They're a mediocre indie band, I'm a fan of the whole surf-wave thing, I even bought this album. But comparisons to Joy Division are laughable at best, offensive at worst.
@whattheholf91 Joy Division? Uninspiring, unendearing, somber boringness. In comparison, early Cure excelled over Joy Division for endearing somber songsmithery. I can appreciate Joy Division for its reasonably innovative musical stylings, but just that. Ian Curtis? ho hum. Thank heavens for The Drums, who are more distinctive, compelling, and endearing than most bands ever are.
Why the new Joy Divion? Ahahahah just because of his way of dancing? Are you crazy? There's no possibility to compare them and joy division, him and Ian Curtis..
ahahahahah al these shits I'm reading make me smile and the a little die inside

i HOPE to god these become the next joy division, theyve got the near enough exact music style as JD , things are lookin good. Favourite band alongside JD and Oasis ;)
@dapsonjackson Oh yeah, its really terrible that bands are playing their own instruments, writing their own lyrics and ridding the industry of chart topping factory-written rubbish that we've got forced into our faces. It's really really terrible isn't it.
If this is where the industry is at now, then what a mighty fine place that is.

You can't reduce Ian Curtis to a funny dance.
