this man is a moron, the reason why people feel alone and helpless in nursing homes is that the nursing home in itself is segregating elderly from the general community in which they live. If this man was truly intelligent he would realize that his system is indeed a farce and all elderly people need to do is get out of these care homes that are the root of segregation and involve themselves in community activities.
We really enjoy the Eden Alternative. I have been a caregiver for years for Encinitas Retirement Gardens in Encinitas, CA. We care for 6 elders and the owners have been using the Eden Alternative for a long time now and it is wonderful to always see the elders lighten up and have big smiles when they engage with kids and with pets. Just amazing!
