I probably would've fired as well. That guy peaking around the corner looked like he could've had a weapon. And one guy did have a gun from what I seen. When you think someone is about to fire at you, you have to make a choice. War is hell.
WikiLeaks isn't the threat to functional society. The U.S. government, corporate, banking and military elite is. The " Mainstream " press is a disgrace.
ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-deadbastards-ha-ha-ha-the price of virgins just went up ha-ha-ha I must return to my quiet mode now with my vet brothers.
@quietlywatching1946 Nice work ? Murdering unarmed civilians ? The helicopter crews should have faced court martial for falsely reporting armed insurgents and firing on them.
Let's just hope they have cameras rolling when the gunships are flying over US cities . . .
That guy at the top at 0:54 looks like he has a gun.
Combine that with the guy peaking around the corner. It looked as if he was using the corner as cover. To be honest, I can understand why they fired. If they made a mistake, that's a part of war. If anything the war should end. People who make mistakes aren't the problem, the war itself is the problem.
@LOYEPWV As I said before to "quietlywatching", the war itself was illegal. The Bush Admin lied to the US Congress and the United Nations about Iraq to justify invasion. Then the US Military imposes martial law on the civilians.
Now any Iraqi in the streets is assumed hostile and any assembled group assumed active insurgents.
The Apache gunship crew had heard reports of insurgents engaging US troops and assumed they had spotted the right group. The crew then murdered them from afar.
camera is a weapon. In the usa if the cops beat your ass and you get it on film..you have broken the law! All our freedom been outsourced with the jobs.
This is what happens when a "police state" takes over a country. Paranoid military troops will shoot anything that moves, even unarmed civilians . . .
@abgarciax1--- how did you get the 'unarmed' conclusion? look again see the weapons. are you blind? the troops didn't appear to be paranoid, that is your projection. police state is what saddam hussein provided! remember the evil of his regime?
you choose to turn the truth upside down, but carefully forgeting parts of the facts
and emphasize the others, thats called liberal propaganda. your empty words need to be challenged. now i'll wait and see if you demonize me or use logic.
They are unarmed. This is not something new or up to debate. They were all unarmed, they have all been identified, and they were all reporters or locals. You're seeing tripods and cameras. Hell, you can even see the cameras bouncing around when they're all being murdered. I sure don't remember the evil of his regime, I wasn't there and neither were you, but I promise you, whatever their country was like under Saddam, it is nothing like the hell we've created for them now.
@bweazel-- your argument is fatally flawed. you claim that i can't know about the hell of saddam hussein's regime because i wasn't there. WELL THEN have IF you haven't been there either you can't claim to know anything about present iraq.
you see you have just made your own point of view invalid, but applying conditions you ignore for youself. get your thinking real.
@Burnz2much It's called a tripod, you dumb cunt. Hey, I hear the Army is looking for people of your intelligence. I hear they pay pretty well too. You wouldn't happen to be unemployed would you?
Regardless if they were weapons or not (they're not weapons), you do not open fire on a group of men standing around talking. Now, if they were flanking American troops. Or holed up in a house firing on other people, sure, light em up.
Don't try to justify cold blooded murder to me though
@Burnz2much I see a tripod. I could ask you the same. You still on (or mentally on) the Corp's payroll? It's not a weapon, clearly. These guys are journalists. What are you trying to say, man? Their journalists walk around with armed groups of terrorists that are considered to be a threat to people? How brainwashed are you?
I'll say again, since you can't seem to read, regardless if they were weapons or not (they're not weapons), you do not open fire on a group of men standing around talking.
@bweazel and ahh yes, Oklahoma lol that explains why you sound like that, i was stationed on an army base there for a little while as I did artillery training for the Corp., and people think Kentucky is inbred.. lol
@Burnz2much He says six men with AK-47s. I see only one man carrying an object that could be mistaken as an AK-47. Where is he getting the other five from (and does that require the killing of 8 people total?)? Also, 3:24, you've been in the military, you'd know. Is it customary for you all to go take pictures of your kills after a fight? And if so, to what end?
@bweazel you only think it looks like cameras because of the captions, any1 would do that to protect the men on the groundyou get real! plus the man at 1:25 is hiding behind the wall with and RPG looking at the helicopter and about to shoot and at 58 seconds there are guys walking with ak's so it was justified and yu should shut up
@Dooddog93 Protect what men on the ground? Hahaha, you moron, this was an ambush by American forces on a group of unarmed men. That is a telefocal lens, you idiot. You can see it slinged over his shoulder at the first of the video. The guy was a journalist. Why are you trying to make it seem like a journalist was walking around with an RPG pointing it at helicopters.
It was not justified, because there was no danger, you pussy. They attacked those men without warning.
@bweazel the group of people was trying to hide the guy with the rpg so he could shoot the heicopter down, it was their mistake for trying to hide him so i was the right descision that most people would make.
@bweazel the group of people was trying to hide the guy with the rpg so he could shoot the heicopter down, it was their mistake for trying to hide him so i was the right descision that most people would make. also, the guys that where going to take the pictures were getting shot at by the terrorists when they were trying to get there.
@Dooddog93 You have got to be kidding me. The initial report was that the apache was there backing up a group of soldiers who were under fire. Look at the group of men, they are clearly not a threat. Nor are they behaving as though they feel threatened. They're not taking cover from the helicopter they can all see and hear, they're just walking down the street. And you're trying to make it sound like some ambush. Get real.
@Dooddog93 Maybe you can answer my question since the last guy avoided it. 3:24. Is it customary for you all to rush up and take pictures of your kills after you fight a battle? And if so, why? Really, the more I look at this, the more it looks like a setup for wikileaks. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out that some CIA agent gave a false report that stirred up this hornets' nest. The soldiers and pilots are clearly overreacting to a group of men that are of no threat to anyone.
@bweazel they were taking pictures of the dang terrorist with the rpg and ak's look at the top of the screen at 53 seconds, 2 men are without a doubt holding guns not cameras. now at 1:20-1:35 is a guy holding an rpg hiding behind a wall trying to shoot at the helicopter, why the heck would a journalist be hiding with a camera and pop out at the last second getting ready to fire....then they opened fire on the group that was trying to protect the guy with the rpg which makes them TERRORISTS.
@Dooddog93 When did I tell you to look at 0:53. I said listen at 3:24. Is it common for you to take pictures of dead terrorists? And if so, for what purpose? No, again for the third time now, that is a telefocal lens. If you can't see those are cameras, you're a moron. He's staring at his camera, probably setting settings, then tries to get a pic in. Look at them right before they get killed, that is a camera on his back, not an RPG. Chill out on the blood lust, k?
@bweazel i will setle ths debate right here with these three pieces of undeniable eveidince that they were terrorists and holding guns.
1) at 1:03, who the heck holds a camera like that?
2) at 1:27, that is the cone at the end of an rpg that lets the rocket blowback escape.
3) it is normal for terrorists to group up and pretend to be civilians to set up ambushes, it is what you call guerilla warfare and this time they got caught.
@Dooddog93 You are in complete denial. Like I said, this isn't up to debate. They made a mistake, they killed civilians. The civilians were unarmed. Two of them worked for Reuters. Reuters filed a FOIA request to get this video two years before it was released.
Are you trying to call those reporters terrorists?
@bweazel im in denial, look at you, you change the story everytime you comment. i say every time clear as daylight that there are 2 guys with the cameras, at least 2 more guys with guns after at 58 seconds, a guy with an rpg HIDING behind a corner after he picked it up off the curb at 1:19, and a firefight with ground forces right next to that location, that is all there is to it and i don't care what you think of in your next comment(s). btw official report from where?
@bweazel they were taking pictures of the dang terrorist with the rpg and ak's look at the top of the screen at 53 seconds, 2 men are without a doubt holding guns not cameras. now at 1:20-1:35 is a guy holding an rpg hiding behind a wall trying to shoot at the helicopter, why the heck would a journalist be hiding with a camera and pop out at the last second getting ready to fire....then they opened fire on the group that was trying to protect the guy with the rpg which makes them TERRORISTS.!
@bweazel Agreed. Saddam was ruthless and was a monster. Interesting how when he gassed all those kurds back in 88 the so called humanitarians turned a blind eye. And Saddam didn't tolerate terrorists. I'll give him credit for that.
@bweazel how the fuck can you say anything about what it was like when he was in power as to what we are doing there now grow the fuck up he killed many thousands and then some more not to mention the killing of thousands in the iraq iran war that people some how seem to forget the thousands that died from chemical weps he used on his people and iran they kill themselves more than we kill them think about that
as for killing reporters im srry shit happs they knew what they sighned up for
@bweazel i guess carrying tripods and cameras into a war zone, may attract a lot of undue attention, especially if shots have been ringing out against opposing forces..not really feeling sorry for the press, they get right up to the center of the nuke, then we goo oooooh...shouldn't have fired that one....God bless..Gianni
@bweazel no saddam would have thrown them naked into a bark chipper before he took his frustration out on a good looking willing Iraqi girl. By the way did you see the great video of him being hung, wonder if he had condoms in his pockets??? you know...like his sons?
@ddarkshark Look again yourself. Did you see a group of camouflaged troops with assault rifles ? Or did you see a fuzzy black and white image from a helicopter gun camera showing unarmed civilians in plain clothes ?
Illegal war, illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. US lied to the United Nations about Iraq to justify invasion. Imposed martial law where all civilians were assumed hostile and everything looked like a weapon to the troops.
The mainstream media learned during Vietnam to not show a lot of live war footage. People don't see this stuff so nobody gets really too upset about the war. But this is bullshit.
This video was released approximately 8 months ago. The timing coincided with the Tiger Woods Scandal and was rarely reported by the Mainstream Media.
This is not a recent leak - I saw it months ago here on youtube. And I'm not one who thinks we oughta be in this part of the world, but I have no blame for the copter crew. I would'a done the same thing if there was an RPG aimed at me. As for the reporters - be careful of the company you keep. As for the children who died in the footage shortly after - don't bring your kids to battle. The gunner had no way of knowing there were kids in that van.
@AncientLegacy Wow, I've never seen more straw men in my life.
If it was a camera then it was an honest mistake. The crew had every reason to believe their lives were in danger. And while I don't support this war either, it can certainly not be compared to Nazi Germany. The militants over there are not friendly frenchman - they're the same people who danced in the streets on 9/11. Too bad you weren't around next to that reporter. Wish it had footage of you too.
@mouthpiece200 whatever you say, justify it however you want, but lets just turn the tables for a moment:
China has invaded the u.s. because some american did something stupid in china.
The chinese military patrols the streets, checking every person, they patrol the air above your town. Then they see you holding a pipe or a bat or a gun. So you must be a militant. - boom. - end of story right?
"we were just following orders" - Nazi concentration camp guards.
@AncientLegacy Why are you putting words in my mouth again? I never said this was justified - they just made an honest mistake and thought someone was about to shoot their helicopter down. You'd shoot back too if you thought you were in danger - anybody would. If you're looking for a "dumb American" to bash, find one that supports the war.
There wasn't an RPG aimed at them. It was a telephoto lens. But ya, you really can't blame the copter crew. They were responding to a report of a group of men with RPGs and guns. Wouldn't be surprised at all if the CIA or Mossad called in that bullshit on this group of men too to get just this sort of reaction from the copter crew, so they could later release it on their psyop known as wikileaks.
I still can't understand why they had children with them.
We are there to claim first dibs on the oil and scarce minerals and opium. That is why we are creating Al Ciada in Yemen, so we have an excuse to go in and set up a base. Oil shipping can be controlled from that location. We have set up multiple supply bases in Africa so when the fight for it's resources begins we will have equipment and supplies ready for the troops. NWO wants most of us dead anyway, so they don't care. America is not drilling their own oil to keep as a reserve.
@TeMpTeK1 sorry, i've been going through the comments and it seems like so many are defending the pilots and defending the war, i didn't know you were being sarcastic.
ThIs is an intentional leak. The message is "if we do not do what we want, we will "engage" you. And buy our Apachis , if you have Apachi, you can conquer the world.
@MsTarantala they are the military its their job to kill, thats what war is and it is hell. You cant blame the air crew they followed protocol and did a visual assesment, there was men who were armed in an area where the enemy are known to be, he called in and asked for permission to enguage it was granted, if the reporter would have had clearance to be there they would have known and if he had a press i.d. kit vest and helmet then there would have been no mistake.
@AncientLegacy now now no need for name calling, if your were a soilder on the street getting shot at then yes! there is a war going on, it started on a " pure basis" rember that "we got attacked on 911" well there is still sheeple like that in the military and also there is the "my brother in arms mentality" as well. dont get pissed because my points on this vid are valid, yes these wars are wrong but the war is very real to a troop who is seeing his friends die everyday..DONT FORGET THAT!
@secretsquirrell13 you're quite right, no need for name calling, however, this is not war, this is us invading 2 other sovereign countries. this is us being bullies and murderers. we shouldn't be there. there is no reason for us to be there.
What would you think if the tables were turned and china had invaded the u.s.? so you're out walking with some friends, and suddenly a chinese helicopter shows up and kills you all, because you MIGHT be militants, with cameras.
@AncientLegacy Access to cheap oil is why we are there, without cheap, easy to access oil western civilisation cannot exist as we know it so that is why we are there. PM me if you have more questions otherwise please look int "peak oil". And no we shouldn't be there.
@AncientLegacy Oh no doubt this is a quagmire on a grand scale, its like vietnam all over again, you cant blame the troops though, they are in a box cut off from the outside world, its a different place there so the mentality is different. Really I just wish we could bring the troops home and end it as well, too much death and blood spilt and way too much long term damage done to a generation of ppl...no matter where their from.
@AncientLegacy yes sir, its all up to us, we the ppl have the power to end it all at any time we wish, we just need to realize our power and have real change in the world, everybody is tired of this shit. Soon all over the world, ppl will realize this I just hope its not to late.....
Bwwahaha, we the people have the power, huh? Well, I dunno, but from where I'm sitting, it looks like them the people (the Iraqis in this video) didn't have much power at all. Let me here that 'we the people' talk out of you whenever you have to fight your own military. Do you know how to fly a helicopter? Hmm? Perhaps an F-15? No? Any training in battlefield tactics? Weapons training? Hand to hand combat? Survival? 'We the people'.... Ha. I'm having to say this a lot today: Get real.
@secretsquirrell13 I agree with what your getting at, however, the idea of we the people will need to emerge after the collapse of our current empire. We the people will be needed to rebuild. As for the rest of the world; once we lose the ability to project force globally(numerous ways this could occur) the world won't have to do anything but sit and watch. We import a HUGE percentage of our food, oil, materials needed for survival, that in a collapse our wrongs will really come back to bite us.
kinda weird...from what I'm seeing it appears they are carrying firearms and acting sneaky, but we had no business being there in the first place...no wonder the world hates us.
@mskittie30 yup thats what im saying two things about this vid, the men carrying the cameras didnt have any id on them like a vest or a helmet showing that they are press, and they are walking around the hood with armed dudes, if they had clearance to be there to film then the apache crew would have known that there was friendlies in the area and would have called in troops to investigate the suspicious activity instead of permission to engage.
Now what if this was a Russian hind or Chinese attack helicopter firing on some American insurgents? Now that would be se funny shit

@quietlywatching1946 Nice work ? Murdering unarmed civilians ? The helicopter crews should have faced court martial for falsely reporting armed insurgents and firing on them.
Let's just hope they have cameras rolling when the gunships are flying over US cities . . .
abgarciax1 1 year ago
@abgarciax1
LOYEPWV 1 year ago
@LOYEPWV As I said before to "quietlywatching", the war itself was illegal. The Bush Admin lied to the US Congress and the United Nations about Iraq to justify invasion. Then the US Military imposes martial law on the civilians.
Now any Iraqi in the streets is assumed hostile and any assembled group assumed active insurgents.
The Apache gunship crew had heard reports of insurgents engaging US troops and assumed they had spotted the right group. The crew then murdered them from afar.

abgarciax1 1 year ago 3
@abgarciax1--- how did you get the 'unarmed' conclusion? look again see the weapons. are you blind? the troops didn't appear to be paranoid, that is your projection. police state is what saddam hussein provided! remember the evil of his regime?
you choose to turn the truth upside down, but carefully forgeting parts of the facts
and emphasize the others, thats called liberal propaganda. your empty words need to be challenged. now i'll wait and see if you demonize me or use logic.
ddarkshark 1 year ago
They are unarmed. This is not something new or up to debate. They were all unarmed, they have all been identified, and they were all reporters or locals. You're seeing tripods and cameras. Hell, you can even see the cameras bouncing around when they're all being murdered. I sure don't remember the evil of his regime, I wasn't there and neither were you, but I promise you, whatever their country was like under Saddam, it is nothing like the hell we've created for them now.
Get real.
bweazel 1 year ago 22
@bweazel-- your argument is fatally flawed. you claim that i can't know about the hell of saddam hussein's regime because i wasn't there. WELL THEN have IF you haven't been there either you can't claim to know anything about present iraq.
you see you have just made your own point of view invalid, but applying conditions you ignore for youself. get your thinking real.

Burnz2much 1 year ago
@Burnz2much It's called a tripod, you dumb cunt. Hey, I hear the Army is looking for people of your intelligence. I hear they pay pretty well too. You wouldn't happen to be unemployed would you?
Regardless if they were weapons or not (they're not weapons), you do not open fire on a group of men standing around talking. Now, if they were flanking American troops. Or holed up in a house firing on other people, sure, light em up.
Don't try to justify cold blooded murder to me though
bweazel 1 year ago
@bweazel Your blind as fuck, at exactly 00:56 you can see its a weapon.. do you get payed by the post or do you sound like a retard for free?
Burnz2much 1 year ago
@Burnz2much I see a tripod. I could ask you the same. You still on (or mentally on) the Corp's payroll? It's not a weapon, clearly. These guys are journalists. What are you trying to say, man? Their journalists walk around with armed groups of terrorists that are considered to be a threat to people? How brainwashed are you?
I'll say again, since you can't seem to read, regardless if they were weapons or not (they're not weapons), you do not open fire on a group of men standing around talking.

@bweazel you only think it looks like cameras because of the captions, any1 would do that to protect the men on the groundyou get real! plus the man at 1:25 is hiding behind the wall with and RPG looking at the helicopter and about to shoot and at 58 seconds there are guys walking with ak's so it was justified and yu should shut up
Dooddog93 1 year ago
@Dooddog93 Protect what men on the ground? Hahaha, you moron, this was an ambush by American forces on a group of unarmed men. That is a telefocal lens, you idiot. You can see it slinged over his shoulder at the first of the video. The guy was a journalist. Why are you trying to make it seem like a journalist was walking around with an RPG pointing it at helicopters.
It was not justified, because there was no danger, you pussy. They attacked those men without warning.
bweazel 1 year ago
@bweazel the group of people was trying to hide the guy with the rpg so he could shoot the heicopter down, it was their mistake for trying to hide him so i was the right descision that most people would make.

@bweazel the group of people was trying to hide the guy with the rpg so he could shoot the heicopter down, it was their mistake for trying to hide him so i was the right descision that most people would make. also, the guys that where going to take the pictures were getting shot at by the terrorists when they were trying to get there.
Dooddog93 1 year ago
@Dooddog93 You have got to be kidding me. The initial report was that the apache was there backing up a group of soldiers who were under fire. Look at the group of men, they are clearly not a threat. Nor are they behaving as though they feel threatened. They're not taking cover from the helicopter they can all see and hear, they're just walking down the street. And you're trying to make it sound like some ambush. Get real.
bweazel 1 year ago
@Dooddog93 Maybe you can answer my question since the last guy avoided it. 3:24. Is it customary for you all to rush up and take pictures of your kills after you fight a battle? And if so, why? Really, the more I look at this, the more it looks like a setup for wikileaks. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out that some CIA agent gave a false report that stirred up this hornets' nest. The soldiers and pilots are clearly overreacting to a group of men that are of no threat to anyone.
bweazel 1 year ago
@bweazel they were taking pictures of the dang terrorist with the rpg and ak's look at the top of the screen at 53 seconds, 2 men are without a doubt holding guns not cameras. now at 1:20-1:35 is a guy holding an rpg hiding behind a wall trying to shoot at the helicopter, why the heck would a journalist be hiding with a camera and pop out at the last second getting ready to fire....then they opened fire on the group that was trying to protect the guy with the rpg which makes them TERRORISTS.
Dooddog93 1 year ago

Dooddog93 1 year ago
@Dooddog93 You are in complete denial. Like I said, this isn't up to debate. They made a mistake, they killed civilians. The civilians were unarmed. Two of them worked for Reuters. Reuters filed a FOIA request to get this video two years before it was released.
Are you trying to call those reporters terrorists?
1:03, That's a tripod, dick.
1:27 For the fourth time now, that is a telefocal lens.
They got caught? Doing what? Walking down the street and taking pictures?
bweazel 1 year ago
@bweazel im in denial, look at you, you change the story everytime you comment. i say every time clear as daylight that there are 2 guys with the cameras, at least 2 more guys with guns after at 58 seconds, a guy with an rpg HIDING behind a corner after he picked it up off the curb at 1:19, and a firefight with ground forces right next to that location, that is all there is to it and i don't care what you think of in your next comment(s). btw official report from where?

@ddarkshark Look again yourself. Did you see a group of camouflaged troops with assault rifles ? Or did you see a fuzzy black and white image from a helicopter gun camera showing unarmed civilians in plain clothes ?
Illegal war, illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. US lied to the United Nations about Iraq to justify invasion. Imposed martial law where all civilians were assumed hostile and everything looked like a weapon to the troops.
The US has become a police state.

And you'd justify it like that? wow, america is full of more idiots than I thought.
Ya know what, the same excuse was used by the nazis.
"i was only following orders"

"the frenchman had a weapon, i had to kill him"
"that man is running away! he must be hiding something! KILL HIM!"

AncientLegacy 1 year ago
@AncientLegacy Wow, I've never seen more straw men in my life.
If it was a camera then it was an honest mistake. The crew had every reason to believe their lives were in danger. And while I don't support this war either, it can certainly not be compared to Nazi Germany. The militants over there are not friendly frenchman - they're the same people who danced in the streets on 9/11. Too bad you weren't around next to that reporter. Wish it had footage of you too.
mouthpiece200 1 year ago
@mouthpiece200 whatever you say, justify it however you want, but lets just turn the tables for a moment:
China has invaded the u.s. because some american did something stupid in china.
The chinese military patrols the streets, checking every person, they patrol the air above your town. Then they see you holding a pipe or a bat or a gun. So you must be a militant. - boom. - end of story right?
"we were just following orders" - Nazi concentration camp guards.
AncientLegacy 1 year ago
@AncientLegacy Why are you putting words in my mouth again? I never said this was justified - they just made an honest mistake and thought someone was about to shoot their helicopter down. You'd shoot back too if you thought you were in danger - anybody would. If you're looking for a "dumb American" to bash, find one that supports the war.
mouthpiece200 1 year ago
