I saw this serie when I was a teen, it was actually it was pretty good. My favorite actor was Sherman Howard (Lex Luthor), he always managed to steal the show.

@rba33101 And no, this is not Conner Kent, though his costume, hair, and all-around style are heavily based off of him (although Conner is much less moody). This is an alternate universe version of Clark Kent, when HE was still Superboy.

Lol. They are gonna do a similar thing on Smallville where Clark is transported to an alternate universe and Lionel Luthor is his adopted father in that universe. Lionel finds Clark in the cornfields instead of the Kents. In that universe, Clark Luthor is a murderer and he is transported in our Clark's place. I can't wait it's gonna be a fun episode. It reminds me of Star Trek's parallel universe episodes where is an evil Federation (which is the Terran Empire) and Starfleet.

Actually, for anyone who has read the comics, you could say that that Smallville episode will be the first live-action appearance of Ultraman, an evil Superman from another reality. Since, of course, Clark Luthor is a psycho who kills because he's more powerful than anyone else, which is the same reason Ultraman does what he does. Looks like it should be a good episode. Just wondering if Clark Luthor is having similar problems with the whole 'destiny' thing

Lol. I think you are correct. I just saw the preview for "Luthor" and looks like Clark is wearing a t-shirt that has Ultra-Man's symbol on it. I can't wait. Tonight's episode was pretty good with Aquaman and his wife. Looks like Slade truly becomes Deathstroke. I hope Darkseid really become Darkseid and not stay as a cloud of smoke. They might be taking the Seven Soldiers route with Darkseid where he is just an evil gang leader. I just looked that up on Wikipedia.

I guess the CW doesn't have enough budget to have the real dark lord of Apokolips, Darkseid to appear where you truly see him as in the comics or Bruce Timm's DCAU shows. Just enough to have him as a cloud of smoke and take a human form. Oh well. That is CW for you. At least he is on there in some form.

Well....they didn't seem to care too much, since it aired at 2:30AM on Saturday mornings, in L.A! They never gave it a chance. (And you should see some of the commercials that ran that late...skanky women/900 numbers!! During Superboy!?!)

This is from the third season of Superboy 1990-1991, the third and fourth seasons of the show were the best. The stories were darker and more sophistcated. The first season is out on DVD, But it wasnt until the second season that the show really took off.

I loved season 1 - I was really angry when they replaced the first superboy with this one - even though this one isn't bad, but I really liked JHN's Superboy. GC's was okay, but I felt jipped.

You're in the minority, trust me. Newton's Superboy was nothing to do with the comics, and thus nothing to do with Superboy.

There are two Superboy's. The first is Clark Kent in his teen years back in Smallville. The other is the youthful clone of the adult Superman Kon-El Conner Kent.
