This is america if your homeless i garentee you can work your way up, get a job, get an apartment. Its all about individual responsiblity but sometimes government should help the poor, but not help them to a point where thery're paying for them too live.

I think that you need to get your head out of your ass and take a real good look around you...People are losing their jobs and can not afford to pay for housing and the things to survive...This man is a veteran, served in vietnam twice, and this is the way the government is treating him. It's not that the poor don't want to go and get a job, but there are no jobs available for the thousands. Remember, last month 27 thousand jobs lost due to the economy.........

@MrChrisjarrell Maybe you can't find them because you don't live in a ghetto. I'm not saying all people in ghettos are unneducated and can't even locate the US on a world map, but the majority do. Take a ride through south LA and you'll get a taste of what our tax money is going to. People seem to always think that losing your home will turn you into this guy, but i'm pretty sure a hardworking guy like you can to a shitload more than just sit on the street and beg for money.

excellent video and an excellent way to honor veterans. i am showing this to my 8th grade social studies class tomorrow. maybe it will give them a little insight about what its like for some veterans out there.
