no way dude... this case only fits micro-atx motherboards and is built for low powered systems, like home theaters. you will likely need a full tower case to go 3 way sli with gtx 295's and all the associated hardware. i'd take a look at the Cooler Master ATCS 840 or any of the Lian Li full tower cases for that setup.
It fits mATX AND ATX. Just look at the back, it has 7 expansion ports. And low powered systems? Nah, I'm running 700W on this thing, 8GB RAM, and a Core i5-750, no problems, lots of ventilation. And SLI could go, but don't choose the longest GFX cards, because then you would have to sacrifice one of the HDD-bays.
Take a look at SilverStone Technology if you want more information.
sweet! I was planning on doing a HTPC one of these days. right now I use a mid tower, not the most attractive thing. Anyway, I'm excited to watch you finish this, what tv turner card did you go with, have 3 laying around, that I would consider selling cheap, if you needed one.
thanks... yeah this is my first htpc / home server. i was hoping newegg would have all my stuff in yesterday but oh well, gives me time to tear down my main machine. thanks for the offer, i went with the avermedia hdtv tuner. it's on the way :)
and why didnt u get a nvidia gpu so u can use nvidia pure video
i heard ati also has something like that but is it better ?
i tried once to differentiate between using my cpu and once on a 9800tx and i could see the difference(powerdvd) when i used the cpu it looked a little pixilated when using the gpu it looked much sharper and clearer
Yeah I tried Hauppage and they're great. However this one is low profile (in case I went to an even smaller case) and has the best reviews on Newegg. The official product name is AVerMedia AVerTV Combo PCIe ATSC/NTSC/QAM TV Tuner Card and it is a dual tuner. You gotta get the Microsoft TV pack 2008 add on to media center to get HDTV. It's a pain but a necessity
How's the cooling this case? Thinking of buying one ..

is the cpu fast?
sersam243 2 years ago
Well... sure it was fast enough to run Vista but I actually upgraded to the AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition Kuma 2.8GHz and I was much happier.

Yeah man.. I definitely stand corrected. I see they can fit ATX as well. Glad to hear you have a jam packed and efficient system!

It is, but definitely a very hot setup (as in WARM)
I'm replacing some fans, and putting in some new ones. Hope it will be better.

I might build me one too, so I can have a computer and media center when I move into an apartment, when I get money in the bank!

That's the cool thing about HTPC's. They're not expensive, or, not *supposed* to be expensive. You can do a nice one for under $350. Best of luck...

That sound really good. is that a dual tuner card, I've always used Hauppauge, will have to check out this one.
Cheers
