I needed my meds for 7 years to get me through while I learned how to react to my moods n triggers... now I'm weaned off them and have more energy. I'm studying so I can help others through mental health difficulties. I love to paint and create too... that saw me through. I didn't believe there was a future, but now I'm living it.
nicely done....on reading comments, i noticed you said you dont take meds....i wish....i did try, but i attempted suicide off my meds....plus they wont let me drive if i dont keep my treatment up.....not sure if thats just a UK thing!.....Lithium it would seem, IS my life!!
The picture with the girl and three faces is actually a friend of mine, her husban Jason Beam the photographer. I've done screaming crying portraits with him.
I have taken Depacote, Carb.......you know what I mean, zoloft, ridlin, paxil, tegretol, clonazepam, and a couple of other antidepressants. Great vid BTW. I was diagnosed in Feb. Bipolar type 1. It really explains a lot, LOL.
Thanks very much. Feelin it coming on again, hope it's not as bumpy a ride as some have been... Trying to stay on the low key, doing a lot of hiding out these days, avoiding the triggers when possible. The greatest thing i've discovered, is to be aware of what is going on... take note of those little things, even when you're emersed, that's been my safety, and it keeps me (knock on wood) from falling off the edge, where awareness is impossible...
beautiful clip, moving art. It's a dark night tonight. felt affirming. I think bipolar with exposure anxiety is a tough ride. Been wildly prolific this last week though, completely emmersed in an art frenzy. Ears still intact ;-)
I also found you thru bminternet43, I can't tell you how much yours and others youtube clips help me as a supporter, to a cherished man who suffers from bp disorder. Sometimes words can't cut what images and music slice thru.
I have been where you have been, but I didn't chase a rabbit down a hole to get there! I know exactly your pain..I lived it and do everyday. I think your video's portray exactly the way it is inside your mind and you do it so simply...a picture is worth a thousand words. Great work! And I do say..sticks and stones do break bones, and words do hurt you. It hurts me too.
This is a very touching video and very creative too. I love this song by the way. I stopped lithium too, it was killing me just as surely as the depression was.
Have you ever tried yoga or meditation? I was fortunate to recover from manic depression by practicing meditation during my 20s. It stopped the mania permanently for me.
I want to thank Brian for sending this to me and thank you for being so creative MR. My demon lives on and never a moments rest...for me or those that have been trying like hell to love me... I make it a full time job for all that do and damn I hate doing it... guilt and rage are my closest companions and my hope is just a dream......
Bminternet43, thanks so much for the referral here :) And thanx again to all for liking the vid. Ermengarde11, read your post, thx... not sure what organisation you are referring to tho :) Have an awesome season people, it's a good day! Peace!
I'm sorry, Manic Rabbit, I got you confused with another poster, but please accept my encouragement to use your work in the way I suggested. It's too high quality to go ignored!
I've sent you the link for the bipolar organization at teaparty's suggestion. Your work is brilliant, I feel you're destined to make a difference in this area of health, perhaps through a public service campaign. I'm a writer and can compose a letter of introduction for you, or you might have luck on your own contacting them even without an agent, as most of these type of orgs. are not so high and mighty they'd require an agent.
Your work belongs out there to raise awareness and give comfort!
Very nice vid and terribly describing for the damed low. I have been free of it for some months now after I got some medicin that prevents me from going trough the roof. Wich is the resons for exhaustion and depression. It is free of side effects and pretty innocent. Called lamictal. I also take large doses of the essential vitamins and minerals plus omega 3 (fishliver oil)Hope that is the final remedy.
Thankyou prakkari and Im sorry you feel so low right now... just remember, it does come back. Oh my it does, and it's something that seem so hard to fathom, but remember, it always comes back...
I see why this is your No.1 video. You are very gifted, thanks for sending. I feel so blessed to have only seratonin imbalance and not bipolar. I've seen what it does to people however it's being used as a catch-all diagnosis by many doctors, misdiagnosing many people to push certain drugs. So I pray for everyone to be properly diagnosed.
Yes he does and he should submit some of this stuff to media outlets or public relations agencies, better yet, to the Bipolar association if one exists. Excellent work as usual. God bless you bminternet43!
One exists in California. Ermengarde11 --look online for it -- they have a big one and I think it is for anyone--everywhere. It was started by parents of young "sufferers"--
Much of that video was almost..familiar. If that makes sense. I feel that way alot. Thanks for sending it to me. I take Lithium too it helped give some of my sanity back. ^_^
I took Lithium for a short time. I think I have been on every psych medication you can think of. Thank you for this completly wonderful portrayal of BPD and what a perfect song for it. Amy Lee sings my soul always. Awesome video. And I would love to chat with you, thank for the invite :-)
O yes, a booktip: Will o' the wisp by Pierre Drieu la Rochelle. It is presented as a novel on depression, but one can also see signs of mania in the main character. It gives a amazing description of depression anyway.
Breathtaking! Shed a little tear. It made me remember the depression, a little to real! Thanx, stange enough, remembers me why I am taking lithium. Do you have a list of the paintings and photos you used?
I stopped taking the lithium, because I wanted to feel what it felt like to feel again. I know you will understand that... I don't want to forget how it feels....

There is something in that deep depressive state where answers are being sought. Or something.
I want to get deeper and deeper into the depressive state as if i do, i will understand it, and come out of it. A desire for a epiphany.
But is it to be understood, or is it merely bad wiring brought on by physical problesms, like lack of nutrients.
I have been involved in outpatient psychiatric programs, and i beleive the best it can achieve is coping, not resolution, or insight.
