this was not just a hard landing.. the crosswind correction is one thing, but the pilot either misjudged when he should flare or the aircraft got caught by a microburst... the biggest problem here is not the hard touchdown, but the huge sideload on the landing gear...
I Don't Stay Out Of That!!! This A Bad Landing I Am Agree With You!!! But The Pilot Is Not Bad!! He Makes Just A Bad Landing!!!! All Pilots Do This!!! Besides London City Is A Very Difficult Airport!!! There Is Always Wind And The Degree For The Approach Is Very Hard So I Can Understand Why This Pilot Does This Bad Landing.
you are an idiot. London City is a very hard aproach, and there are plenty of hard landings there, not just swiss ones. and i've seen plenty of americans landing hard.
yea sure ok the approach is hard...so what? that had to be the shittiest landing
(that didn't end in disaster) i've ever seen. the approach doesnt matter, this piloting is just plain bad. bouncing around the runway like that is just unacceptable, that's why we Americans practice this thing called a GO AROUND
the glideslope is very steep and that means a lot of hard landings. in this case it was actualy a normal approach until the last three seconds of flight where the wind shifted and the aircraft's airspeed dropped, causeing the loss of lift and subsequent hard landing. The pilot had no chance to go around. why would you go around in a normal approach? And the US go around, do they? Well that explains all the hard landings i've seen while flying with american carriers....
still doesnt explain why the pilot pitched the nose down near the runway. everyone knows not to do that son..plus his crosswind correction once he was on the ground was very poor, thats why he started tilting over to the right after he bounced...besides it's still a shitty landing so lets just leave it at that
Now i know, why they've installed the wings on top ^^

I hate London City Airport. I mean the 6 degree glide slope is crazy
