@ihsoy995 Thanks a lot for your kind comment. This encourages me to post the other movements from this beautiful suite, hopefully soon! I look forward to watching your recordings too.
@nivalen Thank you for your kind response. I'm very sorry I can't have both of a piano and a harpsichord in my studio apartment. I hope I'll learn to play the lute because I like not only its sound but also its portability. Fortunately, we can take some lessons of period instruments for beginners here in Tokyo, so I'll try them in the near future.
@yuta1010blog I really encourage you to learn the lute, which is a beautiful and very rewarding instrument. I've always loved lute music as well and started playing Renaissance lute some years ago. Currently it's a key part of my life, even if I'm not a professional player: I just can't stop playing! I'm sure you'll find very good lute teachers in Japan, where there are excellent players such as Toyohiko Satoh. Good luck!
@yuta1010blog Thank you. I've played the guitar for many years, which helps a lot even if both techniques are quite different. Furthermore, I've been using a baroque lute method and recently I've taken my first lesson with a professional lutenist. Finally, I work really hard on each piece to reach an acceptable performance before recording it.
You're lucky you play the piano as you can play a lot of harpsichord repertoire form Byrd to Bach! Why don't you try and arrange some Dowland on it? :-)
Cette Courante est trés belle et je m'inspirerai de ta vidéo si je la fais à la guitare . Elle sonne trés bien sur le luth en tout cas . *****J.C.

I really feel like to try this Courante, but I can't play so fast and elegant as your performance.
Thank you for your posting, and I'm looking forward to listen your Bouree -- Gigue.

Thank you for posting this video.
You say in your profile that you are an amateur, self-taught lutenist, but how have you been learning to play the lute?
I'm very interested in early music, especially in Dowland's works, but it's a pity that I can only play the piano.

Excellent, Nicolas. You really demonstrate great progression in baroque dance interpretation. Very good dance feel and tempo! Keep them coming!
