  • nice, i have a work in progress. almost finished, just need to put new five way switch and some other fun goodies for inside. but the outside is done. check it out in a few of my videos if you want.

  • You should expect someone to break into your house and steal that black strat. Just saying! :P

  • I usually don't like black guitars, but i'll make an exception for this one..........this one is actually pretty cool

  • i dont usually like black fenders but this one...whoa momma!

  • thats pretty damn awesome, thats pretty much what i was planning to do for my next project :L

  • good shit bra

  • Nice guitar, man!

    Just two things' missing:

    -The string tree

-A new decent steel block for the tremolo!

  • i need help, i changed my strat's pickguard. now every time i strum, the "g" string makes a rattling noise. how can i fix that?

  • @jbcarpio easy just lower the pickup a littlle bit or you may have to adjust the trusrod

  • sorry to say

but when theres a guitar that has a black finish and black pickguard it looks gayyy

    but thats just my opinion

i like the gold a lot tho

but only on sunburst!!! no black

  • put a custom warmoth neck on it with a 24 overhang then you got yourself a badass-er guitar. I modded my mexi strat also. supervee trem, HSH routing, schaller tuners, evolution pickups, abalone 3 ply pickguard with push pull pots. its nice, but it needs a new neck. how much did you spend on this one?

  • Stratocaster > Les Paul

  • This fender reprisents the David gilmour model alot besides the gold bridge and gold input

  • nice guitar well done!, have a cigar!

  • man those custom guitars look very cool

  • that is the sickest fender I've ever seen!!

  • no string tree?

  • just another strat............

  • 3 strats & 1 les paul? Hmm... Somebody's biased.

  • the all black one: is that pick guard you can pick up at musiciansfriend, com?

  • i just jitzed my pants...

  • awesome guitar man!!! i wish i had a strat like that!!! and what's the name of the song you used in this video?

  • oh man !! i wanna it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty sexy

  • I think Fender makes an all black strat now

  • is there a reason i dont know why the tremolo cover is always taken off on strats?

  • nice background music

  • OMG Good Job ,

    very nice guitar dude !

  • good job man!!!

  • thats a sexy guitar

  • the mex strat is the best deal in the entire fender line (for the money). Why buy an American one when you can find a good used Mex Strat and hot rod it. Thats what I did. I bought a Mex sunburst, put on a tortoise shell pick-guard, lace sensor pick-ups and an out of phase switch.....came out just great

  • Sweeettt! Looks really good. Nice work.

  • would look awesome if the headstock with black especially with the gold tuners

  • good job!

  • Nice set up! I've gotten to the point that I actually order custom necks and bodies and then build my own Guitars. I am very particular about neck shape and wood type( neck & body tone wood).

  • mind of the mad genius. ha ha ha bow down to the ax building bad ass. 5 freaking stars baby

  • do you know any good pickups for like grunge and stuff like that

  • do the sperzels fit on the neck with no modding?

  • No offence, but I think that's just a waste of money. I just got some pieces of tape and made some cross customizations along with my signature solo. If I'm lucky enough I'll get a pair of EMG humbuckers and get the pros for the pickup replacements. MY beliefs are that what matters more is the sound, NOT "sickness", although I DO think that the headstock needs redesigning.

  • @race1717 in my opinion, you'd be wasting your money on EMGs. IMO, EMGs sound like crap!

  • @qwecars EMG humbuckers give off all that Torque you need. If you get a Zakk Wylde 81/85 set and a 3-way pickup selector for Les Paul-style guitars, it will sound like a Schecter. All you need is a pickguard that holds humbuckers, Floyd Rose locking nut and tremolo, Schaller locking machine heads, and a new Strat neck with 24 frets to have all the features.

  • @race1717 I just think EMG's tend to sound too electronic which is the opposite of what I like. Seymour Duncans and Dimarzios sound much more natural & are much better pickups for the price in my opinion.

  • its not set but it is sexy

  • what pickups it has?

  • song?

  • @tasfa10 really? use google

  • @JByer777 uh?

  • That is a very nice guitar.

  • NICE! :DDDDDD

  • nice guitars...also nice song choice

  • Nice! i just bought my first strat and wanted to see some cool mods. excellent work.

  • I like thoose golden tuners

  • fuck i jizzed the couch when i seen this...nice

  • If it plays and sounds as good as it looks that'll be one heck of a great guitar. Nice job mate.

  • I like the Floyd music you played along with it. Quite the nice touch to this video!

  • personally, i think that black hardware gives a sharper constrast on maple

  • what pickups are those?

  • looks really nice, the only thing i didnt like is the missing temolo plate on the back, you should put it back on there

  • thats a great looking guitar! that inspired me to customize my MIM.

  • Did you have to drill out the holes for the new tuners?

  • Why would you? they would just go right where the old ones where...

  • Different brand tuners have different diameter pegholes, Different length of tuning post... and the offset some have.

  • it definitely looks better afterwards

  • Play it damn you!!

  • I do. Check my vids

  • why did you take off the string tree?

  • i think its becasue he has stagged tuners so the angles are all set up on the headstock so its better without the string tree.

  • 100% correct!

  • yay ! thanks XD

  • Was it hard to find all the gold hardware?

  • Nope. Got most of it off ebay.

  • what for good neck Tuners for Guitar

  • nice guitar dude

  • Thanks!

  • @jordanm57, Hey man great, great job! i just bought a mexican strat and planned to do the same, i just had a couple of questions but ur video answered it! how much were the tuners?

  • Nice! I have a Classic Player '60's Strat w/ "69 custom p/u's. I modified it with a Graphtech Bridge saddles & a Graptechtech Trem nut. also I wired it so that the tone is for the Bridge & middle p/u's. Also, I put in a pop up knob in he second tone knob so I can engage the bridge & Neck p/u's when the Pickup selector is in position 1, also, when the pickup selector is in position 2 all 3 p/u's are engaged. I have it in Sonic Blue, I wish they had it in Daphne Blue.

  • Cool! My classic player is sunburst, and completely stock. I love that guitar so much :)

  • Yeah my classic player is stock except for the way I set up the electronics and the bridge saddles and nut. I love this Strat! I was gonna buy an American Deluxe, but I played this one and loved it!

  • awesome dude we gotta chat , i have a few guitars , but the 1 i wanna mod a little is presently my hss mim strat i got some ideas i would love to chat with you about and would appreciate any advice you could give , thing is its so expensive here in Ireland ...but thank the stars for e bay also ha,ha

  • Your guitar is the "dogs bollocks."

Reminds me of JPS Lotus Formula 1 Car

Black and Gold looks really expensive.

Well it actually was $700 in your case!

But it looks worth it for the impact it has on the eye as a piece of art.

Hopefully it sounds as good as it looks!

I've just started modifying my MIM strat.

Locking tuners, LSR Roller nut, Seymour Duncan mini blade humbuckers . Cool Rails (neck), Vintage Rails (middle) & Hot Rails (bridge). It sounds the Dogs!

    Let's see some more!

  • Thanks man! My MIM turned out way better than I expected it to, and its kinda cool to watch people drool over it wherever I go. Good luck with your mods, I was very close to putting a hot rails in mine haha.

  • Very nice man! Great job!

  • Man that Strat is Insane. Black and gold look good together. I got a chrome red Strat with a Rosewood fretboard. Got any suggestions?? I was thinking chrome pick ups and pickguard and knobs. Don't know though. Any more ideas??

  • I'm not a huge fan of chrome pickguards. I would do a black pickguard, and white knobs, but thats just me. Good luck!!

  • two things:

1:what kind of pickups did you use,

2:and how well does the tremolo arm stay in tune?

    (beautiful guitar, by the way)

  • It stays in tune very good. Check the info box for all the specs

  • mexico...neck no buono... legno molto secco trucciolato..

  • English??

  • Wow that was a realy sexy guitar there!

    :DD

  • I have the Same Pickups as you i paid 110 pound each for mine :) there amazing pickups, better then my emg's for the music i am playing atm

  • I agree, they are awesome!

  • u shouldnt put ur les paul on the bed like that coz the way the headstock is bent it warps the neck by the pressure of the body

  • beautiful guitar

  • i agree, fuckin awesome strat

  • dude that strat is fucking awesome

  • hey i have a question. im gonna be upgrading my strat too. its a mexi. and i was wondering how the lace sensor pickups sound? i play rock jazz blues and some metal stuff too.... i was thinking lace sensors, seymour duncans, or emg's. but i cant decide...... oh and what ne tuners did you get? thanks, sweet axe by the way, i love fender

  • check my videos, there is one of me playing this guitar. I got sperzel locking tuners

  • wtf, i want have exactly the same guitar...listen, i alredy have a fender squier, its exactly like yours used to be...how much would it cost if i have already the guitar???, and where did you buy all you needed???...is there any risk changing the tuners??

  • I had to stick it out through that long ass endless floyd song and we never got to hear the damn guitar play? Fucking tease. Nice looking ax though. I kind of like the Mex's.

  • Look at my other videos, theres one of me playing it.

  • whats the name of this pink floyd song

  • HAVE A FUCKING CIGAR! HELLYEAH!

  • have a cigar

  • By the way, which one is pink. Check out OIL SPILL ELIMINATOR on You Tube

  • great song man. i absolutely love pink floyd.

  • how did all of that cost you 700? haha

  • haha, thats exactly what I said when I was done. Keep in mind, thats including the cost of the guitar ($300)

  • Nice guitar mate - pity you didn't put White pickups & knobs on though. Being a Floyd fan you could have imitated Gilmours 'Black Strat'

  • I have another question, I might be wrong but i saw the sperzels don't have screws? does that influence your tuning.?

  • i am doing the same thing my self but from scratch i got all fender parts and it is half assembled but i am just waiting on the neck to arrive from usa

  • the 3th one is also cool but the stratocaster is better because i have one lol!!!!

  • i know this is random, but the 3th?? lol its 3rd man.

  • gotta question man. did tha lace sensor's come with everything you needed to put them on? or did u run into trouble?

  • Everything is there, but you need a soldering iron to put them in

  • Brilliant song. You gotta love the Floyd. Now, all that guitar needs is white pups and you're set.

  • how do those pickups sound with rock distortion and on clean i was thinking of doing the same thing with a used (hopefully worn out looking) strat

  • The bridge pickup (red) is amazing for rock, punk, and even metal. The Middle (silver) is more for grunge and funk. The neck (blue) is good for clean tones, and blues. With this pickup combo, you can play almost anything.

  • i love mine lol they really are an amazing pair of pickups

  • what if the fret dividers were gold too...hmmm

  • That would look sweet, but I ran out of money to do that

  • thanks!

  • now that's what i call a guitar! but i have a question, why should i buy sperzel locking tuners? what is so special about it?

  • they stay in tune forever and they take half the time to restring.

  • I own a fender strat and I'm always struggling with tuning because of the tremoloarm, does it go well with the sperzels? and if you say in tune forever, do you mean FOREVER? without exaggerating? :p just asking because i want to spend my €70 well :p

  • Well obviously they dont stay in tune forever, but mine will stay in tune for at least a week or 2. They will make it so that you can use the tremolo without it going out of tune, but you still cant go crazy with it.

  • through time ur strat withh get better at this....

  • good to know, I'm going to put them also in my epiphone les paul, stocktuners suck

  • sweet! im saving for a strat myself. cant wait!

  • ill give you 20 bucks for the tuners

  • i mean the old ones

  • sorry, there on my squier!

  • id buy that

  • That black fender must feell good on the neck mmmmmm natural wood

  • heck yes

  • i want it sooo bad! perfect color and shape and sound for me!

  • how does it sound?

  • Amazing. Look at my killing in the name cover

  • The body is amazing, but I wish you used a darker fretboard with some cool design rather than the dots. I also wish the headstock was a darker color. Still a beautiful guitar, though

  • I would have too but i only had 3 or 4 hundred to spend

  • That is one of the most beautiful strats I've ever seen. I thought the Paul Gilbert strat looked good (black finish & pickguard, maple neck and white knobs, pickups) but damn, that strat looks like a "black beauty" Les Paul. Fender seriously should offer this one as a Mexican Custom Shop model or something, because I'd buy it. Great work! How do the pickups sound? Keep on rocking and greetings from Germany!

  • i think you mean the 'david gilmour' strat. lol

  • Erm, yes. Don't know how I came up with Paul Gilbert o_O

  • Come in here, dear boy, have a Fender,

    you're gonna rock hard!

  • haha

  • My guitar is just like yours before you upgraded.

  • man that is a beatiful guitar i would love to have one just like it

  • Thanks

  • lol this makes me angry i bought a new strat (MIM) for 650$ and you did this for 700$

  • I bought mine for 300 used in perfect shape

  • how come the parts of the head stock are missing and great song and guitars, your strat is pretty close to a guitar i dream of customizing when im older the only difference is the pickups and thats pretty much it

  • Its the string tree, and you dont need it because of the sperzel tuners

  • Beautiful Strat man.

    I have a question though?

Why did you take those two metal pieces of the headstock off?

    What exactly does that do?

    Thanks!

  • The new tuners are staggered, so it pulls the string down by itself without help from the string tree. Look it up on the sperzel website, they can explain it much better than i can

  • music?

  • nevermind I found it.

  • good job man, what time did you spent for customize your guitar?

  • a couple of weeks

  • ahh beautiful!

i'm refinishing/rebuilding my strat copy and i'm planning on either something like this, or something like a white roadhouse strat deluxe.

  • Thanks, and good luck!

  • did you get all your parts at a local guitar shop?

  • That, and ebay. Saved myself a lot of money and time doing that cause the closest guitar center is about an hour away

  • wow, that is such a nice guitar! definitely worth the change! too bad it's still considered a Mexican :P

  • yea, but it definitely doesnt play like one. I would feel guilty tearing an american strat apart like that

  • are the lace sensors noisy? like to they hum a lot?

  • na hell no man, they don't hum at all. My fave pickups. :)

  • Yup, Mine dont hum at all. But if you want you can still make it feed back on stage

  • need and ebony fretbord and itd be perfect

  • i think i fell in love 0.o love it

  • man i mite do a project like that on a real cheap ass guitar before i do it on my strat lol

  • wow thats the best looking strat ive ever seen in my life... nice

  • thanks man

  • gold hardware...so.....beautiful...

  • that is one freakishly sexy guitar!

  • next one you got to put a floyd rose in it!

  • awesome

  • hey dude...your guitar is insane!!!..i also have an amazing fender stratocaster!!!...visit my channel!!!...and keep playing ;)

    PD: i'm from venezuela

  • Thanks
