Meanwhile, NOBODY sees Pac in terms of conveying emotion in lyrics. Period.

To even compare him to Jay, he'd need an album at least as strong as The Blueprint--nevermind Reasonable Doubt, which is arguably a flawless record.

Em is a technical lyricist and is arguably better than Ra (also technical), but Ra has stronger musicianship. He's sitting on 3 classic albums. Em has 0. Meanwhile, NOBODY sees Pac in terms of conveying emotion in lyrics. Period.

@joshthepunkifyed MMLP is pretty good (not a classic, but pretty good), but I don't really like TES show at all outside of one or two tracks. As good a rapper as Em is, his music just doesn't hold up. His beats tend to suck and 99% of his songs are one-dimensional. His strongest records are honestly his freestyles.
To even compare him to Jay, he'd need an album at least as strong as The Blueprint--nevermind Reasonable Doubt, which is arguably a flawless record.

My issue is specifically calling him the best rapper ever when he's never really made an album worthy of earning that title. 3) MMLP was solid, and the closest he's gotten to making a classic album. That said, I can't agree that he has a large collection of good songs, though...because he doesn't. On 9 out of 10 Eminem songs, the beat or hook will be terrible (usually both--see TES, Relapse, Recovery, etc.).
