  • really ho dont even watch bjj vids unless it says gracie

  • @rhodog99 No he wouldn't...he has the right knee trapped with his knee. Fail at the kid that doesnt' know jack about martial arts.

  • @0:46 he would get triangled so fast.. Fail on expert villages side for choosing the to make videos with the people from this gym :/

  • @0.46 he would get triangled so fast.. Fail on expert villages side for choosing the to make videos with the people from this gym :/

  • were can i buy the mats

  • Dont try yhis at home.

  • that piece of shit guy that talks doesnt do shit, they are the ones who do the shit.

  • EXPERT VILLAGE VIDEOS SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!

  • lol so many people are bullshitters. I've trained boxing, kickboxing, karate, tkd, and bjj over the past 14 years. Now all my stand up really supplements the bjj. However, whenever a new guy comes in the gym and thinks he's bad shit, sometimes he hits me, but he NEVER submits me. Why? Because anyone can throw a lucky punch, but when you put that person on their back and in a knee bar, they have no idea what to do. BJJ is a very effective self defense martial art.

  • Ima use this on my older brother (:

  • This BJJ is very good... Thing is it all happens so fast, and usually one needs only 1-2 of these moves implemented properly to take down the average man (unless of course you're dealing with another trained individual). It's not like in the movies and barfights where people take big hits back and forth; people just can't take that anymore.

  • how can i stai in full guard on the street and avoid beeing kneed or stomped in the groin?

  • @alucardseperdalv

By not getting in that position in the first place.

  • I really like this move

  • definitely nothing is easy, examples don't show resistance

  • the US army trains gracie jiu-jitsu look up there hand to hand combat system if you dont believe me

  • @hazard2000 The US army trains in more Judo and Akido

  • @samluke8121 thats not true, theres hardly any aikido at all, alot of what they practice is grappling knife defense ( which is mainly krav maga ) and striking not alot of clinch/standup submissions at all.

  • @mmarantha Well realistically you are not going to train in BJJ fro self defense because you're not going to flop on you're back and go for a gogoplata.

  • btw the american morine core trains kneebars ....

  • All US Military train in some sort of hand-to-hand combat. Not just the marines.

  • Its Marine Corps. And yes we do use the kneebar, my fav submission.

  • Comment removed

  • agreed.

  • krausthebeast You are so stupid

  • you obviously havent been in a fight.

and i actually take mma classes twice a month it is pretty hard to catch people in some of these moves without alot of training

  • this is all kinda pointless. when two ppl are struggling around on the ground full speed plus throwing back and forth your not gonna be able to do half this stuff.

  • that's why there are a lot of different techniques, as soon as you spot a mistake from your opponent you do the move.

In Bjj as long as you got the other guy on the ground you win(unless you're very new to jiujitsu.

  • or if the other guys is a bottom player...theres about 30 or 35 different submissions from guard

  • if you knew anything about MMA you would know that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a self defense style, these moves are actually designed to beable to be pulled off in reality, no matter the size or weight of the opponent. In a real fight no one expects to be put into a submission.. that makes it very effective.

  • i actually do i take a twice a month. if you knew anything about being in a fight you would know what im talking about. without alot of practive and training it is hard to get someone in somehting like this

  • I agree that it can be hard but there are so many different things to do. It just depends on the one executing the move to be able to see it and act on it. It's all on them. Of course, there's no guarantee that these guys won't get knocked out before they can pull off something. That's why I prefer MMA's various styles that they learn. I wish I could train with the military without having to be in the military though. = /

  • so what i dont do it because i want to win in a streetfight (if i want that i will buy a gun) its a beautifull sport

  • I white belt learning knee bars? wtf

  • PPL who think all this other stuff is so good BBJ and mui thai is unstopable if u know wat too do

  • BJJ or GJJ.. also no technic is absolute.. that's why today we have so many successful MMA and freestyle root fighters.. every fight is diferent and every fighter is diferent.. look at lyoto the dragon machida.. one of my favourite fighters.. he's a light heavyweight and has a unique and dominating fighting style.. one of the few fighters that are true to the karate origins.. also sambo locks, judo and wrestling have become more and more present in modern MMA cheers =)

  • i totally agree. bjj got huge in mma, so everyone trained in it, now its not so effective. instead other styles are becoming more and more noticeable..

nothing against bjj though. its art for art the best in the world. royce proved that

  • not to mention alot of the new advances in bjj actually came directly from wrestling and sambo. don't get me wrong, i think the bjj guys are wise to seek out other ways of doing things.

  • Go take a BJJ class and then come back and we'll see what you got to say buddy!

  • muay thai*

  • everyone go to "ultimateteenninja's" channel. He looks like the biggest fag on the planet. He is getting NO pussy...

  • Okay, I see a lot of questions about styles here. In fighting there are 3 different parts I suggest you work on. Standup, clinch and ground. There are many different arts for standup such as Karate, TKD, Boxing, Muay Thai etc. Arts best for clinch are Judo, MT and Wrestling. For the ground theres probably nothing better than Jits but Judo and Wrestling are also good. I personally train MT and BJJ to cover all 3.

  • that or shattering the knee

  • What you think is better Kickboxing, Muay Thai or TAknwo Do

  • Muay thai

  • gracie jiu jitsu

  • depends what you prefer.

    I prefer muay thai/bjj

  • It depends on more than just the style. Check the effectiveness of the style, the gym where your thinking of learning, how you feel about the environment, etc. I personally train in Tae Kwon Do as a secondary style but if I could pick one of those three I would pick Tae Kwon Do last.

  • i do muay thai, and to be honest, best stand up style their is, the most weaponds, and the clinch, those whp knees, they hurt, ive koed 8 opponents using the clinch, also shows gr8 boxing and kicks.

  • I leanred this the first day in bjj an its soo effective. Even if they know what your doing once you have the pressure on their one leg they can't do much about it.

  • its a simple instruction

    but deadly

  • Faixa branca aplicando leg lock??? Sinistro hein!!!

  • thats retarded. no one ever has there leg out when there in there guard making it that easy to dp this move.

  • well you have to break out pushing down with your elbow points first. then attempt.

  • lol i'll put this on u in a sec. internet gangsters...

  • Knowledge and experience are everything in a fight. All of these BJJ moves are useful given effective setup and implementation. Same goes for standup fighting like boxing or Karate. I don't think there is a single move from any martial art that I've learned that I haven't found to be useful in a fight. Those of you bashing individual styles are just clueless keyboard warriors who probably never fought before in your lives.

  • It's amazing how many mouthboxers we're getting here... for once is a voice of reason (thanks to dflynchimp).

I've said before techniques don't win fights - its a fighter's ability to employ a technique effectively in the context match/fight/brawl that makes a technique 'good' or 'crap' NOT the technique itself.

A technique means jackshit if you can't employ it in a pressure situation with a resisting opponent.

  • It's the truth.

99% of the comments here, good or bad are just kids who watched a lot of movies and UFC and all of the sudden became wannabe experts.

Most of what they say is regurgitated junk from what they heard someone else say, and they thought it sounded cool enough to repeat and knock it off as their own "knowledge."

  • your probley right but i take jujitsu

  • You are correct..I take no classes but I study what I see effective..incorporate my own tactics evenand test them with my training partners..but I do not brag about being an expert..

  • @dflynchimp I agree..... most of these trolls dont know what theyre talking about ur absolutely right

  • @dflynchimp A man with an honest answer. I totally agree with your comment pal. But do me a favor, dont let these zuffa zombie fuckers get to you. We know what MMA is and your right it's usefull to know ANY, and i mean ANY discipline going into a "streetfight" or a ring / cage. Let them learn the hard way, in 2 yrs when they've had a few bullies jump on their heads, My advice to them THEn and only then would be I TOLD YOU SO.... L2Fight4Real = Keyword (( LEARN ))

  • go hang yourself karate is for faggots...for example.you.

  • Wow. So your saying the current reigning and undefeated UFC Light-heavyweight champion of the world, Lyoto Machida is a faggot? Ooh, I want to say something but I would rather not be immature....MACHIDA RULES!!!

  • lyoto is also a bjj black belt, it's the mix of the two arts that makes him so good

  • ive been thinkin of practicing BJJ is it effective cuz some ppl say it is others say its not...

  • im starting it todayy

ie been doing kickboxing and muay thai for a couple of months now and i need something for when im on the ground and i was told to take this

  • this is what I definately suggest..I thought about Muay Thai for stand up fighting, what do you think on the effectiveness of this style??

  • oh i knew this move 4 a long time i just 4got about it yay its bak thxz

  • well if you of the guys leg's breaks in half im pretty sure its not that

  • this is a nice move. If you drag your leg across like in the video there is an there is a chance for your oponnent to do an ankle lock -- which is avoided if you step over

  • they train so much in ground fighting but they must train more in take downs

  • yea.... they train in positioning a lot.... that includes the takedown, keeping them in the right position to pull off the submission, then you do the submission once you have them set up for it... you can kno all the submissions in the world but it doesnt mean anything if you cant get into position to pull em off

  • true but most takedowns put you in position for some sort of basic submission (single-leg to a heelhook or a hiptoss to an armbar)

  • yea but also a lot of the time i find it easier to actually pull off the submission bye getting to the ground then doin it... for example that hiptoss u just said to the armbar... i seen a video on that and i personally dont like it cause u gotta be really fast doin it... because if you stay standing the throw will lose a lot of its impact... so they will just move away... if u go down with em the move will be much more impactful... and they will be too hurt/tired to really do anything to avoid

  • I agree... That's why I take both BJJ and judo. This double leg/single leg shit is way too limited and risky, specially now that everyone knows at least how to sproll.

    Judo throws help a lot.

  • hell yea dude... u wanna learn good throws judo is definately the style to look up... that and wrestling... i learned most of my throws from wrestling but judo has alot of the same ones and then the got more technical variations to those moves

  • straiker now know how to defend the takedowns.and i hate it when grablers always go for the legs.u can throw him down with other ways

  • as a single martial art br. jiu-jitsu is the best.but they have to improve the take downs.remember the fight bettwen filipovic and minotauro?

  • aikido is bullshit for movies

  • Awesome technique.

  • I been doing Kenpo since 1976 which teaches you against 2 to 3 fighters but I also do Jiu-Jitsu because if you end up on the ground you better know what your doing.

  • HELLO??? there is no fight style against 2 or 3 people!! come on!!

  • That style is called "Wild Haymakers""

  • Knee bars and Ankle locks are my favourite moves, since they work so well on tall people

  • We can see that Brazilian Jujitsu is great against one individual opponent in a cage, but unfortunately we do not have that option just to defense ourselves against one attacker at all times. Show us how Brazilian Jujitsu stand against 2 or 3 fighters from other MMA.

  • Show me any fighting style against 2 - 3 fighters?

  • Aikido.Works on 2-3fighters.

Belive me ive done it and they were all bigger than me.Althoyht i love jiu jitsu i still think that it is good for one on one match not against more oponents.

  • eh it's great sport, let's leave as that eh guys?

  • Aikido does NOT work against a resisting opponent.

  • Krav maga works pretty well against multiple oponents...

  • does anyone know where can learn bjj?

  • Where do you live?

  • Malaysia..lolz..

i dun think malaysia have submission classes

  • why is the white belt showing the technique?

  • i could do this when i was a white belt

  • that's not my point, anyone who learns this technique could do this as a white belt. it's just doesn't look good for a novice to demonstrate a technique when the black belt could do it himself.

  • maybe he's not?? some schools rank it differently. in my school. everyone wears white belt. until they become brown. )))

  • Fedor Emelianenko can do this, but he doesnt even have a belt!

  • Fedor has been doing Judo and Sambo for almost a decade, he is not new to submission grappling.

  • he has a sambo background.

sambo is reknowned for leg locks

  • still, have you seen ufC? it's not very smart taking a fight to the ground when hes got friends around but if its you and him, and if he faster stronger and better strike than you are its a good time. plus you will only destroy your own hand if your punching him to the head, and it will also be easier for the submitter to lock the leg lock in if hes focusing on something else

  • на тоя както ми се открива му счупвам главата

  • i'm not sure is this a good technique for a street fight you're completely open to punches to the head from the the opponents side that has the leg free

  • not really because if i put a knee bar on someone in a street fight im gonna im not gonna be gentle with it and by the time they react to strike im gonna have their knee dislocated

  • 8===D- - - (:

ha ha ha i could be immature too.

nice vid i'll add this to my arsinal

  • When you hold his legs like that your arms already out and if the guy has any knowledge he'll tighten his legs into a triangle. A leg has more leverage than an arm. You'll have to b fast, as with most guard passes.

  • You xould use this in a street fight! I dont ussally go for this kind of stuff though.....My plan of action is close the distance take it to the ground side mount then mount then do what I want from there. I think stuf like foot locks and triangles might be a little risky altough I have used a triangle once in a street fight before.

  • It wuldn't be practical, although a good idea, because roughing around on the street would be difficult and chances are, in a street fight, no one is gonna let u get them into the Guard Position. It's more practical, however, to use the Vertical Arm Lock, which i LOVE to use in fights, but then again, the best solution to a fight is not fight.

  • That's way over complicating it, however it looks a little different from the knee bar I learned. Instead of this, just step over, fall back, and apply it like an armbar.

  • I think what you learned was the simplified version, actually. It's usually assumed that beginners have precious little hip control, so the moves that require hip control are shown oversimplified. Of course, I could be wrong. Does anyone experienced want to state their opinion?

  • q isso?? branca atacando perna????

    =/////

    vejo cada 1

    iheiehiiehe

  • num eh champ, ta valendo então ^^

  • Yeah, this is a knee bar, the other video demonstrated a calf slicer. Cool stuff.

  • You're right, the best self defense is to give your opponent a kiss and a hug and expect him to go away. Idiot.

  • FUK U

  • fuck me ;) 8===D

  • thats one odd looking penis

  • Don't be jealous...

  • lol nice

  • fatal

  • good shit
