I would like it to but there are certain qualifications for Broadway. Woith my last thing I SAID Keep It Gay. True Elphaba's true character was better in the book. But more people appealed to her braodway character. One thing I hated in the play is what they did with Boq. If u read the real Wizard Of Oz he is a Munchkin and always stayed a Munchkin not turn into the Tin man crap they tried to pull off.

tenure: And in the book, Fiyero was not the Scarecrow either. Elphie's insane mind just made think that the Scarecrow was Fiyero. And I am confused at the "keep it gay" thing? I know Elphie is most likely bisexual--what with her affair with married Fiyero and the underlying tension between her and Glinda--but that doesn't even factor much into the play, even if it was subtle in the book.
