  • What a champion he was. Had the privilege of meeting Dave at Upper Sparks Farm, British round early 90s. One of our greatest motocross riders of all time.

  • dave thorpe u are great but fucking gormless mate

  • Go on Dave !!!!

  • would love to watch it but need to get rid of the shitty snow patrol

  • @STAFFIHOUND stick your fingers in your ears LOVE XXX

  • i like how thorpey said he let them go past then overtook em to see if they would do anything but they didnt ha ha ha what a rider and 3 time WORLD champion! get ole bubba big lips over here and give it a go thats if he can stay on the bike that is lol!!

  • thats the trouble with the yanks they love their airtime and their hot air as well lol!!

  • Dave Thorpe you was my hero.

  • Bubba who?

  • that was my time.

dave thorpe, rolf dieffenbach in 500ccm.

    and bernd eckenbach, dietmar lacher.

now im 34 years old and will say...

    that was my time.

  • Dont let your nan store her music videos in your vlogs mate !!!.

  • C Pourcel is not english like dave thorpe nobend HaaHaaHaaaaaaaah.

  • There's something wrong with you. Don't be frightened.

  • UnaDilla !!!! BURN the bulldozer !!!!!!!!!

  • apparantly thats supposed to be a compliment, weisel reckons it was because he had no style but admits he was a good rider,i mean if your shit you dont win 4 world titles

  • I´m from Gaildorf/Germany . This Track is one of the best Natural Racetracks of the World.

  • I love the track. I wish they still had tracks like this in America. Even the famous Unadilla has been destroyed with manmade jumps everywhere and bulldozing between every moto. Motocross is dead in America.

  • Yes in 1986 Maggoria Italy,,,,, Johnny Omara on a "production based" Honda CR125 Beat Thorpe and his Trick Factory RC500... Look it up here on youtube... The Euros were really inferior to the Southern Californians in the early 80's to early 90's. What hurt the Americans was that all our races, SX and MX are big jumps. Thats why we dont have any riders that could match Stefan Everts on the fast Euro tracks in the mid 90's to present. The next MXDN will be interesting for sure

  • who won the 1985 MxdN? the Americans! Who won every MxdN from 1981 to 1993? The Americans! Who has won the most MxdN? yep you guessed it, the Americans (19).........Give the victors there due. Thorpe was great but dont take away from the accomplishments and ability of the Americans........talk smack when you can actually back it up.

  • who won this who won that ? whoopy .just watch the video again penis like i said dave thorpe stuffs the americans !!!!! just stating a fact hardon. ha ha

  • america, fuck yea!!! usa usa usa

  • @stonewall554 how about you fuck off u fat american keyboard gangsta cunt

  • Thats a team race people!

Don't matter who wins the battle...its which country wins the war!

  • Top Video

    Gaildorf

  • Great video, how much do i want to own this on vhs or dvd. As for the comment on the 86 des nations, you really need to learn your mx history as anyone who knows about it would remember the buckled wheel and the non working rear brake. O`mara on a production 125? i think not, it might of been bought as a standard bike but with the aftermarket products it was most certainly not "production"

  • Yes, the Americans arent competitive now on the fast euro style GP tracks. In the 1980's though, The "yanks" were clearly superior. In 1986 MX des nations (Italy), Johnny Omara (on a production Honda 125) whooped Thorpe ( on his exotic RC 500) And who won the overall in the MX des nations 1981-1993? Ding, the "Bloody Yanks"........ Too bad them californian riders Ward, Lechien, Omara, Johnson, Glover, Hannah, etc are retarted now, hahah.

  • thorpe was injuerd i think in 86 ill admit the americans are dominant right now but back then it was all about thorpey

  • Whatever, scoreboard mate!!!!!

  • I admire them all. American, British, Dutch whatever. DB, Thorpe, RJ, Ward, Lechien, Geboers, Jobe...They are all legends.

  • The americans have got to bear in mind that no matter what they win in america, its still only a national race. the only quick yanks are the top three riders in each class, the rest are just like any other pro, Ben townley proved that as did Antonio Cairoli, Sebastian Tortelli, David Vuillemin, DAVE THORPE and soon to go over there and show the yanks how we do it in England, Tommy Searl. Get your head out of your arse America!

  • Is that why all the best euros come to america to race? And after you get through the top 3 european riders in each class, everyone else is fast too? Every year we hear how some european is going to beat the Americans but they rarely do, and it doesn't matter where the race is. We'll see at the MX des nations. Get your head out of Searl's arse.

  • searle GONNA STUFF SOME YANKS AND WAIT TILL MAX ANSTIES A FULL PRO GREAT BRITAIN KINGS OF THE WORLD :D

  • i dont think searle will win in america but hell give em a good run but you never know with racing

  • all us brittish can do is hope

  • Yeah! Come on over and show us how to ride Supercross. Or tracks like Red Bud with GIANT triples. Even Everts struggled here- Kevin Windham (who has never won a National title) showed Stefan the fast way around Budds Creek

  • when did everts ride budds creek?

  • 250 USGP- must have been late 90s or early 2000s. Everts was hanging in there, but he fell a coule of times. Windam is one of the most naturally talented riders I've ever seen in person- Johnny 'O was the other. KW had the misfortune of riding in the same era as the GOAT (RC) and the King of Suercross(McGrath)

  • You would struggle too on a track 8000 miles from home in anouther country racing with jet lag. Everts stomped Stewart twice at the 2006 Des Nations. Everts stomped Windham and Charmichael twice at the 1999 Des Nations.

Americans are all about Supercross with the big jumps, so much so they are turning all their outdoor tracks into Supercross tracks with the addition of manmade jumps. Americans dominate Supercross but don't even race motocross anymore.

  • @Oddwun this is true Im afraid...I say that as an American. THat is why Everts was so successful against our riders.

  • whooop whoooop go thorpy (king dave)

  • Thorpe was a great rider(so was Nicoll, Georges Jobe, Vromans, etc.) Being an American, I thought we put out some GREAT teams, but Danny "Magoo" Chandler was always my favorite. I think it was Gaildorf where they had to trim the tree branches that hung over the track because Magoo was flying so high.

  • hi if you look in my videos at.Thorpe mx world title no. 1 swiss grand pr.... there is a little bit on danny talking .

  • This video is 1985. 1986 was in Italy when USA went perfect 1-2 in every moto. Including the previously mention Johnny O'Mara on a 125 beating Thorpe on a 500.

  • hi your dead right is was 1986 my mistake many thanks ian

  • the king

  • Thorpe is the man.
