makes it so complicated.

  • I dunno,

I saw the movie "City of Angels"

about gangs in Rio De Jenero

they were killing kids, they always were looking for fights, drugs

and the narco dealers ruled the city

and it was said there that the police is curapted and under their rule

this gave a very bad impresion about Rio

  • @jaguar4u2 I think you meant "City of God". It is an excellent movie, should have won the Oscar. But hey, that movie was 99% about the poor part of Rio - the favelas. And the movie is placed in the 80's! Brazil is slowly improving. We're in 2010 already! I can assure you that Rio is wonderful. It's such a beautiful place...no landscape in the world can match Rio's...the only sad thing is the favelas issue. Oh, and i've never heard gunshots or been robbed in Rio de Janeiro...

  • Well, If you live there, I gues you know better

I just hope the Brazilian Goverment realy care for its people and gives them freedome

and the police is there to protect

  • @C03LH0

    you never heard gun-shots ?

    you must be deaf !

you havent been robbed ? Ok.. but some of your friends sure were ... or you dont have friends ?

  • @cleopatraFirst Yes, i have friends who were, of course. But i'm just saying that it's not like many people think. It's not like if you come to Brazil, you'll be robbed.

Me and lots of people i know have never been. I know some who were, but it's a minority.

But it depends of the region, in Brazil.

  • your loss.

  • @valeriaprofessora still living so close to the favelas isnt very much safe. how are things like kiddnaping and robbery common in Rio? I would bet more common then in Us or Europe

  • @valeriaprofessora é i live in rio de janeiro e não I'm ...

  • @valeriaprofessora True and i liked this movie as well, but remember innocent people live in those favelas so if people view it as its not my problem, then what hope do people have of ever getting out of there.

  • @valeriaprofessora i also disliked that htis movie gave brazil a bad rep but this movie had a lot more pros than cons, this movie shows that not only the drug traffickers are assholes but some policemen are as well. And also the view of the of the rich and spoiled.

  • @valeriaprofessora Poor English aside, you can't live happily ever after in Rio, no matter the neighboorhood. If you live in Zona Sul or Barra da Tijuca, it's somewhat safe. Go to the suburbs; go to Bonsucesso, Jacaré, Senador Camará, Campo Grande... go to Sepetiba, Padre Miguel, Acari... this is Rio too, not only Leblon or Ipanema.

Spend a year in Ricardo de Albuquerque, that's no "favela", just a poor neighboorhood. Where's the "happily aver after"?

  • @valeriaprofessora lie... tourists only know how beatiful rio is, and thats pretty much all. this picture is great to show the other reality, not THAT predominant, but another real one.

  • @valeriaprofessora Stop lying Rio is extremely dangerous.

Maybe you should try one night out alone.

  • If they don't us AK's, AR's etc, then why are police constantly confiscating them. Try watching some Brazilian news or just hit the BOPE's website and see some of the stuff they have confiscated. Or, since i believe that to be beyond your mental capacity, watch 'BOPE - Armas Utilizadas' here on youtube. At 1:30 of that clip that's a KID with an AK-47, M1 carbine, AR-15 with grenade launcher and a PT-92. That's present day, not twenty years ago. And that's every day in RJ.

  • Fuck the corrupt and the potsmokers. Death to em all.

  • Wow you are one stupid mother fucker... Actually, i don't live in LA, and yes, i know my name is TGS but i'm not a 'game noob' whatever the fuck that is, nor am i a hacker... I merely statistically PROVED that Rio's crime rate is higher than LA's. The problem we have here is fuckheads like you that don't understand facts and think they know everything.

I'm pretty sure if you hate gays, you need to kill yourself, cuz you are one.

  • who the fuck uses crime statistics to brag about their city anyways?? YES, the US is as Fucked up as any other third world country... we all know that!

  • Just to metion.

The only Police Force on the world Who uses LMG ons fighst are the Brazilians.

They Use HK21 as suport gun O_O

    And Drug Trafic uses G3, AK-47, M-16, Even AT-4 !!

Were in LA u will see a guy shooting a danm Bazuca and Grandes Against you?

  • esto e no rio por turistas

  • Rio De Janeiro is NOT the most dangerous city in the world. It's not even as dangerous as LA.

    I loved that film.

  • haha pal... you don't know what you talking about. you REALLY REALLY don't know. In L.A You don't have to worry with every night fire shots around all town. I said ALL.

  • You dont have to worry evry night. have you have fucking been to rio? only the favelas are dangerous, and not all of them, are dangerous.

In brazil, as long as you're not in the drugs business, or don't frequent the favelas you're safe.

  • @hefesto79 Look at what you're saying! And who says that you can hear gunshots around all town in Rio?! Have you ever BEEN here? Don't talk about stuff you don't know.

  • Sorry, but actual research says the opposite. LA has a murder rate of 12.4 per 100,000 inhabitants, Rio's is 78 per 100,000. That's 6.5 TIMES higher in Rio. Look at the way "lei do cao" plays out in the favelas. Drug dealers literally run the favelas through violence and intimidation and kill anyone who stands in their way.

  • Offense: Aggravated assault, the rate in 2001 was 0.61 for Brazil, 23.78 for Japan, and 318.55 for USA.

Offense: Larceny for 2001 was 309.91 for Brazil, 1401.26 for Japan, and 2484.64 for USA.

Offense: Motor vehicle theft in 2001 was 88.51 for Brazil, compared with 44.28 for Japan and 430.64 for USA.

The rate for all index offenses combined was 927.41 for Brazil, compared with 1709.88 for Japan and 4160.51 for USA.

by: arthur wyss, american who works with immigration.

  • Ok, that's nice but means absolutely nothing to the matter at hand. Ok, so the USA AS A WHOLE has a higher crime rate, in your selected fields, but that has no bearing on Rio vs LA. You can't compare two cities' crime rates by looking at the whole country, national stats are completely irrelevant in this case.

p.s. Immigration officials are not criminologists so their position carries no weight in these matters as well.

  • Man 2007, the brazilian police allegedly killed 1,330 people in the state of Rio in 2006 1,063 people were killed.

The American police killed only 347 people in whole of the United States during 2006. That is the entire USA which is a big country.

This is not something to brag about, the US is way safer than Rio de Janeiro, in terms of homicide crimes.

  • @andresoares77 give me a break, just one exemple, if the police went to oakland and richmond california they would find just as many criminals as u mentioned but of course they wouldnt kill them, they are too scared to go to jail or get the death penalty since everything here in the US is about freaking race and racism!

  • @luveverything1 Number of criminals vs number of Crimes are different topics.

The US cities are safer than other countries, since the law "relatively" works if you are to compare

them with othercities in Latin America, eastern europe, etc

We are talking about war weapons like AR-15 and AK-47, grenades, rocket launchers. You don't see criminals taking down a Police helicopter with a rocket launcher in the California, like it happens in Rio, unless it is in Hollywood when making Movies.

  • @andresoares77 I never saw a helicopter being attacked by rocket launches at rio de janeiro

  • dont fhink american citys are the bedest in ze world, just because people rap about them doesent mean its worse than brazil and souf africa
