This movie has tons of priceless quotes. Whoever wrote some of these gem lines deserves a lot of credit.
'Greed is good' 'The thing about money is that it makes you do things you don't want to do'. 'You never had the guts to go out and stake your own claim'. 'Money never sleeps' 'The stock's going to Pluto' 'I create nothing, I own'. 'Get dressed, I'll show you my charts' 'So the falcon's heard the falconer' 'You'll have the shortest executive career since that pope who got poisoned'
@bailinnumberguy YOu forgot the best one: "Man looks into the abyss,he sees nothing staring back, that's when he finds his character, and that's what keeps him OUT of the abyss"
My Twitter (@divtactics) review: Charlie Sheen is fascinating, Michael Douglas is fantastic, but Darryl Hannah is neither, and the 80's style distracts

I honestly remember watching 20-20 and the show highlighted two scumbags from wallstreet having lunch, those weird funky little plates of food, these weirdos never did labor for a living; $2,400 dollars for each "guy". None of us want to be a "guy", embarrassing.
I listened to Robert Kiyosaki's advice on silver: "I believe this is the biggest investment anyone can make in the next 100yrs" I did my research and found an opportunity that has changed my life in 12 months. Take a look like i did.... Visit: goldsave.co/
Can someone explain why Shia Lebouf is in all of these films as of late? He isn't that great an actor. He isn't that good looking. He's in Transformers, Indiana Jones, Wall Street 2 now. The guy is such a loser, yet it seems like Hollywood swoons over him and gives him all these major roles. Why?
Oliver Stone showed us all that the big bankers of America fooled all of us into giving a false Bailout to make them more wealthy..Thank you Mr. Stone.
@MissNathalieAnn Have you seen the movie "Inception"? Joseph Gordon Leavitt Could of stood side by side with Michel Douglas & play the character better than Shia.
@MissNathalieAnn Shia was fine. The stuff about the family relationships is what killed the 2nd film. They should have stuck to simply the back room wheeling and dealing while minimizing the father-daughter relationship.
Wall Street 2 is being shot as we speak in lower Manhattan and will be released by the end of this year. Can't wait to see Gordon Gekko back in the saddle again!
It's funny about the 'Gordon Gekko' character, he's someone that I loved and hated at the same time back then, I loved the idea of being a winner and successful in the Stock Market, and yet I hated the idea of hurting others to get that success, could you have a kind, thoughtful and caring "Gordon Gekko"??...probably not, closest I suppose was his British rival "Sir Larry Wildman" who seem to have at least some morals but even he was corrupt, albeit not as much as GG.
Wall Street is really amazing film, true classic of the 80's. Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen were brilliant but I didn't like Daryl Hannah. They should have put Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer or Kathleen Turner instead of her - 3 most successful actresses of the 80's.
check my channel for video's about daytrading and trade like me in forex (EUR/USD, CAD/JPY etc.), stocks (coca-cola, phillips etc.), commodities (gold, silver, oil etc.) and indices (Nasdaq, Nikkei etc.)
It is ironic that Gecko´s speeches which in his view legitimizes his unscrupulous behaviour has become an inspiration rather than a deterrent for just the kind of people whose mentality the film criticizes. I don´t believe that it was Stone´s intention to make Gecko´s character into a motivator but on the other hand there has always been people like Gecko. In the end, what they do to others, eventually catches up with them......but not always.
@decenttv well Truly Free Markets creating wealth vs. Crony Capitalism was never addressed. Nor was the Private Federal Reserve Bank. The Private Federal Reserve Is Never Discussed. 8 Private Banks Own The Private Federal Reserve That Prints & Controls Our Economy Goldman Sachs Bank - NY JP Morgan Chase Bank - NY Kuhn & Loeb - NY Hanover Trust (aka Rockefeller Family) - NY N.M. Rothschild Bank - UK Warburg Bank - Germany Israel Moses Seif - Israel Lazard Bros - France
@decenttv The funny thing is that the director wanted this movie to tell the downfall with the wallstreet-culture. It was never intended to be inspirational.
