I hate that when VCR's chew up tapes. I have a Memorex I got back in 2001 that still works today. Great video man. Very interesting to see your old living quarters.
Yep! It actually works best with an old analog video camera, you get some really wild patterning. They actually used that effect for the original title sequences for Doctor Who back in the 60's and early 70's.
It's basically "video feedback," sort of like the video equivalent of when you hold a microphone too close to the speaker and get a blast of feedback.
As for the ants, looks like I was right about the nest in the deck, though the MAIN nest was apparently in a tree stump outside...
Actually, I had FOUR Amigas! :) A 2000HD, 2 500's and a CD32. I no longer have the CD32, but still have the other 3. I actually first learned how to use tracker/sequencer programs for music on my good 'ol Amiga.
The screamer idea gave me a giggle...but I wouldn't want my viewers to drop dead of heart attacks! =O
Yes, we're hoping this will be the LAST move for a while! But fortunately we had movers this time, so it wasn't anywhere near as bad as last time. Still a pain, though. And the new place is awesome. :)

Another thing that can make that "infinite vision" look, is if you point your Eyetoy at the computer screen during a Quick Capture.
That was pretty cool seeing the basement! I would've suspected that as the Ants' hideout.

Mid-video comment:
I love how this is on the most discussed list for today in Canada with 5 comments.
What a booming culture you have there, Sean.

Dude, you had an Amiga? I always wanted one of those... my first "art computer" was a Macintosh 610 CD.
And you should hide a screamer in one of these long videos. Keep people on their toes.
