lol I just couldn't help but notice at how much they contrast... particularly their facial hair. Look at Danger Mouse's awesome fro and then look at James Mercer's awesome beard stands out. And then, Danger Mouse's eyebrows are furrowed while Mercer's are relaxed/slightly raised. And their voices strongly contrast as well. :P Love the album!

I'm simply saying that Mercer firing everyone and doing his own thing in several directions at once means the band you've come to know as the Shins are finished. If on the other hand you think it's all about Mercer, that's cool, yeah the shins are releasing another album. I do feel it's a little ridiculous that he fires two long-standing members of the Shins, and I agree that he has a monster ego. However, I feel like the new Shins album, just like all the others, will be great.
