I hated FO3 for much the same reasons that other ppl did. I see why the game appeals to others, but to me, I hated the lack of balance, the terrible dialogue and plot, the terrible voice actors, the lack of actual choices (besides just being good or evil) that makes a real rpg, etc (too lazy to name all). I loved Obsidian though for fixing these core problems and more in NV. Bethesda's assets and Obsidian's vision. THIS is what I want to see in FO4.

I'll try to keep this brief because there's a char limit. -_- NV had witty dialogue, generally good writing (especially in the DLCs), solid voice actors, a lot of interesting weapons, more freedom in how you can go about doing quests, and morally gray decisions. Now NV isn't without faults, and it actually takes a little time for the game to pick up, but I ended up loving it. Just my own (and others) two cents on the matter.

@Bigskitty I don't want to 'nitpick' those things, I just try to enjoy the game(unless it's like the dad from Heavy Rain, terrible), I don't know what it was of F3 that I liked, I just did. It was fun, addictive, & different from games I've played.But I see why it's important to worry about that, a while on F3 I felt like an errand boy doing all the shooting, Wasteland exploring was better than the quests. Retrospect: F3 did pick up slow to me. The morally gray decision thing is true too.

@METALGEARSOL1D too bad that Fallout 3 and FNV we're very solid games. Even one of the best in the past years. You fail to see that the games offers thousands of gaming hours and even then, there's still somethign that's new. Not saying it can't be improved though.

I also played Fallout 1 (after playing both FO3 and FNV) and I liked it (a lot), but Fallout 1 lacks today's graphics, content (as in quantity) and gameplay (round based 2d isometric would scare off a lot of players)

The best dialog option for me is when i took the quest for arefu , and thanks to a stupid mistake of not actually going INSIDE the train station , i had no idea where to go unti i went back there to check after i had beaten the game. suprise , so i dodged the traps , killed the mirelurk , talked my way into the family and found the boy after 30 hours of total gameplay.
