What kind of file make this camera? .dv? .avi?

it was on my ixus 500 as well, and ixus 400.. canon is crap
it actually is worse on this model, than ixus 500
Thankyou, there's so many choices with camera's of this price range and size and your test has just helped me eliminate this one

I just got one of these cameras and have no problems with it and in fact it is a great camera

Well as you can see pointing the camera into direct sunlight, with moving objects makes the CMOS sensor go nuts, so no not such a great camera.

This camera should be taken back to the seller. I seen a lot of footage from this cam and sometimes there were artifacts, but this is of course not acceptable.

the lines on a bright places are - crap... that bug goes on canon camera for a long time...
