  • subs aren't your thing are they huh?

  • thats not anyones fault they cant tell right from wrong.....corruption? thats just a word, its not like the west invented corruption!

  • why you never put fucking subtitles you asshole!

  • Will you quit trying to call modern Japanese warriors?!?! You do it in like every documentary you do.!!

  • HEY!!!! HOW ABOUT TRANSLATIONS OF WHAT THE NINJA BOSS SAID!!!!

  • It's quite ignorant to think that in this day and age, a sport as big as sumo wrestling (pardon the pun) would be completley non-corrupt.

Tis a shame, but hardly worth shooting yourself over.

  • Strange, its most Westerns keeps most Japan's martial arts culture alive, also, videogames is more Asian thingy than Westerners.

  • we in the west value corruption a lot! wow.... wtf?!?!?

  • Japan is notorious for fixed-matches and Mafia involvement in sports. The last one being what (nearly) killed MMA in Japan, unfortunately. Also lol at the corruption being a western value comment. Whoever wrote that for the narrator needs to get his ignorant head out of his ass.

  • So you worked so hard to get that exclusive interview with the guy then wont even give us subs? What a waste....

  • nice vid! but where are the subtitles? honestly folks...how hard is it to include these damn subs?!

  • The fact is, no one wants to watch fat guys in bikinis slapping and pushing each other around. It's really disgusting and gay.

  • how come no subs, wtf

  • Sumo is a pushing contest, when someone who actually Can wrestle comes to sumo, he immediately becomes the champion.

  • fuck you journeyman corruption is a universal trait , has nothing to do with race or nationality

and start putting fucking subtitles when people speak language other then english

  • yeah i hear sumo is corrupt like hell (stats dont lie) , even has connection to yakuza and two guys who stood up against whole thing died under mysterious circumstances . Then again , bunch of fat bastards hugging each other is kinda gay .

    Kinda sad for ninjas though

  • it's really good to know this despite all the good sides of japan

  • Why do journalists make everything worse than it is?

There was that one time where Robbie Williams didn't shaved himself in the morning, stood on his veranda and yawned.

The next day the news-papers said something about him having had an excessive night full of alcohol, the photo (unshaved with a "painful expression", the yawn ) again.

However, the sumo world does have scandals, like the Asashōryū one.

But people shouldn't blame this on japan, they should blame the corrupted sumo-association.

  • tsk, japanophiles..

  • haha that lil kid at 5:13 was crying cuz his arm was injured in the fight. Aww poor kid =[

  • all of these journeyman videos only focus on the bad things...what's going on here????

  • burayoshi - very True its a British show. even though some of the info is good to Know. most of all their videos are Negative stuff.

at least natgeo & Discovery are positive views

  • DAMN!! a SUMO ORGY!!! i had to imagine that after i heard it....

  • ahh! i wanna be inside an airplane filled with japanese people too!!

  • They held a sumo torment in melbourne at one stage and i watch it. I donno if is was 1996 or 1997

  • A very badly executed documentary, bordering on grossly misleading and unprofessional. I love the bit around 10.30 where they desperately try to make out there's something more sinister, by saying they were moved on for filming outside, when clearly the passing policeman is just randomly clearing the entrance way and shows no specific interest in removing the camera. How can networks pass such shameful journalism? Only ignorant editors needing a STORY, banking on the audiences lack of knowledge.

  • fuck u journeyman.

  • very interesting!

  • the worlds best sumo said that when there is something good in the world there is always ppl that wants to destroy it and i agree with this (^.^)

  • What's the deal with baseball!?

  • Since when is corruption a [western] value? 06:10

  • cheezy documentary, poorly done by the abc

  • abc?

  • ABC Australia, a tv production company.

  • western values like corruption? WTF!?

    fuck u journeyman.

  • @onimotoko f u

  • @onimotoko f you

  • @MSBrown1115 Why thank U buddy.

  • @onimotoko

I kind of agree. I think journeyman is really great at providing excellent videos with small but regular dose of western misunderstandings, generalizations, and incorrect information

  • @mafurock33 in many of these jm videos, the dose is pretty large.

  • I don't agree with the term "Western interests". Japanese have their own popular culture going on.

  • Ya know, for a minute. When I saw the little sumo kid... I totally expected him to be plowed down by Akebono.

  • gluttoness pawns

  • I personally love Sumo Wrestling, because of it's simple rules and layout. I feel like it is one of the purest forms of strength battles that exist today.

  • Western values... like corruption? JourneymanDude that was like, totally uncalled for.

  • I think He meant that people thought corruption was a new intrusion but it was already inside the organization.

  • Its just the way he said it, OUT OF CONTEXT.

    Funny, dude (-_-)

  • hahaha i love that,

  • Great work! I'm glad i subscribed to your channel when I view such a report. Thx and best wishes for 2008!

  • ninjas are the coolest how can they not have intrest.

  • They aren't needed.

  • as popular as classic archery in Europe
