The desciples were defeated and utterly discouraged after the crucifixion. They hid in fear, then the next thing you know (40 days later) they are boldly proclaiming the resurrection. The rise of Christianity is entirely based on this historical truth. There would be no Christianity without the resurrection

Back then scribes were used to put messages into written form. All Jesus did and taught would have been for not if He remained dead. The disciples would have returned to their previous lives. End of story. But the story did not end there, but instead the disciples joyfully proclaimed the risen Lord.

The desciples were defeated and utterly discouraged after the crucifixion. They hid in fear, then the next thing you know (40 days later) they are boldly proclaiming the resurrection. The rise of Christianity is entirely based on this historical truth. There would be no Christianity without the resurrection

The foundation of Christianity is based primarily on their testimony. Back then scribes were used to put messages into written form. All Jesus did and taught would have been for not if He remained dead. The disciples would have returned to their previous lives. End of story. But the story did not end there, but instead the disciples joyfully proclaimed the risen Lord.

They went from utterly defeated and devastated people hiding in fear to boldly proclaiming the resurrected Messiah 40 days later. All eyewitnesses took their claim to their deaths (many were beaten, stoned, imprisoned, and executed). None recanted.

This took place on the Day of Pentacost (Acts 2). There wouldn't have been any church around to make anything up (as you falsely claim) if Jesus remained dead. The disciples wouldn't have risked their lives to preach a dead Jesus. There would have been no point.

Revelation 22:18-19 warns about adding or taking away from God's word. It's something God expected to happen, yet Jesus said "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away" (Luke 21:33). We can know God's truth today no matter who tries to mess with it. Atheism is a lie.

Whoever wrote sura 5 in the qu'ran seems to have thought that Christians believe that the Trinity included Mary. Qu'ran sura 5:73-75 shows this epic failure to understand the Christian doctrine that the Trinity is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Instead the qu'ran, after the author goes on a rant about how he thinks there is one god not three, tries to explain that Jesus and Mary ate food and therefore the author seemed to think that this disproved the Trinity. At sura 19 verse 33, the quran (Yusuf Ali translation) quotes the made up, Muslim version of Jesus as saying:
"So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"! (quran 19:33)
But Muslims say things like "he did not die at all". And this "raised up to life (again)" sounds suspiciously like the resurrection.
