Im an INFP, I tried to avoid it and deny for ages, twisted by questions on tests to what I would like them to be, but in the end I had to accept it, I am INFP.
Im sure I possess positive personality traits and I know that even if typed, everyone is still an individual so one INFP will not be the same as another, but I feel that the negatives outweigh the positives.

Same here, but instead I try understand their mind and manipulate them, no not like ENTJs, dominating and overpowering others. I try strategizing ways to approach them, only people who I'm Really interested.
And since you're an INTP, I don't suppose you like much strategizing as I did. Instead, you like theories more.

I believe, that there are not 16, but 32 personality types. I have always been watching people, who has the same personality type, but obviously were quite different. Let's say, two ENFP's suppose to be like two, warm, nice, kind harmony seekers. It was like this for one ENFP, but there was another, who`s temper wasn't that nice.. So, i went to conclusion, that there is fifth letter. Letter, that says how much conscience person has. I would call it G (good) versus B (bad). I'm INTJG
I'm an ENFJ. I'm fairly educated in my type. I've been recently getting more and more passionate with Meyers-Briggs and it has been frustrating to have nothing to do with my passion. I mean: no school clubs, teams, organizations! I'm crawling in my skin! Considering we are exact opposites, and generally I try to stay away from thinkers anyway, I don't think we would get along. But I look forward to watching onward. :)

INTJ... I very strongly expressed, T and J fairly high expressed. And N is like 3%, if I answer some questions at which I doubted a little different I become an ISTJ.
That's exactly why I got into the Myers Briggs. Was to figure people out and find an accurate platform on which to judge them. I'm not INTP though. Keirsey's website says I'm an ISFP but I don't know about that... Anyway, great video Barcode!
I am an INTP and I use to work as a cashier. I found all the different types of customers so different, yet fascinating , and that's what motivated me to understand people and get into the MBTI . The MBTI helped me a lot with that job, in understanding people and how to get a long in harmony. It's not perfect, but that's because people vary a lot. It's definitely a great tool that's for sure.
I don't think permutations is the right word because then you'd have (2 choose 1)^4 * 4! = 16 * 24 = 384 permutations, since order doesn't count. So (2 choose 1)^4 = 16 combinations is a better statement.
I'm an INTP, and not only have I been tested in the personality, I have also been referred as an INTP (e.g. Architects), as I ace tests by taking fundamental theories and manipulating them into the real thing. I personally like ESTJs or INFJs, which is consistent to what I've heard about MBTI.

It's kinda of funny how this contradicts the immediate perceptions people have of me. This topic came up in class a while back on the first day, where we had to guess people's personality type and why we chose to label them as such. Everyone branded me with "Extroverted" type because of how I look. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover.
INFPs like theory as well. Myers was an INFP and Briggs was an INFJ. Intution in general leads to an interest in theory, but I suppose an INTP might be more drawn to the aspect of having categories in which to place people. As an INFP, I'm very drawn to the theory and have studied it obsessively. And I've had my best discussions about theory with other INFPs and INFJs. I've talked with NT types as well, but in my experience many of them lack subjective understanding of the subtle nuances.
i heard about the Meyers Briggs test once before, but finally took just after we had a discussion about it in my psychology class. My results we're ENFJ.
one question though, i have taken the test a few times, nticing that i am waivering on certain questions, and have noticed that i am jumping between different types, INTP, INTJ, and i believe once ENTJ, they are all three similar in ways, but after reading descriptions about them, i believe that i am a mix of the three, having a little from each, is that normal?, or am i just reading attributes and applying them to myself for no reason?
I came across your videos awhile back, and I'm very impressed with your thoughts on the MBTI. I was wondering if you were still planning on making videos that go extensively into each of the specific types. It would be great to get your insight on them, though I'm sure it will take you quite some time to analyze them all. I'm an introvert and a thinker, so a lot of people are surprised that next year I'm taking 'feeler' subjects (i.e. English, history, etc), when I had always been planning to study maths and so on. I guess we don't have to stick to our personality archetypes: I perform just as well at arts as I do sciences, so it's merely a matter of preference. Sometimes, the choices provided by intelligence can be a burden.

Personality tests are essentially generalizations and simplifications. I agree, if thats what you're looking for take a personality test. I think some people are better at doing things than any other person can possibly hope to be.
i tested as an entj and one of my friends reminded me of that personality test i took in the past of this type when he mentioned being an intj. we ended up really using his planning skills and my enterprising to set up a successful contract for business operation in order to save a beloved small town store with the owner. this has seemed interesting nonetheless
I didn't care for the parameters it put me in so I used the MBTI literature to back engineer an alternate persona for myself years ago.
I hand picked an ENTJ and worked to attain those traits. It is a good alternate.
Now I run my own business and have plans to start more. For handling peo[le the ENTJ works well. I am still really an INTP. It works great for research and retreiving business records.
I have an INTP friend. A problem he has with his understanding people is that he talks and argues without listening, thinking to hard about decisions and actions F types make. Often resorting to a conclusion that is incorrect in his assessment of other types, mostly Fs. My INTP friend, though, is a joy to converse with... Although, I do have to remind him not everyone is as logical & rational as he is.
Trying to better understand people "mathematically" by understanding their types isn't stupid, in fact it could help bridge our differences. Also, let's please not categorize all feelers as irrational. Anyone can be irrational and not know it.

Due to Title 7 this is the only way employers and corporations can legally discriminate against people based upon race, social status, level of social conditioning in your personal life, etc. It is truely sick. My sister works HR and hires people regardless of what these tests say, even though she knows it can get her fired. PTs are truely the new racism in the workforce

You may have a point. I'm guessing you're a straight up thinker for suggesting this - might be true.
How I draw a conclusion out of this is that we humans are as basic as we look - our survival rests upon how we lead our lives and certain biological functions pertain us to be certain personalities... but there is no justification to our limits, intellectual or emotional.
My thesis: ever consider a well-balanced personality? That is, 50% in all I/E, S/N, F/T and P/J.

I'm intj and the analysis seems pretty all true to life. i need people to be sensical or they quickly rub off on me and i can be very loud and try to stop the madness. with words yeah. people understand the need for control but not self control form what i can tell. that is what drives me. i am a lover with scales and little to no ego whatsoever.
I'm a intj, which is similar to an intp but with extroverted thinking. Like intp's I often socializing hard but I'm quite confident in my opinions about things I'm interested in.

technically by one point on the myers brigg test i'm an INTP that one point being on N instead of S so I think its possible for me to be an S as well

Personality tests are essentially generalizations and simplifications. I agree, if thats what you're looking for take a personality test. I think some people are better at doing things than any other person can possibly hope to be.

i tested as an entj and one of my friends reminded me of that personality test i took in the past of this type when he mentioned being an intj. we ended up really using his planning skills and my enterprising to set up a successful contract for business operation in order to save a beloved small town store with the owner. this has seemed interesting nonetheless

I orginally tested INTP just like you.
I didn't care for the parameters it put me in so I used the MBTI literature to back engineer an alternate persona for myself years ago.
I hand picked an ENTJ and worked to attain those traits. It is a good alternate.
Now I run my own business and have plans to start more. For handling peo[le the ENTJ works well. I am still really an INTP. It works great for research and retreiving business records.
This is a very interesting channel.

I have an INTP friend. A problem he has with his understanding people is that he talks and argues without listening, thinking to hard about decisions and actions F types make. Often resorting to a conclusion that is incorrect in his assessment of other types, mostly Fs. My INTP friend, though, is a joy to converse with... Although, I do have to remind him not everyone is as logical & rational as he is.

Trying to better understand people "mathematically" by understanding their types isn't stupid, in fact it could help bridge our differences. Also, let's please not categorize all feelers as irrational. Anyone can be irrational and not know it.

Persoanlity Tests are a SCAM!!!!
Due to Title 7 this is the only way employers and corporations can legally discriminate against people based upon race, social status, level of social conditioning in your personal life, etc. It is truely sick. My sister works HR and hires people regardless of what these tests say, even though she knows it can get her fired. PTs are truely the new racism in the workforce

You may have a point. I'm guessing you're a straight up thinker for suggesting this - might be true.
How I draw a conclusion out of this is that we humans are as basic as we look - our survival rests upon how we lead our lives and certain biological functions pertain us to be certain personalities... but there is no justification to our limits, intellectual or emotional.
My thesis: ever consider a well-balanced personality? That is, 50% in all I/E, S/N, F/T and P/J.

My results for the MBTI are rather inconsistent. I usually get INTJ but sometimes also INTP, ENTJ and ENFP.

I'm intj and the analysis seems pretty all true to life. i need people to be sensical or they quickly rub off on me and i can be very loud and try to stop the madness. with words yeah. people understand the need for control but not self control form what i can tell. that is what drives me. i am a lover with scales and little to no ego whatsoever.
