@citizenrebel hey rebel what up, if you are running windows 7 the stereo mix will not be there. I know it sucks big time. But I think the process is the same laptop/desktop should not be a problem.
@sam9072000 Thanks for the note that the stereo mix option will not show up on a laptop. I was vexed when I could not find it. Did anyone ever figure out how to do this on a laptop?
@citizenrebel Well, I used a video recording program called Fraps, and it only records audio/graphics in a computer and laptop but the down side is that it only records games.
Hi I am running vista on my laptop. I have my mixer with two cd decks plugged into it. I have come out of the rec on back of my mixer to the mic input on laptop. I have set sound forge at 16bit 44hz no other setting has been changed yet like your video suggests. I can record my sound and save it. But on play back it does not sound like a cd quality recording once burned. Any sugestions for me
Can anyone please tell me how to set the recording levels on sound forge 9 using vista. im trying to record a set from cd player and the recording comes out somewhat distorted. ive have downloaded a separate app to lower the mic line in level bout it jus comes out softer but still distorted..any1 know what the problem could be??????
Im trying to record a set through the mic port on my laptop. Neither sound forge 9 or vista have the ability to set the recording level. like i said i had to get a seperate app for that and even thought i am now able to set the mic (line in) level, it still distorts. If i set the levels lower, all it does is records softer, but it still has a bit of distort to it. Sounds like it has to much bass, if you know what i mean. Ive even gone as far as using high end cables and using diffirent software
when i change my settings it doesnt show stereo mix its only got your top 3 settings (in sound forge) any help write back on my channel please i dont think i will be able to find this video again lol
hey i am running win7 and i have soundforge v10 and when i am clicking on recording devices and when i am enabling disabled devices, then stereo mixer doesn't came up for me....can u tell me whats the problem???
actually i want to record what we hear of pur speakers..........plz..plz help me......

@llamabot156 are you using a laptop? Because laptop doesn't have a sound drive so that's why stereo won't show up.
