The cause was never determined, simply an accident. We are all thankful no one was hurt and the hotel is being rebuilt!

The brand new Holiday Inn Express Pekin will be open by November 2010 featuring the latest in guest and safety technology.

I live in pekin and I'm 11 years old and smart, I don't know what they are gona do with the building but I'm getting someone to go Jack the fire alarms out of there because Iknow alot about them. A laddie took pics od this place burning and she works at progressive near by. I realy want someone to jack the alarms out of there it would be cool!

Just finished a $10 mil renovation last week and if you notice, the last of the exterior brick was being finished on the front, left, first floor. You can see the scaffolding on the video Everything was new. No one was hurt. (great job to owners and Management) At the time this hotel was built (10 years ago) there was no requirement for sprinklers in the attic space. They believe wiring in the attic was the cause although it is not official. They are going to rebuild
