Vegas Vacation WAS NOT a straight to video movie!! I saw it in the theatre ... I was working as a projectionist at AMC when it came out! It was a GOOD movie! I liked all The Vacation movies I have seen so far!! You need to get your information right before you review a movie! And make sure you state that it is YOUR OPINION ... you're a JACKASS!

lampoons means nothing goes right but turns out good in the end thats why they are called national lampoons as it means completely disfunctional family and that was how the script was written and it is a brilliantly written script thats why you do not understand why it is such a great series of films however they did cut off at the right time as it does get a bit monotenous to watch please do not reply to this as it is only a comment.

Vegas Vacation wasn't straight to video. It was released in theaters on 2-14-97. And it didn't do too shabby either. About $36 million. Probably because it was funny, you uninformed jackass.

Have you ever watched the thrid season of full house? most of the boat scenes when he forgot to tie it up where from the first episode of that season. To me this entire movie was somewhat a rip off of that episode because it is real similar and did i mention it uses some of the same footage?

I saw this movie, it did suck, I've seen Vegas Vacation numerous times, I and many other people like it a lot, it has tons of funny stuff, the Rusty character was funny, the street vendor of fake IDs was funny even cousin Eddy was funny. I think there could be a funny Cousin Eddy movie, it just has to be written funny and directed correctly by people with senses of humor. You can't just blame it on Cousin Eddy, tho Randy Quade should have known better.
