i think that it should either be $100 and $130 for 8 and 16 or they should keep the newest price point and make a widescreen display that is at least 150% the size and a camera on the back for both video and photo which also means a mic for recording and video as an app because i have a tiny MP3 player that has a mic, FM radio and either 2,4,8GB and a mini SD card reader but no camera or touch screen or photo/video playback but also it was only $45 for the 4GB model

I'm thinking of getting the new nano for christmas, I dont care about it not having a speaker or a camera, I just want it for music. this might be a silly question but, the sound quality depends on the ear/headphones you are using right? because I want top notch sound quality.

@MrNerdyBrit Yes. Lower end MP3 Players MIGHT mess up the sound quality, but an iPod will not! Get some good headphones, and this, and you'll have perfect sound quality! I think this is something very good for you. :)

I've used my iPod Touch as my music device ever since the battery in my 1st gen iPod nano fried and only holds a charge for 3hours (not playing music) and I absolutely hate riding a mountain bike taking my eyes off the trail to change the song. The click-wheel needs to make a comeback on the nano.

I like that it's has a multitouch screen... for me it makes it a lot faster to find the song you're looking for... I definitely prefer it over the previous generation, camera and microphone are unnecessary to me. lol.

I think the nano suits my needs. It's the perfectsize, and very easy to navigate with the new 1.2. The pedometer works very good, and with all the different watch faces. I like the favorite option, where I can favorite my 2 favorite stations. Overall, I think it's better than my sansa fuze.

i think the price fits considering what that little thing is capable of, its more than just a ipod with a small screen, your paying for features and innovation and if that thing was only 100 bucks then it wouldnt have multitouch 24 hours of battery picture gallery games and all that compacted in a small device if microsoft made this they wouldnt sell it for no 100 dollars either

I think this generation of Nano isnt a nano, persay, Its a shuffle, and shouldnt be called a nano. It doesnt have the video functions like the previous nano, and its not glorified. For one, its a down grade from the old nano, shouldnt be $150.00

is there a mute button or a 'quick kill' button on this nano?? I find myself being interrupted at work and I have to 1. look at my ipod, 2. press the power button and wait for the the screen, 3. press the screen to show the pause button. Meanwhile having to pay attention to who ever is talking to me. Does anyone else have this problem? I guess i could just pull out the headphones to pause it quickly. But for $150 plus dollars, really??

@marting1984 you can..try this one go to the settings, then music, choose the sleep/wake button. make sure the double click is on, below that it says that double click for: next track & play/pause .so you choose play/pause. when you double click the power button it will immedietly pause the music.
