First of all, congratulations on your baby! (sorry,this is kinda late.LOL) It's necessary to do it for a baby to start breathing right and get rid of all the fluid in her nose and lung,but I think this nurse sticks the tube in too deep for a baby,too. About ohsocute41610's comment,it's actually turning normal pink from purple. Most of the babies got through out of narrow place,that's why it's purple. Very normal:-) Well,is your baby in a good health now,japanfj?

i think they are clearing out its throat with a vacuum pipe because of a build up of fluid. the baby was crying more clearly at the end of the video because the liquid in its throat is gone. not fun but it would have probably died if this was not done.

baby can breathe. They cry like that to expand their lungs

to breathe. The crying is enabling baby to breathe fully,

They have to do that so the new baby can breathe. There

is mucous and liquids from being in the womb that have

to be removed upon birth. The new baby cries to expand

the lungs to get fresh new air. A good cleaning in a warm

bath and then to the Mother. Congratulations!!

They have to do this to let all stuff out from baby's mouth, throat and nose. It is very tiny tube insert into baby's mouth and nose and suck them out, so baby CAN breathe. Sucking stuff out with using tube is a lot better than suffering from not breathe at all. They have to do that for baby.
