When they got to places like netherlands, Egypt, Iwo Jima, Samoa, Gallipoli, Siberia, Belgium, Guadacanal and many many many more . All they wanted to do was survive. They saw their friends die, They watched their enemies die, they wiped the blood off their faces because they were the front line. That was war. They lived real war. Not button pressing and strategic points.
