  • Harpertown 2008 8-core 2.8ghz vs Nehalem 2009 4-core 2.66, which do you think has the upperhand? I'm in tight situation here..

  • Nice mate, thinking of getting one soon, check out my channel ;)

    MacMike1000

  • Jeez this kid knows more than me .... i means its like alien talk ghz..bla bla bla bla bla what r u sayin

  • I'm buying a server, which is this, from my school! It just has a lot more HDD space on it.

  • wow, kids these day sure are spoiled as HELL! WTF!!!

The rotten kids who make these reviews all have bad verbal skills! When i was this kids age, i remember reading books and playing outside. It does piss me off that parent's today buy all this shit for you spoiled rotten kids. don't say you have money, cause your too young to work those girly arms.

  • how did a kiddie like u get a mac like that? does daddy bribe you so you dont tell people he touches you at night?

  • now where did i put my skimask? where do you live? lol jk man fuckin sweet mac pro!

  • what is it with kids being able to wipe their asses with 100$ fucking bills seriously what were your parents thinking buying a fucking 7 year old kid an 8 core mac pro u would be better off with a 300$ netbook u will NEVER IN YOUR LIFE use all of that power and if you had half a brain you would know your needs and that a mac pro is not one of them. sorry but i work hard for my money and seeing something like this pisses the fuck out of me.

  • @medusa1931 Well for starters. I bought that with my money. My parents actually had very little to nothing to do with me buying the computer. Also. I edit a 8 minute full 1080p HD broadcast for my school 3 days a week on my computer. So saying that I don't use the processing power would probably not be completely true. Im also taking a 3d modeling a design class which if you knew uses a lot of system resources.

  • @FLCProductions lets get real here,

your parents must of helped in you buying a $3,000 mac STOCK. like your not even old enought to work yet!!!! not shur what bank you robed but it must of been easy!!!!

  • @FLCProductions your money which your parents gave to you

  • @FLCProductions 3d? i have a pc tht has 2gb ram 250gb hdd and 2.4ghz that can do 3d fine.

  • @FLCProductions Exactly HOW do you get your money? Do you work?

  • @FLCProductions No, you didn't buy that computer with your own money and you know that's a lie. I'm a college student and I could barely afford to pay for my own computer parts to build my own PC. Yes, you're taking a 3d modelling design class..does that mean you're actually utilizing the power (lol) the mac has to offer (double lol). No, you're only learning; you're not using all the system intensive tools that a professional would use. In fact, you probably don't even know about Brazil

  • @FLCProductions (the rendering program) and how to use it effectively. The fact is, you shouldn't be so spoiled and going trying to flaunt it on youtube.

  • @FLCProductions By the way, you're a fucking dumbass. Having less ram is not better than having more ram. In fact, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There are LOTS of things to consider when buying ram. Timings, CAS latency, amount, price, etc., DDR3 Just means that it's the 3rd generation of double data ram. It means nothing in terms of having more or less. In fact, you WANT more ram. Also, you have no idea what the hell a bottleneck is so don't use the term. Finally, don't review.

  • @medusa1931

Why does it matter? You came here to watch the video, not to be to complain about it or be huge douche bag and judge a kid, a KID! He or they had the money to buy it and that's THAT.

  • Time is money and when your editing and rendering video footage, every second counts. Who are you to say that he doesn't need it? Who cares!

  • @medusa1931

It sounds like you are a jealous little girl? Are you going to cry?

  • @medusa1931 i agree but i am buying a mac pro soon but the catch is it is used and it is cheap and i m working my ass off doing work in my business to buy one and this kid im not saying he doesnt deserve it but it is a little sketchy for him to get a brand new one for basically no work

  • @medusa1931 Dude, what happened to your fucking Manners?...this dude's parents might be spoiling him with a mac pro but your parents never thought you manners??? shut the fuck up!!! its their money and they can spend it on whatever they like or wipe their ass with it if they want!!!

  • more like a hardware overview... nice vid though :)

  • Take it easy spaz...shit. And why do you have that? Just to watch YouTube?...damn kids nowadays...and I am one lol.

  • wtf we know there is 2 dvd drives and it has a popping up cover why being so slow

  • Some Tips:

    1) Chill out, the next time you make a youtube video. Don't be so nervous.

    2) A Review is not a tour of the product, its a description or/and your own experiences with it, if you like it or not, what you like and what you don't like.

    3) Make a more pro video, don't stand in the living room showing off your MacPro. Thats kinda lame. Do it on your desk or some other related place. This looks like your showing it off to your Aunt.

    4) 2TB HDs is not a new technology.

  • 1) You sound like a girl.

    2) You have boobies.

    3) I doubt you have use for such a workstation.

    4) This is hardly a review, it's just a damn tour. Where is the review?

    5) Your nervous as shit.

  • And your a fucking douche bag. So he still wins.

  • geez is that ur mac pro or is it your daddys mac pro that your just showin off like it is yours

  • hahahhahahaha ur nervous as fuck

  • very well put together and very informative good job. 5/5

  • You messed up quite a bit right from the get-go but this review was well made. We are all only human, but for a human, you did a damn good job. Keep it up! :)

  • Why are some posting negative comments? This video was well put together and was informative. Keep up the good work!!! I'm thinking about getting one myself.

  • Good review, but you don't have to count everything out. We don't need to hear "One, two, three, four" whenever there are more than one of something.

  • Comment removed

  • That's a $3300+ Mac Pro That's a large amount of money to save in only 1 1/2 years.

  • i got $2500 to get an iMac in 5 months

  • HEY GUYS!

  • what?

  • lol he just said that funny at the start of the video. watch his eyebrows :D

  • lol oh i get it

    :p

    funny

  • Hi, great review... wanted to correct you on some things however, when you talk about RAID you say it increases performance but makes the drives less reliable. That's not true, depending on what RAID config you go with.

Also when talking about the DDR3, the performance runs best when you have 3 RAM modules because of the Core i7 processor NOT the DDR3 RAM itself.

Core i7 has 3 channels to speak to RAM and for maximum performance you use 3 DIMMs per processor.

Good purchase, have fun with it!

  • Good clear review, good camera work, shame about the person with no brain making a stupid comment. Envy i think, or just really thick!

  • god you spoiled fuck. hope your mommy and daddy had fun paying for your apple obsession with thousands of dollars..work for something coke whore.

  • I would like to correct you on why there are only 3 empty PCI Express slots and 4 empty covers.

Some graphics cards take up the area of two cards, but only connect to one actual PCI Express slot. As you can see in your Mac Pro, you have your graphics card, then a large gap, and then the rest of your PCI Express slots, which are spaced out from each other evenly.

  • Isnt that what I said?

I thought I said that in the video. hmm

  • Actually, you said that it was for extra space for hard drives that were twice the size of normal hard drives. You probably meant graphics card. I dunno. It's your brain, not mine. :D

  • Oh yeah... I said Hard drive not GPU... Wow.... Sorry.

  • Hows sims 3 doing on that? Lol

  • is the mac pro dvd drives sata?

  • Yes it is Serial ATA.

  • whats the point of having a computer like this? your just surfing the web and editing stuff???

  • hi could you make a tutorial on how to make the mac see the hardrives as one cus im gonna get the mac pro and i was going to make 3 of the hardrive bays one hardrive and the last one as a back up thanks

  • Yes I can do that. Could you give me about a week or so to do that because I need to get new hardrive.

  • ok no problem thanks so much

  • ur making it sound like u have to put it together yourself...

i dont have on so im not saying thats a bad thing, as i dont no if u have to or not...

could u tell me if u do tho :L

  • When You buy a Mac Pro it comes assembled. What I was trying to say was that it is extremely easy to take it apart.

  • oh right, cheers "Luke from FLC Productions"

    the way

  • Dayyum thats espensive

  • Thanks.

  • What do you use your Mac Pro for? isn't it meant to be a video-editing workstation?

  • Haha. I remember the stream.

  • Very nice - i should do this video too lol great dual camera setup :)

  • great review, especially for a kid like me. very detailed, best ive seen of the machine

  • dose your mac get a lot of dust on the inside

  • Yes dust gets in there easily, It is really easy to clean the Mac Pro because it is so sleek and makes things easier to get to.

  • ya i own the 2008 mac poor but the 2009 looks much easyer to clean it i have to like clean my out every 2weeks almost

  • Great review

  • EVGA Geforce 285 GTX Mac Edition is coming less then a month are you planning to upgrade to that GPU, I was getting the ATi 4870 but test shows that the 285 GTX is much faster card, So I'll be getting the 285 GTX but I sure hope that EVGA include adapters DVi to mini display-port so that I can use Apple's LED 30-inch when it's available

  • I was reading up about that card. Doesn't it have like a 1 GB of VRAM?

  • Yes the 285 GTX has 1GB and the 4870 has 512MB at OWC you can pre-order the 285 GTX now it cost $450

  • Nice review. Try and work on the editing, it's a little choppy.

  • Yeah I know. I lost a couple frames so thats one of the reasons it got messed up.

  • you must have lotsa money

  • Well I spent the money.... I did not lose it.

  • eww... why yuo colored yur hair?? but nice review.....

  • I dint color my hair.... It must have been the light. Sorry...
