  • I Call Your Name, great!!!

  • @lifeisdead01 Thank you for comment! :D

  • Well his guitar is definitely not one of the modern 360 12-strings, because mine does not have edges around the outside. They are curved/tapered. Unless he's got a 330 12, 360c64 12 (Rick's replica of the old model).

Oh and big thumbs up to the guy that said don't rely on tabs!! I use tabs to point me in the right direction and save time, but hey!! If something doesn't sound right when you listen to the song...CHANGE IT!! I can't tell you how many bad covers of "Crazy Train" I've seen =)

  • You've got the Beatles down....sounds great !

  • @martindr2 Thanks man!

  • great job primo :)

  • This Guitar never is a Rickenbacker !!!! This is Korea made !! I no it, cause i have the same, with "Johnson Brand"

  • Very nice job

  • Has that 330 got white neck bindin?

  • @joe101188 Hi! nop, this is a johnson 12 strings... and sounds great! :D

  • @lantherv Good sound from the Johnson. I have a Ricky 330/12 and I reckon your guitar sounds just a little thinner, but that could be the reproduction or recording.

A good sound anyhow. Looks like a nice Fireglo too. better than many Ricks.

  • nice gat

  • Does anyone knows a copy from Gretsch country gentleman?

  • For johnuk67: I looking for a Johnson 12 strings...do you know a store where i can buy this??? Thanks!

  • This Ric snob can tell because the frets are marked with dots, not triangles. Just beginning, though, so I can't tell anything from the sound. Very nice demo.

  • Very Nice

  • Nice playing!

I have both a Rickenbacker 330 and the Johnson 12 string you are playing. Yes, the Ric is an amazing guitar and it's great to have the real thing, however, the Johnson copy is a wonderful sounding guitar also and is extremely close to a Ric 12. I doubt the snobs out there would be able to tell the difference if they could not see the guitar brand. Look forward to seeing more of your playing. Cheers

  • where did u get the Johnson 12 string?

  • man u must really be in the know cos nowhere does he mention Johnson, only ric360! thanks for the lead tho,cos no way can i afford a rickenbacker just now, and from wat u say the johnson is pretty close.

Thanks also to lantherv , ive faved yr video!

  • I lookig for a Johnson 12 strings....do you know where i can buy this???

  • Nice job, i've seen a lot of tabs, but they way you play it, sounds goog, i'll try to find the tab more close to your style...

    Well Done!!!

  • Thanks man! I didn't use tabs... i play it by ear... :)

    Thanks for comment!

  • @harrisongs That should teach you a lesson- don't rely on tabs. Always rely on your ear. I learned that a long time ago. Just try learning a song by ear. If you can't figure it out, look up tabs. Then, deprive yourself of tabs more and more, whenever you learn a song. When you familiarize yourself with notes and chords and shapes, it gets easier. And it's more efficient, and alot better for you as a musician. ; )

  • the guitars an , indie , and ive just bought one , sounds great and plays great : )

  • That's my dream guitar!

  • it was mine, now i finally have one

  • mine too! but i´ve got two. a 360/12C63 FG

    and a 325/6 JG.

  • I agree with Tennisnick in regards to copies of RIC's and the infringement rights.Rickenbacker Corp will go to any length's to shut down illegal copies of their guitars.

I saw a RIC copy years ago. From a distance, it looked like a RIC 360. Once you had a close up look, you knew it was a RIC knock off...Looked like it was made out of Plywood !!!

I own a 2002 Ricky 360-FG six string. Anyone who owns a real Rickenbacker, knows that there is nothing out there ( Copies ) like the real McCoy..

  • If this isn't a Rickenbacker, what is the brand name of this RIC copy ? I've heard that the Japs are making Rickenbacker copies.

How about showing the whole guitar in your next video? I've heard about these copies, though I've never seen one !

  • i´m playing a johnson copy of a rick 330/12. it looks and sounds exactly like the real thing.

  • Wow and i made my dad buy the real thing ahahahahaha!

  • What's up!

    Thanks for the comments!

Yes this is'nt a original Ricken, but a post this video because i like so much the sound of the guitar... Thanks again for view :)

  • hi , as you will know ,quite a few guys have asked what make of rick 12 (copy) you play

    but you have,nt answered !

i hope you can put us all out of our misery and tell us the make of your guitar ,ther country it was made in and the price too.cheers jimmy and the price too .

if its made in china or japan ,then maybe it will be a lot cheaper than a real rick 12 , allthough it sounds just as good as an origonal rick 12 ,and you play it very well.

  • The copies are illegal to sell, so by withholding the company name, he's probably trying to protect himself/the company making them.

  • not all copies are illegal copies .

i know that (indie ) make a copy ,and another company that i cant remember at the moment.

if it is an , indie , i will go for one as they will be a lot cheaper ,and if that is an , indie that he,s playing , then ,why pay a fortune , that guitar sounds like the real thing : ) ,jimmy .

  • p s , there is a guy on youtube demoing a indie 12 string ,but he does,nt sound as good as this ,( lantherv ) guy< who is demoing , what your doing , but they could still be both , indies , and this guy has a better set up on the guitar .

all i wanna know is ,what make the guitar is ?

  • It's not that the guitar itself is illegal. If I want to build mysel a dead nuts 4001, nothing is stopping me. Selling them is however, against the law, because they infringe of trademarks owned by RIC. As far as I know, the only company claiming to make a guitar licensed by RIC is Chandler. You'll notice Indie still has a 4003 looking bass on the site, but it's only a picture, it's not in the list of models. RIC shut em down, like they should.

  • no its not a ric, look closely theres no fifth control knob (blend control) nice playing though

  • Liked it alot! Keep posting!

  • Thanx man!... I'll do.. :)

  • I have a copy just like that, except its a 6 string! i want a 12 stringer though.Amazing playing and some amazing tunes! 20 stars

  • Yeah!!! This guitar have an amazing sound! I love it... Thanks for your comments!!! :)

  • What kind of guitar is that ? cos its not a 360 looks like a 330. but neck looks different colour with white binding... Good playing tho !!

  • If that's an original Rickenbacker, then it's not a 360-12 FG but a 330-12 FG :)

  • I'd say it's not an original, as they've never done binding on the 330's, the inlays don't look quite right, and the tailpiece looks to be a "spaghetti" tailpiece found on the imitations that come out of China. Great playing man, really good.

  • I have to agree with you on this one. I have been playing RIC's for many years and I have yet to see a 330 12 that looks like this one!

I also notice on this medley that you don't see the Rickenbacker name plate Truss Rod Cover in the video.... ???

  • yuarrr rrrili guuud maaan!!!

  • Thanx broda!!!

  • 5 star all the way

  • Thanks a lot man!
