  • HUMAN RIGHTS must apply to ALL HUMANS! (period)

Human right violations can always be tracked to abuse of power and greed for money.

    Gandhi said,

"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave."

  • Protests from western puppets and they didn't accomplish shit.

Tibet has always been a part of China and nothing will change that.

  • Didn't accomplish shit?

Yeah, that's why there's like 200 people hired to post propaganda on YouTube alone, lol.

  • I have learned much from the people of China and the people of Tibet. However, there are gross human rights violations going on, by the Chinese Government in Tibet, and I feel the need to continue speaking out , until all people can live in Peace & Harmony. Torture by any government is wrong. Killing dissidents will never solve the problems, that dialog & cooperation can bring. May China negotiate with respect & honor with the Dalai Lama, and look for the best solutions, for all concerned.

  • If human rights as a value system created to transcend national boundaries to unite the human kinds, why creating another nation state, Tibet Republic or whatever you call it? Modern nation states have always been born out of empire historically. Can we say to give Hawaii back to Hawaiians? Who can claim to be the contemporary Hawaiians? By culture? By race? Why don't we stop abusing the issue of Tibet?

  • Tibetan outside China are the dog for white man

  • kill all pro tibetans

  • free Tibet from the chinese dogs and the regime!!

    free tibet...

  • yea right, go look at what western government be doing dumbass, stupid white wash

  • Historically Tibbet had been an inseparable part of China and it still is, therefore, it is irrational to make the statement that "China is stealing Tibet". As human kind, we love our brothers and sisters in Tibet so there is no reason to force them into life under a highly likely unstable government desired to be established by a few Tibetan who have better communication skills with our western world. If we love the Tibetans, we must hear from them, not just from those who have a louder voice.

  • free tibet..

china is in occupation of tibe.t.nothing else..

  • stop telling lies

i hope the people work for the media could go to Tibet the see the real Tibet

Tibet will always be a part of China

  • fuck u china thief stole the land of tibet

  • Comment removed

  • free tibet... china has no right to that land..

    free free free tibet...

china is filled with smelling dogs..

  • long live tibet as forever part of China.

  • long live tibetan Chinese and other ethnic Chinese.

  • We in the West are able to see videos from both sides, China & Tibet, in China you are only able to see the Chinese version. Is this Democracy? Independent News reporters are not allowed into Tibet? Is this Democracy? People are not allowed to even carry a picture of the Dalai Lama. Even in the US, which has a long way to go to achieve Democracy, we can talk about who we like, find our Spiritual guidance where we like. CHINA IS PRACTICING GENOCIDE...IT MUST STOP NOW!

    Dr. Suzanne Lerner

  • Yeah, right. What happened to American native Indians? I am sure that their human rights had been well respected.

  • Educated Chinese is able to access into non-Chinese websites, which is hardly filtered by China Interenet censorship.

Also, many Chinese have sattellie TV receivers, which help them to watch TV channels not controlled by China government. For example, they may watch Chinese TV channels in Taiwan and Hongkong.

So, Chinese can still access information form multiple resources. So, how about you? Do you know Chinese and can you access/understand Chinese media?

  • myheartsingz,

wars of then and now, countless replacement and support of dictatorships, rights violations, military bases around the world, the list goes on and on.....is that Democracy? well, since Americans vote for these types of leaders, i can say it's only American Democracy. Where you take other people's freedoms away, to make you feel you have more freedom.

By culture? By race? Why don't we stop abusing the issue of Tibet and work harder on human rights abuses?

  • "Why don't we stop abusing the issue of Tibet and work harder on human rights abuses? "

Because the CCP has proven that as long as it exists, there will be zero human rights in Tibet.

  • The feudal serfdom under a theocracy constituted the ruling power of old Tibet. The Tibetan people suffered exploitation and had a generally miserable existence.

In accordance with the wishes of the Tibetan people, the central government quickly quelled this rebellion, and began instituting the democratic reforms and abolishing the feudal serfdom. A million of Tibetan serfs were liberated, and would henceforth no longer be sold, transferred, or forced to labor as chattel.

  • Sadly this is exactly the lies perpetrated by the Chinese Government. It is simply not the whole truth.

And even if was the truth, then why are 2,500-3,000 Tibetans fleeing into exile every year? Why have hundreds of Tibetan Monasteries been destroyed? Why are monks forced to denouce their spiritual leader, HH the Dalai Lama, and are not allowed to perform their prayers?

There are gros human rights abouses happening in China, and Tibetans are bearing the brunt.

  • One declaring he is a tibetan on earth hasn't been to TIBET ever!......think of N.Ireland,Haiwaii,kosovo....SO GO ON WITH YOUR doube Standard.. You can go to tibet to ask the people What Dala is to them and they will answer you 'a liar'

    画面中的所谓西藏人压根就没去过西藏!...想想北爱,夏威夷,科索沃.....然后继续你们的双重标准吧

  • To the Chinese people: you can not have a real look at China and the Tibet issue if you continue to see yourselves as victims of the rest of the world. It's elementary psychology. I am always surprised that you have a huge country, a huge history, so many things to admire and yet you always talk on the defensive as if you were a poor little mouse. As long as you act like a victim you will not change and neither will your country. Stop being victims, stand proudly accept the good AND the bad.

  • SpeakerCn-

You need to study your history from unbiased sources. Tibet and China have had a complex historical relationship, and calling Tibet a part of China shows ignorance.

No one is a winner--not the Chinese, and certainly not the Tibetans. The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner the situation can be truly addressed. Unfortunately, the PRC will not allow their citizens to see the unvarnished truth.

  • Indeed, calling New Mexico a part of the United State byspeaks ignorance. The way the US wiped out American Indians and annexed New Mexico created one winner, the American White Class.

And prisoners in Guantanamo bay or in Iraq never suffer physical abuse. Unfortunately, the CNN/Fox News will not allow their audience to see the unvanished truth.

  • "I deplore the violent crackdown by Chinese authorities and the continuing oppression in Tibet of those merely wishing to practice their faith and preserve their culture and heritage. I have listened carefully to the Dalai Lama and am convinced he is a man of peace who reflects the hopes and aspirations of Tibetans. I urge the government of the PRC to address the root causes of unrest in Tibet by opening a genuine dialogue with HH the Dalai Lama, aimed at granting greater autonomy."

  • Here's a story: Russia's army enters China, takes away several of your rights and beats up the few "separatists" who tout old Chinese leaders. Some Chinese leaders sign "thank Russia for liberating China", others go into exile. You scream "we are not free"! I say "shut up, you ARE free my friend, you just fail to see it". Who's right? If Russia takes over Georgia saying it was part of USSR and "we liberated you from the imperialistic influences of the West", will you agree Georgians are free?

  • the most poignant part of the video is a tibetan activist proclaiming that all people have human rights....indeed in any dream of "One World" may it include and activate the unity of all humans living into their potential in a safe and democratic society.

  • thank you for the video

  • sad losers keep barking

  • Dear Speakercn. What you fail to realize is China is the loser; despite you cherishing the illusion of being winners. China's myopic actions in Tibet cost you and all Chinese more than any benefit China will ever get from keeping Tibet prisoner of China. One day Chinese leaders will wake up to shooting themselves in the foot. You may help your leaders wake up, or you may continue to be a naive, losing follower.

  • Dear jgauthier96, what your fail to realize is Tibet separatists and mad people like you are real losers.

Like it or not, Tibet will remain part of China forever as it was hundreds years ago.

BTW, the decisions on Tibet had nothing to do with the Chinese leaders. They were decided by the 1.3 billion Chinese people, including the Tibetans living in China of course.

Tibet is free, freed from lying western media and losers with cold war brain like you. Deal with it;)

  • Interesting. But if S. Ossetians are willing to join Russia, can they do it or not? Learning from Bush, I don't think US is ok with this. Why?
