Baty performed with JW-Jones at Mont Tremblant Blues Festival, Ottawa Bluesfest, and Piazza Blues in Bellinzona, Switzerland in July 2009. The high-energy shows received praise from fans and industry professionals who enjoyed the package.I know he had some health problems for awhile as well

From what I heard, Charlie got tired of road life. He has gypsy jazz combo and occasionally gigs as a special guest. I heard that he did a sort of reunion gig with Rick Estrin & the Nightcats last Oct, in Poland! I sure wish I could have made it to that gig!!! I'd travel to see Little Charlie & Kid Andersen together, but Poland's just a little TOO far!!!
