@NLS87, yes, it is. This is NeXTSTEP with a Mac interface grafted on. Then Apple developed Aqua and dropped the mixed NeXT/Platinum theme. NeXTSTEP is the basis of OS X. It even still have the rainbow wait cursor, which was to show you that the optical drive was reading/writing (NeXT Cubes had no hard drives).
