  • It acts as a well from the ground to obtain naturally hot water out of the hot spring. The source pool is piped to the hotel where it is used for swirl pools and hot tubs. The 16 y/o girl who was burned in '93 had initially gotten 75% liability for her own actions, but they appealed and ended up getting 40%. So the hotel was found 60% liable. (I'm doing a law paper on this incident) Personally, I think it should've been 50/50. At the time, the fence was broken, but she still climbed in.

  • Yeah, they got a little hot spring but they have big gas fired furnaces to heat the pools and the hotel.

  • umm no they don't heat the pools of the hot springs..they have a cooling system to cool it. Nice attempt uninformed person.

  • Google: harrison hot springs "gallons per hour"

347 gallons per hour is less than 6 gallons per minute.

The town pool takes part of that, too.

What is that giant furnace building behind the hotel for?

  • Google: "potash hot springs" ...yeah you're really going to be sitting in harrisons 60 degree celsius water. Good one dude...let's see how long you could sit in that without severely burning your body. LOL

  • That place is sweet i love it. I like to walk across the huge ass log in the middle of the actual natural pool.

  • You would have to be the biggest idiot to jump into that. They got burned and it serves 'em right whoever it was.
