Some am I crazy or did the volume of the talking seem to not change in level as he moved away from it. It was super loud when he was up next to it, but it was the same level when he moved away! If so, that's some awesome technology!

from what i am seeing, i am understanding that the poster has a speaker in it and it is saying that you can hear it from a distance

It's also directional so even if you're very close to it but not directly in front of it, you won't hear a thing.
