They are perfectly fine is due to the government policy during that time and that's how they have wasted their money on cruelty and torching innocent people and even these symptoms we do have sometimes being lonely and sad and wanting someone to talk too is not like they are completely insane instead the doctors are the ones who are insane
did they ever test her ENDOCRINE FUNCTIONS???? I too suffered extreme outburst and rage and could not even be around kids due to them. I was found to have an adrenal tumor and excessive male hormones and adrenaline. Hormone therapy made me do a 180 and I can LIVE again:) NEVER would I allow brain surgery!
My doc took me OFF nortryptiline due to it's zombie like effects... told me.. YOUR NOT DEPRESSED.. YOU HAVE AN ENDOCRINE DISFUNCTION... he was right... getting it treated and improving.
Poor Jean - she takes the initiative to try to get help for depression and she ends up in this hellhole. I take medication for depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and watching this makes me so thankful I was born at a time that spared me from having to live through this.
All Maggie needed was some help with the kids, I mean come on being a 1960s housewife with 5 kids, it wasn't easy. A lot of housewives suffered depression and other problems during those times.
So then, what is the answer for someone who has mental health problems? It's natural to be angry at certain treatments, but I wonder if what some of the former patients are truly angry at is their illness.
Definitely not what they were doing back then! There is no 'cure', there is treatment, but what they did back then wasn't helping at all, it was just disgusting and all they did was take advantage of vulnerable individuals.
Thank you for this angeleyes my mother was one of these victims, locked away simply because her mother died when my mum was only 5 years old, not one of her other family wanted to take care of her, she saw so many bad things in these places she saw young women given drugs just to keep them quiet. One day a doctor asked my mum to do a wooden puzzle, placing square, round, oblong shapes into the correct places in the puzzle. My mum told him YOUR SO CLEVER YOU DO IT!. I still smile today. R.I.P mum
