sometimes its hard though, like, say a dagohir fighting an amtgard group, because we have diffrent rules. But you go by the rules of the homeland, in other words if your fighting an amtgard team on their turf, go by there rules, and vice versa.

You can express your "medieval side" in the SCA way as well. It's not called the Society for creative Anachronism because we act like aliens from the future. We recreate customs pre 1600. And just so you know, the SCA is spread out much farther that Dagorhir, so people have alot less trouble finding an SCA group near them then Dagorhir. I went on the Daghorir site, and the closest "Chapter" was a whole state away from me.

only expensive if you make it, My lamellar was made from a heavy duty plastic pickle barrel, and most other pieces of armor can be made by scrounging at your local dump. got me on the helmet though. They run from 100 bucks and up, but you NEVER have to replace them. And you get really cool brooses from all the fighting, right now, my inner and outer thighs are bruised, as are my shoulders, but it gets my adrenaline pumping.

To the person who said SCA rules, I'm half and half. I love Dagorhir because it's easier to put together. You can form a group with just 20 of your friends and do skirmishes.

SCA events always take so much more prep and shit. Plus I don't like the membership fee...$40?
