  • @bailinnumberguy Love that quote. Great for an article on life purpose!! Thanks for posting that.

  • that's the thing about WASP's..they love animals..hate people

  • This movie has tons of priceless quotes. Whoever wrote some of these gem lines deserves a lot of credit.

'Greed is good' 'The thing about money is that it makes you do things you don't want to do'. 'You never had the guts to go out and stake your own claim'. 'Money never sleeps' 'The stock's going to Pluto' 'I create nothing, I own'. 'Get dressed, I'll show you my charts' 'So the falcon's heard the falconer' 'You'll have the shortest executive career since that pope who got poisoned'

  • @bailinnumberguy YOu forgot the best one: "Man looks into the abyss,he sees nothing staring back, that's when he finds his character, and that's what keeps him OUT of the abyss"

  • @bailinnumberguy "same dog,different fleas"

  • my favorite movie, after seeing the sequel, they should have left well enough alone, no comparison

  • 'I create nothing, I own" thats the gospel truth of making money..

really as simple yet profound as that

  • Check out the Fat Cat Bankers by Tokyo Rose

  • very informative, intelligent, and exciting.

  • 1:20 biggest cellphone on the PLANET

  • made me look at money/markets differently

  • Wallstreet rocks.

  • winning

  • in real life sheen is more like gecco and douglas is more like bud fox

  • can someone tell me what music that is in the background please.

  • @vymmas its winter from the four seasons by vivaldi, you can listen to it here watch?v=GAk1UOh83fI

  • @JoeTube27 Clearly, you did not watch this movie.

  • no movie will ever be better than this

  • BTW I saw Wall Street 2, and after that I saw Wall Street (this one) and the original is so much better...

  • What's the name of that, urm, "classical piece" that starts at around the 1:00 minute mark?

    Thanks!

  • @loiq98 That's "Winter" from Vivaldi's 4 seasons: nGdFHJXciAQ in youtube

  • I honestly remember watching 20-20 and the show highlighted two scumbags from wallstreet having lunch, those weird funky little plates of food, these weirdos never did labor for a living; $2,400 dollars for each "guy". None of us want to be a "guy", embarrassing.

  • oh

that's the guy from two and a half man...

  • after watching this trailer i understand why there is charlie sheen in the 2nd movie

  • @MissNathalieAnn me too .. hate juno actress and all her characters .. inception was good though

  • Cant beat the orginal

  • missing those wtc towers....0:06

  • love it! love it! love it!

  • Can someone explain why Shia Lebouf is in all of these films as of late? He isn't that great an actor. He isn't that good looking. He's in Transformers, Indiana Jones, Wall Street 2 now. The guy is such a loser, yet it seems like Hollywood swoons over him and gives him all these major roles. Why?

  • @MystikWizard Hater! his acting is more than a pretty face on a screen

  • @MystikWizard losers relate easier to losers. sells films better than seeing someone cool like in tron. apparently.

  • Oliver Stone showed us all that the big bankers of America fooled all of us into giving a false Bailout to make them more wealthy..Thank you Mr. Stone.

  • i watched the sequel, it was fine

    sadly before the original

so i guess i miss important stuff from the original.

  • @MissNathalieAnn Have you seen the movie "Inception"? Joseph Gordon Leavitt Could of stood side by side with Michel Douglas & play the character better than Shia.

  • @MissNathalieAnn Shia was fine. The stuff about the family relationships is what killed the 2nd film. They should have stuck to simply the back room wheeling and dealing while minimizing the father-daughter relationship.

  • PLEAST DONT F UP WALLSTREET 2 OLIVER STONE!!!

  • @asianliciousonline too late unf! WS2 stinks. Shia is such a goober.

  • Greed in all of it's forms.........brilliant dialog

  • LOL at 1:17 - that mobile phone!

  • @Seasass they actually poke fun of it in the sequel. When Gekko is released from prison (opening scene) they give him back that phone, ha.

  • what happened to stone? so sad.

  • become a fan of Wall Street Blogger on facebook

  • one of the best films of the 80's...Stone either directed or wrote most of the best films of the 80's & 90's...

  • they should make a sequel

  • @retrocareermelted they are..

  • @retrocareermelted : They already did.

  • @retrocareermelted they are, if u havnt heard

  • @retrocareermelted Wall Street 2 -" Money Never Sleeps" Release Date — September 24, 2010

  • @kafka27 Worse than waiting for Christmas Day as a kid!

  • Great movie. Great music too, Vivaldi Four Seasons, Summer.

  • Wall Street 2 is being shot as we speak in lower Manhattan and will be released by the end of this year. Can't wait to see Gordon Gekko back in the saddle again!

  • @greeneyedsteamengine

It's funny about the 'Gordon Gekko' character, he's someone that I loved and hated at the same time back then, I loved the idea of being a winner and successful in the Stock Market, and yet I hated the idea of hurting others to get that success, could you have a kind, thoughtful and caring "Gordon Gekko"??...probably not, closest I suppose was his British rival "Sir Larry Wildman" who seem to have at least some morals but even he was corrupt, albeit not as much as GG.

  • @proff180 yeah u have to choose one side, be a winner or a loser

  • @proff180 Vanderbelt,and rockefeller where just 2 great men.

  • "how many yachts can you water ski from? " love that quote. Should say it one day day to my boss.

  • my favorite charlie sheen movie

  • Oh, my God, look at baby-face young Charlie Sheen!

  • Does anybody here realize that this movie is based on a 19th century novel by Honore de Balzac, "Pere Goriot?"

  • How could you turn off comments on the "Greed is good" clip!?

That clip would have provoked a great debate.....idiot!

  • Wall Street is really amazing film, true classic of the 80's. Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen were brilliant but I didn't like Daryl Hannah. They should have put Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer or Kathleen Turner instead of her - 3 most successful actresses of the 80's.

    I highly recommend this movie.

  • best movie i have ever see!

  • @Vandernick me too. I watch it 2 times a week . Never gets old

  • Greed is good...yeah yeah

  • awesome movie..classic. and very educational as well.. great cast

  • @decenttv well Truly Free Markets creating wealth vs. Crony Capitalism was never addressed. Nor was the Private Federal Reserve Bank. The Private Federal Reserve Is Never Discussed. 8 Private Banks Own The Private Federal Reserve That Prints & Controls Our Economy Goldman Sachs Bank - NY JP Morgan Chase Bank - NY Kuhn & Loeb - NY Hanover Trust (aka Rockefeller Family) - NY N.M. Rothschild Bank - UK Warburg Bank - Germany Israel Moses Seif - Israel Lazard Bros - France
  • @decenttv The funny thing is that the director wanted this movie to tell the downfall with the wallstreet-culture. It was never intended to be inspirational.

  • @Ko252 Yeah but he made Gordon Gekko so badass :p

  • @EasyGameFR I know.
