  • Al Snow is fucking amazing.

  • Snow is a brilliant man when it comes to the wrestling business and, as condescending as his tone may have been, he is dead on the money here. If you need to see exactly what Al Snow is talking about watch the Miz/Cena "I quit" match from Over the Limit 2011 (aka the "passion of the Cena" match).

  • @tarison13 Finally someone commenting on Al Snow, who is using their brain. People don't like what Al Snow's comment, because it exposes the internet fans for being the "marks" that the Pro Wrestling companies have always known them to be. I;m glad that Al Snow shoots straight with the REAL fans, who know that it's a business, geared to get the fan's money. A show with a pre-determined outcome. An illusion, just like magic.

  • It really gets me when these asshole wrestlers get on here and blame the fans. Seriously, If I complain about an uncooked burger from some restaurant, I don't expect the cook to come out and tell me how he is suppose to cook the burger that tastes like shit. I just expect a burger that's cooked and to have the right to an opinion on the food.

  • @CookieMangler But if you just accept crappy food than it IS your fault and not the good cooks who are trying to feed you better

  • @LTopomcFly They should fix the product in stead of telling us how they'd fix it and how the problem is that the fans don't notice the product isn't as good as it could be. That's what I'm saying to all the wrestlers that blame the fans. Different people have different tastes but at least do what you do well.

  • HEAD!

  • I'm not a professional wrestler, I haven't stepped foot in a ring. I'm just a guy with an opinion. Regarding Al's opinion towards step two; I feel that fans would still identify with the "face." After all people do love an underdog.

  • I'm not a professional wrestler, I haven't stepped foot in a wrestling ring. O

  • Wrestling has changed in one fundamental way. Prior to the late 90s pro wrestling was billed as a sport. When Vince decided to dump kayfabe, that was the end. Wrestling died, and "sports entertainment" was born. Everything Al said makes sense if you're trying to sell wrestling as a sport, but neither WWE nor TNA has done that for 15 years. Both are openly promoting it as purely entertainment and angles, with actual wrestling becoming just a prop. Hence the cooke-cutter, 7-step matches

  • @lsudolemite Wrestling is the same, it's the WWE that has changed, and obviously it hasn't worked since it has lost ground since the 90's.

You're absolutely right about the actual wrestling-matches just becoming a prop, and that's what they need to change. I feel that having CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes as champs is giving us a lot more focus on the actual wrestling. Cenas is the typical 7-step guy, and with him out of the title picture things are good.

  • @Lidodido To be honest I haven't watched the WWE product for over a year. And every time I give it a chance I end up regretting it. After reading your comment I'll have to give it another shot. Last time I saw Punk was his worked shoot on Vince and Cena on Raw, and it was fantastic. For a moment it was that old feeling of being a fan again.

And then they made Snooki the guest Raw GM.

  • the characters suck?

  • This is John Cena 101...lol

  • Snow's only condescending because he's had to explain it 90 times.

  • I'm guessing this is from 2010

  • This was pretty good, but...My favorite wrestling matches are heel vs heel...and there is plenty of heat to go with that format...

  • sounds like an hbk match

  • @Wifey2525 i was thinkin triple h vs hbk

  • This is wat happns when u work with Paul E for many years

  • Well Snow Has Been Known As A good trainer so No Surprise he was acutally very thourough

  • LOL, I love how Al Snow makes them look like a jackasses.

  • Comment removed

  • This is freaking gold!

  • he sounds like a dick but he is doing it on purpose to show that these guys and alot of internet "nerds" dont know much either

  • Snow is a professor of Wrestling.

  • this is fucking gold, anyone wanting to get into the business should write a transcript of this segment

  • Great explanation Al, those ''hosts'' are a couple of clueless jabronis.

  • I THOUGHT WOW,DIDNT KNOW DOLL FACE HAD A BRAIN....THEN I REMEMBERED WHERE HE WORKS!!! XD

  • I love what Al Snow is talking about, I really like his wrestling mind, the hosts however....Are the WORST hosts I have ever heard on any show ever, they completely ruin the interview. This guy keeps breathing into the mic and it sounds like he is eating it, and neither of them know anything about wrestling.

  • LOL! The hosts are pure drones.

  • @LOKITUPISBACK Some are born to teach, some to perform.

Al's a great teacher & has a great mind for the biz. He can explain & break down the ins & outs of almost every aspect of the biz (like he does here) in a more thorough & understandable way than anyone I've ever heard. Now, if we look at other sports, how many of the top coaches were also top performers? Short answer: Not many.

As far as the TNA thing, when you need that paycheck you shut your mouth & put up with the BS. I know I have to!

  • good interview

  • Punk definetly comes to mind during a few of these steps

  • Al Snow is completely right here. But he's a total hypocrite.Someone show me one single solitary time in Snow's career where he implemented these Steps to further his career. He's always been a submissive bitch to the promoter. He works 4 TN FUCKING A.Why don't you speak your old ass up?Why don't you try to convince Dixie, and Russo, and everyone else that THIS is how the business works? No,instead,he'd rather sit on his hands and watch wrestling die, bitching under his breath to whoever will listen

  • @LOKITUPISBACK Al actually states that he seems hypocritical for never implementing these in his matches but since he is older regrets not doing so. So what does he do? He is trying to teach the younger guys from his mistakes.

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf Yet he works for TNA, and I'm totally unconvinced that he's truly trying to teach these young guys these tactics.

  • @LOKITUPISBACK I don't see your argument for working for TNA. He is an agent for TNA which means hes in charge of helping these guys with their matches. Hell he was head trainer at OVW before going to tna. He has a lot of knowledge, just because he was successful doesn't mean his knowledge holds any merit. Ahmed Johnson had some success but I'm sure you wouldn't take advice from him.

  • Al's a genius.

  • First view!!
