From what I've heard, the original composer for all these XP themes for Windows is Bill Brown. Mr. Brown also composed the theme called "Life is a game of inches" from the movie "Any Given Sunday" featuring Al Pacino's dialogue. Epic!

I'm an Ubuntu/Windows 7 guy, but I will say one thing I really liked about XP is the music it came with during installation and the tour. It sounds modern and friendly, and I don't get why Windows or other OSes don't do this anymore.

As a kid of 8 years in 2002 when we still had dial up and Games took a year to load, I used to go through the tour in the long summer break of 2003 and go to sleep listening to it and going through the basics of using the taskbar, happy memories.

Windows 7 is OK. Vista was horrible. Xp was, and stilll is, the best Microsoft OS. One reason I love Mac so much is that when they come out with something, it doesn't completely suck. I love snow leopard and soon-to-be lion. Awesome music though. Downloaded it on my iPod touch.

@SuhailLegend wrong, this computer has been every operating system under the sun.. XP, 98, vista, 7, xp media center edition, 9.04, mint 10.04, backtrack3, OSX 10.6 and 10.5

7 is easily the best of all these Operating systems.

It's attractive. compatible. fast. and supports DX11 extremely user friendly and what the world is using right now.

@Ticomfreak XP gets retired in April 2014. Windows 8 is suppose to come out some time in 2012. It would be great if there was a "Windows 8: XP edition" in there. Same 'feel' as XP, but with the 'upgraded protection' that's been achieved in 8...if there is much of an upgrade.

We like XP, Microsoft. Please keep it alive.

@warriorjames Technically, XP will be alive for an infinite amount of time, but it just won't be supported by Microsoft anymore, and that includes no more updates. So you could still use and keep using XP as long as you want, but you'll be behind the times. You can only update an OS so much...
