This is really lovely :). I fell upon it whilst looking for Sergio Mendes and was attracted by the beautiful artwork. The sound is really really lovely and I'd really like to get hold of a copy but can't find it anywhere. Just wondering whether the LP can still be bought? Also wondering who designed the artwork on the front cover?

@EmmiEden1979 I wish to express my gratitude really for loving music of our band. This band acted only by four years when we were university students, and recorded the result of the activity to LP. Each member takes delight in music by the hobby and it does now. because LP of Junk Fellows was made 40 years ago, it has not sold it any longer in the market.( I am sorry....)

I hosted a public radio show in the 1980's that featured a lot of bossa nova. The show was on Friday nights. One night an angry guy called the station and complained that the music was too mellow and asked me to play New Wave music. I spoke on the air, explaining that "bossa nova" actually means "new wave", and thanked the caller for asking me to play more of it. Ha! By the way, in my LP collection I have 48 versions of The Girl From Ipanema.

The bossanova has not only one pattern but also various faces.

Film music is used and it in the Rock scene ･･･ at one stage

The bossanova is a global reason.

Konichiwa, You band has very nice arrangements. It is clear that you understand and feel the great vibrations of the bossa nova! I am curious to know if you like the CD "Timeless". It is Sergio Mendes with new musical friends. It re-mixes classic Brasil 66 songs with modern hip-hop, rap & Brasilian pop. There will be a special CD in the future with The Girl From Ipanema. Maybe by then I will have 20 more arrangements of this good bossanova song!!

I have a 45 of this Sergio Mendes song. I still play it in my old turntable. I am more into hard & space rock, but always had a taste and ear for anything that touched my heart...

I think the bass line at 1:40 is nothing but a piece of genius, as well as the waltz like pace that immediately follows!

New music was produced even in Japan in the 1960s when the famous musician in the world played an active part. The Japanese of the baby boomers, we, also studied very much. is not believed that the group which sings bossa nova like this to superior was in Japan 40 years ago. Compared with original, a chorus is wonderful. An arrangement is also great. Rhythmic sense is also very good in addition to a chorus. It is a wonderful group.
