This game was soo freakin realistic that when I would be in a squad walking around and I heard someone from my squad yell out "technical" or "contact", my heart would start pounding and It really felt like I was in battle. Call of duty never did felt like that.

Maybe you could add northern ireland maps.......The Brittish forces are already in the game......you could recycle some of the muslem faction characters or even some of the rusians....all they need is ballyclavas and army uniforms.......Wee Irish didnt have tanks or helicopters so no new models need to be made....just an idea....keep up the great work guys

@TheBOR1S THey are atm in the phase of testing 128 players alot of bugs with so many players as BF2 isnt optimized for it, but we will see 128 players in an update right now its still in the making. thousands of players on one server is alittle to much.

@Puzzoozoo There is a complete British faction since about 0.4. However, in this particular trailer, they are supposed to showcase the NEW VERSION, so therefore they are focusing on the IDF, the Hamas, and the Canadians, which were first introduced in 0.9. In the 0.95 they are focusing on the Germans as well, althought you see some of the new british vehicles and the new infantry as well., along with some of the new features like the mortars or the thermal sights.

@Puzzoozoo Indeed, however, I am myself waiting for PR for ArmA 2, therefore we may have the best of both games combined instead of suffering with the limitations and outdated graphics, physics and etc. of the old BF2 engine. Perhaps PR2, which will be an indie game with an release set to some years later, will be even better. Only time will tell :D

@BlackOps78321 well i see what you're getting at but its definitely not a shoot em up for kids, there's not a single kid who can play call of duty and then takes what he learns on COD into this... except for pointing and shooting. Yes Arma 2 is realistic, but the controls are mindlessly over complicated, and things like multipurpose tank shells are NOT realistic. oh and the sound effects are just ridiculous, AK's do not sound like 22. blanks, or M16's or SCAR's ETC.

I guess it's a fun mod but for a true realism/simulator player you would want to look into Arma2. This is like COD/Battlefield but the map streteched out a bit more, soas to make kids say "omg so realistic, I have to walk 6 whole minutes" instead of 20 seconds. This isn't better than even original Operation Flashpoint but it's certainly better than the test they made 'Virtual BattleSpace1', Bohemia Interactive makes better sims, this is for kids who like to shoot 'em up and such.

The game can't run on Macs (i checked on my box), but the reqs aren't big: Intel Pentium4 1.7 GHz or more, 512 MB RAM, 4.0 GB disk space, Pixel Shader 1.4 128 MB graphics card. Yes, you play online against other players, but there's also a co-op offline mode. The game is really about realism actually, you have to be concentrated on tactical gameplay (6-man squads, sniper/spotter, pilot/gunner etc.).

How do the people on this treat beginners? I don't play many PC games but the ones I do are like S.T.A.L.K.E.R SOC on the harder difficulties, single-player but still difficult. But I'm completely new to non bad company battlefield products so is there a good way of getting used to this without the veterans getting pissed at me? Well Highlander it comes down to this, if your new and say as much to your team, they'll understand and help you out... if you keep quiet about it, decide you want to be a helo pilot, and flip the helo on the landing pad killing yourself and the passengers, because you dont know how to fly... THATS when the vets get pissed.

Just join up with an infantry squad for a week or so to get the lay of the land, and you should have no problems

Hey guys i just downloaded B2 both 1.41 and1.50 patches. Then all 3 parts of the download for 0.95. I dont have a account with realitymods and i dont have a online account with bf2 nor have i ever played bf2 online, i just downloaded all three parts, plus the 2 patches, and i STILL have no idea how to start the game PLEASE HELP

@rockyson990 Ok first of all you need a original BF2 disc with a genius serial

Uninstall everything and restart your computer 1THAN install BF2 again.

2THAN next install the latest patch for BF2, 3THAN install latest PR 0.95

You now have 3 new icons on your desktop, two red BF2 icons and one black PR icon. GO over the PR icon and press right mouse button and select run as administrator, now PR is starting. Make sure you have a BF2 online account in order to play the game.

@rockyson990 If you installed PR correctly, A "PR.exe" shortcut should be on your desktop, or located in Bf2/mods.

Make sure you have the 1.41 Patch, and the 1.50 patch installed.

Also, You do not access the mod through the "community" section of BF2. PR really has nothing to do with BF2 anymore, other then the engine.

First, Go to "My Computer", and then click your Hard-drive. NOW you can access your program files, with ought everything starting on its own. Search in your BF2 folder, for the mods section.

@biologyfuckyeah Uhh, actually, they ARE making a full, indepedent game, during about one year and a half from now.

Also, consoles usually don't provide enough hardware or buttons/keys for a simulator. There is OPF 2, for example however, which has been adapted for consoles, being naturally a PC title as simulator, but both PC and console gamers think almost universally that the game is a disaster. The PR devs, with a so low budget, made so much. Just imagine if they had a little extra money?

Hey, i cant seem to find help for this anywere, i used to play this mod, and id like to do it again, so i downloaded the version of this (the newest one so far) that comes in 3 parts, it calls them 1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3, so i did that and installed i have 1.50 patch but it wont acts like its going to start, the screen is black, then goes back to desktop please help me!
