  • Holy shit, that 4th position clean. *droooooooooooool*

  • Is he a gay?

  • @rayenantheny You must be or you wouldn't ask.

  • @morgenholz : Ahh so it's not him, it's you..

  • NO HE A BIICHONAAAA....HUNN

  • 4th pickup

  • Comment removed

  • @ 3:15 you mean the idea that Leo Fender Came up with 60 or so years ago?

  • Sounded so much like John 5's tone 0_0

    I guess it's the pickup ;p

  • not really in to the sound..... eww

  • Listen closely at 2:00.. What are those screams in the background???

  • it looks like a Les Paul, Strat, SG hybrid.....

  • @lykndamuzic

or it could just be an original design

  • it looks like an SG, Stratocaster, Telecaster hybrid....

  • I'm sure it's beens said before, but he got it wrong when he said that the SB Classic is chambered. The Solid Body Standard and Custom are chambered, but the Classic is truly solid. And before you call shenanigans on me, I own a Classic in natural. No seems in the wood except for the bookmatching.... plus I read that on Taylor's own website.

  • I want the twin mini-humbucker model.

  • so beautiful, thats all i can say.

  • He says that the body is chambered.

    Isn't that a mistake?

The Standard and Custom are chambered, but this classic is completely solid -apart from the "swiiming pool" routing under the pickguard.

    Still want one though......

  • @378ejb its completely solid i know the guy that runs the department

  • @eyelikeblitzin

    I've got one now!

    A Classic with natural finish.

    Sounds beautiful.

  • wow, this guiatr is awesome! very "clean" flawless sounds

  • I thought Michael J. Fox was in bad health??

  • one of the best guitars ive ever played.

  • Damn, the range of tone is amazing.

    Seems well worth the money.

  • i absolutely love this guitar. I definitely consider on buying it, the sound is just so harmonious, those single coils definitely do their jobs

  • looks like the guy who made out with austinn powers in goldmember... just without he the mole.

  • I wonder if they make body blanks?

  • What a lovely clean sound! Typical single coil. Love it. The design is simple yet stylish as well!

  • Amazing. These guitars are extremly expensive i guess?

  • Yea, like $1,300 list.

  • i own one with humbuckers

    its amazing

  • tweaky

  • Wow, the clean sounds pretty heaven.

  • this is expensive as hell man .

  • Because of Parkinson's.

  • this is a great reviw, why is it rated one star? ppl in this world are fuckin stupid like really, name one thing he fucked up in this review, he covered everything for fuck sakes

  • wow! love that u can get diff pickups and not pay to mutch money to have someone switch em out

  • tayor are like the best guitars ever & this is a sweet guitar but i think the t5 are the best

  • The guitar sounds really nice, it copes very well under high gain.

  • great sounding guitar :)

  • That is one sexy guitar

  • oh god he always has his treble up so goddamn high when he's using a clean sound

  • not just the clean sound... the amp is always set soooo bright.

  • Ha, agreed so much! Every review is pretty teble-y! Could be due to the mic placement and not taking into consideration that miking a guitar is different than sitting in front of one.

  • I mainly play metal, and this intruges me... XD

  • same a single coil at the neck with a humbucker at the bridge are a good combo for metal

  • Ive played one of these with humbuckers. it was up there with gibson and PRS if not better(well not better than PRS)

  • if i had his job id just get carried away and just..play and not bother explaning it!

  • me 2

  • Great sounding guitar. I would expect nothing less from Taylor.

  • He's rppin' up on that penatonic/mixalydian mode! I love Paul, ever since the Dimebag review he did.

  • hell no, those pickups sux with gain

  • really?? i like the sound a bit. sounds like an old school surf movie lol

  • forget what i said... the first ones were ok but the end ones were horrible xD

  • The guy does a good job. and at least he has a fun job, unlike most of you.

However, a word about the guitar, did anyone else think that one the clean channel that the bridge and bridge/mid pick kind of bottemed out?

  • It's sad that modern guitars doesn't have a plug n play pickup system where you can just plug the pickup in place and play.

  • I think you can do that if you install EMG Pickups in your guitar, but you still need to unscrew some stuff.

  • check out the ampeg amg100. very cool feature it has.

  • Just checked them out, and that is kind of what I'm looking for. An easy way to change pickups, you should even be able to change pickups between songs if you ask me. It's 2009 and it's probaly a REALLY easy thing to implent!

  • ya they should have been able to do that long time ago... and i hope ampeg lets other companies use that idea.

  • i wonder what amp is being used here. It sounds bright, tinny and abrasive

  • Everyone should stfu up about Paul, he's doing a damn good job and I'd be willing to bet he's fifty times better than most of the people who rip on him.

  • if you're going to insult somebody, please make sure you spell everything right.

  • Poor paul, just getting ripped on all the time. :(

  • i know... i like paul he does probably the best job reviewing gear..

  • companies should do that pickup thing with all of their guitars it would be much ezer

  • they do, they sell fender strat pickguards with variuse configs and they are pre routed

  • by 1:54 i start thinking..."JUST PLAY IT ALREADY!"

  • Someone kill this guy. That or guitarworld needs to get a new guy, someone who isn't a complete tool, its tiering listening to him.

  • maybe you should apply. I'd like to see how you manage. Paul in my opinion is doing a great job. He can jam in 35345 styles, and he knows what he's talking about. Unlike you, apparently.

  • Ok, I'll shut up now. I don't want to incur the wrath of the Paul Riario fan club. All I'm saying is something needs to change. Maybe I was a bit harsh, but it gets old watching him do jazz hands and say the same thing every review.

  • him doing the same thing every review is useful if you want to get an apples to apples isnt it?

  • well.........all hes doing is showing fetures of guitars. his job is not to impress everyone with a cool riff or lick. his job is to get into more details with the guitar. he doesnt need to play different things.

  • great stuff .

  • he must, to speak about the guitar

  • nobody cares if you are first.

  • wow, you got first comment, thats gunna get you a job in future and its going to score you about 50 friends.
