look at 1.07....the whole group stopped because of the kattai and urumi...that is why everyone was surprised when siva sakthi got the first prize...that stopping in the middle was considered a mistake....singaiyidi played without a single mistake...

Whatever, the best urumi melam comes from source: Beautiful, rich, green, colorful...TAMIL NADU.

Nobody can beat the urumi troupes there, the way they beat the thavil, the countless urumis, the stamina they have....unbelievable. You guys are good, but I've heard the best in Tamil Nadu, the originator.

Sinagiyidi did a awesome job that day.....but siva sakthi doesn't deserve the trophy.......there was a part where they did a mistake and the pambai player had to start the beat back again.......singaiyidi deserve it la...so all the siva sakthi fans....think twice b4 u guys post something bad la....

Well guys firstly i feel that every grp has their own strengths and weaknesses.I feel that no one has the rights to say who is the best as there are many grps in singapore and they didn take part.All the three grps did well.Urumee melam is meant for god and not competition.Urumee melam is meant to give music to gods and not to be used for competition or to criticise someone.All the best to all the grps in singapore and god bless.

I am one of the who was from the Organising Committee of the Urumi Melam Competition.....from what i heard personally from the judges....the judges made the decision of putting singaiyidi 1st and siva sakthi 2nd....but due to the voting system that was done by the audience....i mean it was a stupid mistake of us to let the audience vote cause as u said it....public don't know much abt urumi melam right....so they shouldn't have voted right....so singaiyidi is still the best la boy....

Hi all. This is a unnecessary conflict between singaiyidi and sivasakthi fans. What I have to say is," whatever has to happen, will happen".To what I feel and observed on the day, the majority expected Singaiyidi to win but it happened otherwise.

Firstly I am a fan of Singaiyidi. It was a great disappoinment for me too. Anyway I personally felt that they should be given the first prize and the second prize should belong to the young boys(vepamma) because they did so well for a new group. Sivasakthi did well but unfortunately there were some mistakes in the performance.

Anyway what is done cant be undone. For the brother who gave commence on Malaysia competition, I have to say that Singaiyidi did something unique and original.

They did not follow others and that is their style.If it can be accepted by the people I thing that is great! Hats off to Singaiyidi.!Anyway I think this does not seem like a competiotion cos 7 groups backed out for dunno what reason.
