@LondonTaipei i dun think it's the same outfit. i mean michelle's outfit is definitely more plain then yuna's. similar colour but that doesn't really say anything. there are significant differences too (like yuna's dress is a halter but not michelle's and michelle dress has small white pearls but not yuna's) i'm not sure if the skirt's the same, but it doesn't look so.

I am korean and I think that kim probably deserved the gold in terms of her overall performance...but i must say she just doesn't do it for me...lacks the artistry and innate ability to reach out and open up on the ice. if anyone in this olympics reminds me of my personal fave sasha cohen, it is asada.

'Body line' and 'flexibility' is only 2 of the 6 positive GOE components if you take a look at ISU guidelines last season. It includes superb energy, speed, edges and musical structure which yuna shows. Also ISU judges tends to reward 'good' technical elements even if they may not be 'super-duper' elements (like Alissa's or Caroline's) and especially so towards top skaters. This is greatly due to the characteristics of CoP, but I don't think Yuna's spirals and those similar are being overscored.

No. I am not Japanese..American-latino. Please, look at the position on her spiral. She needs more stretch and it is a bit un stable too, especially when she changes edge--but she has speed. I am just telling what i see. I like, Yuna, Mao, caroline and othe skaters. I state their weaknesses too. For example: Mao lacks passion and maturity compared to Yuna. Caroline is a lovely skater, better spiral position and spins compared to Yuna. But lacks power, speed and needs better position in jumps.

Because she made mistake 3S jump. so she couldn't do flying sit spin. instead of it she did other spin which was already excuted. In fact she lost about 8 points because of 3S and Spin.
I thought she already executed the flying sit spin...
and as for peanutbuttersk8r's comment, I believe it was not rewarded points because it was not a required element (change foot combination spin), but for the program's artistic quality, it's included as a final ending move.

yes, I thought wrong. you're right. she did already flying sit spin. Anyway she couldn't executed some spin after 3S jump. i think maybe that is changing foot spin. so she executed same spin again. that's way she could get the points of one spin. If 3S jump was executed she could get about more 8 points(3S+Spin). that is my opinion. but i don't care because she has many chances to make it later. Obviously she showed best performance at that time.
Actually I recently watched a docu-type special on Yuna and turns out, she experienced a back pain after doing a flying sit spin the last time so she and her coach decided to change it into a regular spin. But she already had that spin at the end of the program and she needed TWO DIFFERENT spins in order to get points for both of them. It was a mistake they made to take out the flying sit spin and coach Orser said this in an interview... :(

I see her as a great technical jumper. She needs to work on refining her positions on her spins and spirals. Great jumper, but not as lovely and enjoyable to watch as skaters like Sasha Cohen or even Caroline Zhang.
I love this program so much, it's my favourite long program from her. She's amazing!

ok...i would really like to know if you all believe that her spiral is the best out there? Because she was given the highest score for her spiral: 5.00...Alissa was also given a, 5.00...Come on...It is not the best spiral...maybe they gave her a high score because of the speed? But, the position? please. Alissa, Caroline and others spirals are better...I like yuna, but please let us not be bias...so what do you think?

'Body line' and 'flexibility' is only 2 of the 6 positive GOE components if you take a look at ISU guidelines last season. It includes superb energy, speed, edges and musical structure which yuna shows. Also ISU judges tends to reward 'good' technical elements even if they may not be 'super-duper' elements (like Alissa's or Caroline's) and especially so towards top skaters. This is greatly due to the characteristics of CoP, but I don't think Yuna's spirals and those similar are being overscored.

so, if Alissa, caroline, or Sashas spiral is slower then Yuna's they will still be scored lower then yuna's? yes?

No. I am not Japanese..American-latino. Please, look at the position on her spiral. She needs more stretch and it is a bit un stable too, especially when she changes edge--but she has speed. I am just telling what i see. I like, Yuna, Mao, caroline and othe skaters. I state their weaknesses too. For example: Mao lacks passion and maturity compared to Yuna. Caroline is a lovely skater, better spiral position and spins compared to Yuna. But lacks power, speed and needs better position in jumps.

bumwuna, do you really think her spiral is better then, Caroline's, Alissa, mirai, Mao's, rochette, kostner?..i can go on. be honest. I am not trying to argue. again. yuna has the speed and holds it a long time. That in itself is nice.

Because she made mistake 3S jump. so she couldn't do flying sit spin. instead of it she did other spin which was already excuted. In fact she lost about 8 points because of 3S and Spin.

and as for peanutbuttersk8r's comment, I believe it was not rewarded points because it was not a required element (change foot combination spin), but for the program's artistic quality, it's included as a final ending move.
Anyways, I know she lost points on the 3S but did she really lose points on the following spin? could you explain it more specifically?

yes, I thought wrong. you're right. she did already flying sit spin. Anyway she couldn't executed some spin after 3S jump. i think maybe that is changing foot spin. so she executed same spin again. that's way she could get the points of one spin. If 3S jump was executed she could get about more 8 points(3S+Spin). that is my opinion. but i don't care because she has many chances to make it later. Obviously she showed best performance at that time.

Actually I recently watched a docu-type special on Yuna and turns out, she experienced a back pain after doing a flying sit spin the last time so she and her coach decided to change it into a regular spin. But she already had that spin at the end of the program and she needed TWO DIFFERENT spins in order to get points for both of them. It was a mistake they made to take out the flying sit spin and coach Orser said this in an interview... :(

I see her as a great technical jumper. She needs to work on refining her positions on her spins and spirals. Great jumper, but not as lovely and enjoyable to watch as skaters like Sasha Cohen or even Caroline Zhang.
