How did you put together your video so well with Hi-def clips? They always seem to lag for me in the preview monitor. I have tried looking up YouTube tutorials to get rid of this, they only show you how to get rid of the lag on a single clip, but you can't slice them and still have them run smooth for the most part... Thanks in advance!
in the humble words of David Madry "color correction presets should be a guide or a starting point but SHOULD NOT replace color correction for each individual scene."
In Vegas, try clicking the small arrow above the preview monitor (where it will either say "Best", "Good", "Preview", or "Draft", followed by (Quarter), (Full), (Half), or (Auto) ) .
After that, a drop menu should come. Try choosing either "Preview (Auto)" or "Draft (Auto)". Usually works for me, although my video files are different.. oO
Also, try to minimize the space used by the preview monitor as that can cause it to be jittery as well ;]
just tried what you said and the video is a bit better. however, when i preview my video, the audio plays fine, and the video lags or just stays on the same frame. after a few seconds it will skip to the correct time. :/
No problem, but yeah, that does happen to me as well, especially when the clips have many visual effects added to them, I'm not sure if there is a way around this :/
your computer is not fast enough to handle the rendering. video rendering is one of the most processor intensive things you can do (next to 3d rendering) plain and simple: you computer is not fast enough. upgrade, or , u just kinda havta deal with it. i upgraded from my laptop to a quadcore with 8gigs of ddr2 ram, with a 9600gt vid card, everything runs beautiful.
Really like your videos, I just bought the Sony HDR XR500V also. This video of yours inspired me to try my hand at editing. Just uploaded, take a look and tell me what you think. again, thanks for the inspiration.
I`m not a pro But I help guys that they shoot wedding or concert with local rock band or something like that. I bought this cam. because I can get some income with professional results, sometimes when the people lookin at you with the little cams, they think that you ere not gonna do a pro. job that`s all. Sorry I made mistake in the first comment I type down the wrrong key.I didn`t mention that you did a good pro. job in this vid. Thanks.
I have fx1 but still I can`t get the film looks yet, I try one time with movie looks VEGAS HD but it takes some much time to render; by the way what version of vegas are you use? I have vegas 6
why did you get the fx1, are you a professional videographer? I use sony vegas pro 8, and I have several movie look settings. Even playing with the colour corrector can get that film look. Just increase contrast, and diffusion, and play around with the other settings. It doesnt take too long to render, it takes me about 6 times the length of the video to render in full hd, and about 5 times, to render in 720p
To find music like this, download soundtracks, from movies and games. Usually war games or movies like call of duty or black hawk down, they have great soundtracks.
I use a Sony FX1 but just bought a HDR-XR500V and I also use Vegas, version 7. Are you using the HD 1080-24p (1920x1080, 23.976 fps) properties setting and then adding Magic Bullet Editors, or Looks or just tweaking with Color Curves, then rendering in AVC/AAC mp4?
The native video I film is AVCHD 1080-60i, 16mbps. I then import this into vegas, edit it with the newblue fx addon, playing with saturation, contrast, gamma, difusion, etc. Then I render it as Mpeg 2, HDV 720-24p for youtube.
what FPS you used? It looks like 25 or less

question. when i import my footage onto my computer its saved as .m2ts.
when i try loading up a clip on sony vegas, the video is played really slowly, or it stutters.
is this how you do it?
estradaoct 2 years ago
Yea video playback in Sony Vegas tends to be slow. But if you have a decent computer, like a quad core, then it should run pretty smoothly.

What do you like better...NewBlueFX or Magic Bullet Looks...???
does NewBlueFX got as many presets as Magic Bullet Looks??? cause Magic Bullet Looks have over 100+
CinCBamaboy 2 years ago
@CinCBamaboy I prefer NewBlueFX, and I also have Magic Bullet but have not found a preset that I like enough to use in my videos.

thing is, i don't edit them at all. all i do is add the .m2ts files to the timeline and the preview playback starts acting weird on me.
estradaoct 2 years ago
Hmm.. That is a bit odd :/ are they high resolution / quality clips?
TrapShooter123 2 years ago
yeah full hd

Ahh, I see... that may be why, although i cannot be sure..

well, ill make it quite simple
