Yeah even though Mikael wrote most the music, I kind of liked Peters solos better. I think Akesson is more than just a shredder, though. Opeth is always going to be a good band.
yeah man seriously that arch enemy dude Akesson is just a shredder. He was a great addition to the band for their sixth ''doomsday'' but on the new opeth it just - doesnt- happen. Not even CLOSE to the quality we had on deliverance....
Thankyou for posting this series of interviews. He is my favourite member of Opeth - love all his interviews and adore his guitar style. So glad i saw them before he left the band.
I saw Opeth two times and Peter was the coolest dude in this band. He was the most generous graceful and polite to the fans, not to mention that some of his solos are the best of opeth's discography i.e. in When, Moonlapse Vertigo, 1 solo in Wreath and deliverance, White Cluster's solos, 3 solo int Beneath the Mire , great solos in The Funeral Portrait , solo in Forest of October and so on...
that´s the one right meaning!I really agree - I think, I´ve found the way of Peter´s idiom...he has got this so specific...and the combinaition of this and of the Mikael´s idiom is pretty evil:-)
Peter doesn't like jew tactics with record selling, I like that.

Hey dude, how do you know who plays what solos in Opeth? Can you let me know which ones belong to whom?
JPMusicman 4 years ago
every one plays in a certain way, so if you pay a little attention, you get to know who plays the solo
