Blah! Thats's not fake. I worked on that project when I was employed by NASA at Edwards AFB in California. It was a test to attempt to reduce the flash fire of burning fuel should an airliner crash.
The fuel in the tanks were a gel, then gets converted to liquid when it's consumed in the engines. Even though there were lots of flames, technically it was a success. The flames were created by the fuel that was converted back to liquid.
This plane was also used for remote control of a plane. it was doing touch and go landings. I recorded this show off of NOVA. This plane came apart with a couople of steel forks in the ground. At the WTC the wings sheared through outer and inner load bearing walls and 10 floors of steel reinforced concrete flooring! Wing tips!

Pootangpie69, That's actually a good idea although I don't know if there's a way to neutralize kerosene. What pilots usually do if they know they are going to make a crash or dangerous landing is dump s much fuel as possible from the plane before landing.
